RAVE NEW WORLD Inside UNVRS: I went clubbing at the world's first hyperclub that opened in Ibiza this week
UNVRS, pronounced Universe - described as the world's first hyper club, has opened in Ibiza with a big bang.
The new club promises to launch a new era of futuristic clubbing - so I headed down on the opening night to find out what that really meant.

There has been a nightclub on the site - 20 minutes inland from Ibiza Old Town - since 1979, when it first opened as Ku.
It was then rebranded as Privilege in 1995 when it became known as the world's largest club with parties of up to 10,000 people at a time.
Now, after viral marketing campaigns featuring a UFO sighting, and Hollywood star Will Smith, plus a multi-million pound makeover, it has been redesigned as the 'world's first hyperclub.'
And what does that mean exactly? Apparently, it's the combination of high-end luxury and attention to detail, in an arena-sized event.
Everything is handmade in such detail that it's supposed to be as perfect acoustically as an opera house, with the walls made of a porous material and the bar tilted to avoid the cavernous echo that you get in so many massive nightclubs.
I joined thousands of revellers on opening night, which saw Carl Cox's return to Ibiza for a 14-week residency at UNVRS - his first on the island since Space closed in 2016.
And it is MASSIVE. The club is so huge that you can easily lose your bearings in the underground network of corridors and dance rooms - helpfully, there is free wifi in case you lose your mates in the maze.
But it is very, very slick. The main room is where all the magic happens, with a soundsystem that is crisper and clearer than any other on the island.
Aerial acrobats perform high above the VIP balconies and main dance floor, where the Privilege swimming pool has been consigned to history.
The immersive lighting was next level too, as the lights come towards you, instead of just vertically, making you feel almost connected to the stage and helps to overcome the feeling of so many people in one room together.
The best bit was at dawn, when the screens behind the DJ decks turned off to reveal 12-metre cathedral-like windows showing off the spectacular sunrise over the island - well worth hanging on for, given the club stays open to 6am each night.
And the famous Privilege glass dome? That's been kept intact, and now houses a huge sculpture called the Tree of Life.

There's some outside space on the garden terrace known as the Gravity Garden and Sky Deck too, which has been decorated with lots of greenery.
The new venue is the brain child of The Night League, who is also responsible for major island nightclubs Ushuaïa and Hï.
And they've introduced many of the much-loved elements they've already tested at Hï, including the mini nightclub in the loos.
Called The Wild Comet (it's The Wild Corner at Hï), there's a smaller dance room underground where unisex loo cubicles line the walls and a DJ plays in the centre of the room.
It's certainly the vibiest public toilet I've ever been to, although the unique queuing system takes some getting used it, and by that I mean there is no queue and you have to hover and look out for one of the loo doors opening.
There is also a karaoke room that could easily fit around 150 people and a fast food joint.
The outlet of Spanish brand Vicio Burger serves burgers for €23 (£19.40) and chips for €8 (£6.76), or a very fancy-sounding chicken strips topped with caviar for €80 (£67.50).

While it quite quiet when we visited around 2am, I can see it being very popular with punters before they head home.
Prices for drinks at the bar weren't cheap, at €15 (£12.67) for a bottle of water and €26 (£21.96) for a glass of wine, but they are pretty much in line with Ibiza super club prices.
But the club also plays a part in keeping costs down too - laying on shuttle buses from San Antonio and Ibiza Old Town that are included in the price of the club ticket.
Without a doubt, UNVRS has elevated the nightclub experience and it's definitely the best super club in Ibiza now.
Other, more historic places might have more soul, but this is the most advance and forward-thinking club.
Plus, the music is what makes the night, and with an enviable DJ line up including Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, David Guetta, Jamie Jones and the unique Elrow party, it's become the must-visit of the island for clubbers both young and old.

But while the two stunners looked incredible both with and without the glowy make-up, the clip, unfortunately, landed on the so-called 'wrong side of TikTok'. Hiding behind their profiles, thousands of online trolls flooded to comments, where many said Coco looked ''the same age'' as her mum - who is more than 25 years older. While some wondered if the two were ''sisters'', others dubbed the cute duo ''older twins'', as they begged Coco to start using ''sunscreen''. Meanwhile, some brutal viewers refused to believe the daughter was 25 - and others shared their unsolicited beauty tips to ''look younger''. After reading the thousands of ''awful and nasty'' comments about her looks, the US-based TikToker posted a follow-up message hitting back at the meanies. Sharing a series of snaps of herself and her mum, Coco said: ''I've never had anything done to my face because I felt like it wasn't necessary. ''I've always had freckles and pale skin because I'm a ginger,'' said Coco who posts under the username @curatedbycoco___. Coco, who's always sported ''blonde eyebrows'' trolls urged her to dye ''darker'', added that she's also using sun cream - despite what some may think. ''I have, wear a tonne of sunscreen because I live at the beach - and I've never entered a tanning bed in my life.'' I've lost 9 stone & am barely recognisable from my former self - my transformation's so insane people even think it's AI She went on: ''I don't remember asking others for opinions. And I couldn't care less what random people think about us. ''Keep your comments to yourself next time speaking about someone looks,'' Coco urged everyone to be kinder in the caption. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help soothe the skin, reduce redness, and promote a clearer complexion. One fan said: ''PEOPLE ONLINE ARE MISERABLE!!!! You're beautiful!'' Someone else chimed in: ''you're just a happy person with smile lines why is everyone so mean.'' A third commented: ''You are STUNNING. Unsolicited opinion, I think if you filled in your brows darker it would have a youthful effect. But truly you look your age and are gorgeous.'' Meanwhile, another wrote: ''As a fellow ginger we are more prone to sunburn which means drier, wrinkle prone skin. ''Many people are overdoing it but both you guys need/needed to protect your skin more. People wouldn't point it out if it wasn't in our face.''

David is now famed for his three-way 'throuple' relationships with girlfriend Sian Osborne, 33, and other women. And if he joins the South Africa-based spin-off, he could be urged to spill the beans on his exploits by other celeb camp mates. A source said: 'David was delighted to get the call from ITV. The real life North Wales story behind new BBC drama Confessions of a Steroid Gang

A new BBC series has revealed how a steroid empire based in North Wales was dismantled, partly through a dodgy dog grooming shop set up to launder the money being made. Confessions of a Steroid Gang tells the real life story of Macaulay Dodd and his father Andrew who were jailed after their £1m steroid lab was uncovered. The three-part series reveals how Macaulay, portrayed by Rhondda-based actor Garin Williams, first became addicted to steroids at 15 in the pursuit to achieve the perfect body before he would go on to cook up £1.2m worth of the Class C drug. Although anabolic steroids are a Class C drug, there is an exemption for personal use. Struggling with his relationship with his dad following his parents divorce, Macaulay latched onto his older, gym-going brother and his circle of older friends. His trips to the gym soon turned into something darker when he began injecting steroids at 15, becoming addicted to build the perfect body. His dad, Andrew Dodd, was also struggling. A former Dee estuary fisherman, he was desperate to change his circumstances when he had a chance encounter with a man in the pub who introduced him to the world of steroids. Hearing that 1.5 million people in the UK were using the drug, he decided to get involved. The pair reconnected when Macauley was 18 and living out his car in Deeside before they moved to St Asaph, where they set up their steroid lab in a remote farmhouse. It started as a small scheme in a garden shed but quickly evolved into one of the UK's biggest underground steroid labs, Renvex. The pair were importing the raw ingredients, mainly synthetic testosterone, from China, and formed a network of members of the public who would accept parcels for them without asking questions. Join the North Wales Live Whatsapp community now Speaking on the show, Andrew said: "I didn't really class myself as a criminal. I'd just seen myself as a business owner." A police operation in London eventually led to the discovery of a large quantity of steroids in a flat belonging to Terence Murrell, an online dealer who was buying from Renvex. Documents at the home led police to find a payment to a dog grooming business that Andrew and Macauley had set up in Ruthin to launder the money. North Wales Police closed in on the father and son's operation. They were arrested in a dawn raid and police finally uncovered the lab at the centre of it all. Andrew said it "felt like a relief at the time", fed up of "deceiving" those around him. Both Andrew and Macauley were sentenced to spend five years in prison in 2018. Despite their court-room bust up, they spent their time in prison together, which Macauley said "saved" their relationship. Including testimony from steroid users, experts and those affected by the culture, Confessions of a Steroid Gang shows how image-obsessed social media, testosterone supplements and a booming black market collided and highlights the health risks of unregulated steroid use and addiction. Speaking on his involvement in the series, Garin Williams, who played Macauley said it was the "biggest project" he'd been involved in so far. "As an actor, you want to show as much emotion as possible on screen and with this story about Macauley's life I had a great opportunity to do so."
