F&O Strategy: NALCO to Oberoi Realty— Rupak De suggests buy or sell strategy for THESE stocks

Minta day ago

Stock market today: The Indian stock markets commenced the week positively, opening higher on Monday due to a boost in investor confidence following the recent substantial rate cut announced by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
The Nifty 50 index started at 25,131.25, increasing by 128.20 points or 0.51%. Likewise, the Sensex opened the day at 82,616.12, climbing by 427.13 points or 0.52%.
Market analysts are optimistic that Indian equities will remain strong throughout the day. This robust momentum is being driven not only by the RBI's rate cut and liquidity initiatives but also by favorable signals from global markets.
On the F&O segment, Rupak De of LKP Securities, has suggested National Aluminium Company (NALCO), and Oberoi Realty shares to buy or sell. Here's what De says about the overall market and stocks.
The stock index witnessed a sharp upmove following a bold policy announcement by the RBI. Closing above the 25,000 mark for the first time in several sessions reflects renewed optimism among market participants. Historically, a rally followed by consolidation often leads to an upward breakout, and a similar pattern appears to be unfolding now. On the upside, immediate resistance is seen at 25,150.
A breakout above this level — or sustained trade above 25,000 — could pave the way for a move towards 25,350. On the downside, support is placed at 24,850. A decisive fall below this level may dampen the current momentum and lead to profit booking.
Open Interest Analysis: Huge additions were seen in the open interest at the 25,000 PUT; apart from that 24,900 and 24,800 strikes witnessed decent Put addition. While CALL writers added substantial positions at the 25,500 strikes on Friday. Maximum CALL open interest was seen at the 25,500 strike, whereas maximum PUT open interest was seen at 25,000, indicating a broader range for the market. Currently the PUT writers are slightly outnumbering the CALL writers for current weekly expiry.
Strategy: Strength increases if Nifty 50 sustains above 25,000 in the first hour.
Trade: Buy Nifty 12 June 25200CE ABOVE 120 TGT 180 SL 84.
NALCO share price has exhibited a breakout following a phase of consolidation on the daily chart, reflecting renewed investor confidence. The stock continues to trade above its 50-day moving average, indicating sustained bullish sentiment. Additionally, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has formed a bullish crossover, supporting the momentum. Given the constructive market outlook, the stock is well-positioned to approach the ₹ 200 level in the near term. A long position may be initiated with a stop-loss set below ₹ 183.
IIFL share price has been demonstrating a strong uptrend, characterized by a pattern of higher highs and higher lows. The recent breakout above the previous swing high on the daily chart signals continuation of this upward trajectory. The stock has also surpassed its 200-day moving average, suggesting a transition to a positive long-term trend. The RSI remains in a bullish crossover and continues to strengthen, confirming the prevailing momentum. A long position can be considered with a stop-loss placed below ₹ 433, as the stock targets a move towards ₹ 485 in the short term.
Oberoi Realty share price has broken above a key swing high on the daily chart, indicating renewed strength in its upward momentum. The stock is trading firmly above its 200-day moving average, underscoring the continuation of the prevailing trend. The RSI is in a bullish crossover, lending further support to the positive price action. Based on current technical indicators, the stock appears poised to reach ₹ 2,050 in the near term. A long position may be initiated with a stop-loss below ₹ 1,830.

Next stage of reforms should allow lending against shares for land allocation: Report

New Delhi: The next stage of reforms in India demands a gradual withdrawal of lending restrictions to corporates for land, against shares and such, a report said on Tuesday. Real estate, in aggregate, accounts for one-third of investment activity in the country, without access to low-cost funds for most developers. "After RERA implementation, builders' consolidation, and timely and transparent data availability, etc, the underwriting risk is no longer systemic or disproportionately higher than that for any other industrial project finance,' said the report by Emkay Global Financial Services. Likewise, lending against shares is a critical need – especially as new-age companies have more intangible assets than hard physical collateral. "It is about time that we start respecting market assessment of equity value as much as the due consideration we give to replacement cost of physical assets," the report noted. "After a long time, we have in Sanjay Malhotra — current RBI Governor — an intellectual with a flair for data, and one who comes with a firm pro-growth ideology. And this is what sets him apart," the report noted. The RBI monetary policy, through its actions and communication, marks a seismic shift – aimed at nudging the potential growth rate of the economy higher. The actions taken last Friday should be viewed in the context of the current economic landscape, said the report. Historically, policy rate moves in increments of 50bps reflect economic duress. "The recent surprise cut in our opinion is a catch-up on an unusually restrictive policy in the last fiscal and resets the trajectory of economic growth higher. This action also reflects confidence in conducting the monetary policy to align with the domestic economic reality – a decoupling of monetary policy is a precursor to a decoupled economic growth," it noted. The aggressive moves on the policy front have been calibrated with a change in stance, back to 'neutral' mode. The earlier switch to an accommodative stance was done only in the prior policy meeting. While the official version is that under the present circumstances, there is limited space to lower rates further, a more practical reasoning is simply to wait out the usual 6-9 months of the transmission impact to play out, remain data-dependent, as well as firmly communicate the RBI's inflation fighting credentials – dovish actions completed with a mildly hawkish signalling, the report said.

We're not erratic or volatile, Germany reliable partner for Indian students: Ambassador Ackermann

New Delhi, Germany has been a reliable partner for Indian students for a long time, and it is not "erratic" or "volatile" but very steady, Ambassador Philipp Ackermann said here on Tuesday, while asserting that his country wants the "smartest and the brightest" from India. His comments come in the backdrop of difficulties faced by international students, including from India, on matters related to academic admissions for higher studies in some countries, and student visa procedures. Interacting with reporters at his residence here, Ackermann said over 50,000 Indian students are currently in Germany pursuing higher studies, and "our experience is that number will rise". Without naming any country, the German envoy to India also indicated that more Indian students were likely to choose Germany as an academic destination, in view of the issues faced by them currently in the context of other countries. "In the light of... with student admissions and student visa procedures in some countries, it is maybe a good time to state that Germany is eager and happy to receive Indian students," he said in his opening remarks. He mentioned multiple times that his country has been a "reliable partner" for Indian students, and even added that "we don't check social media before you come". "We feel that Germany has been a reliable partner for Indian students for a long, long time. And, will remain so. We are interested in Indian talent, we are interested in Indian brains. We are interested in those Indians who really want to achieve something, and Germany will always be a partner for such people. So, we are not erratic, we are not volatile, we are very, very steady," Ackermann said. He also underlined that Germany offers first-class education, and those are willing to study hard to achieve it, are "welcome" and can "count on us". "And, we are eager on having talented young Indians coming to Germany," the envoy added. German universities and German research institutions have made "extremely good experiences" with students, and it has been seen that the number of Indian students is increasing every year in universities, and universities of applied sciences have also accepted a growing number of Indian students, the ambassador said. "We are talking about 50,000 plus Indian students in Germany, and our experience is that number will rise. We already now feel that more Indian students.. and that is certainly in the context of difficulty they face in other countries, and that more Indian students are interested to join German universities and German research institutions," the envoy said. Representatives of various top German universities such as Cologne University, University of Gottingen, Freie Universitaet Berlin, and research institute like the Max Planck Society and Fraunhofer were also present on the occasion. Later in an interaction with PTI Videos, the envoy said academic cooperation is a key pillar in the India-German bilateral ties. "We are searching Indian talent, and this is a time where many Indian students who had ideas to go elsewhere, now have second thoughts, and don't get where they really... wanted to go. So, what I am saying is, look at Germany, if you want a first class education, in many, many areas, above all in STEM area, German universities offer a broad range of possibilities, English-taught possibilities, with the clear perspective to join labour market in Germany after that," he said. "So, we have been a reliable partner for India in the last couple of decades... but what is important for me is to say that we want the smartest, the brightest from India," Ackermann told PTI. The envoy said the "offer is on the table", there is a clear growing interest. "Also, we want to encourage every student to individually search for universities, avoiding agents who will offer you a complete package, which sometimes is not a satisfaction," he said. Katja Lasch, Director, DAAD Regional Office, New Delhi, also interacted with the reporters. DAAD German Academic Exchange Service is marking its centenary this year, while its India office was set up 65 years ago. She said "applications to universities" have increased by over 30 per cent in the last couple of months, compared to the last academic year, citing data from DAAD. Lasch said there are about 425 universities, out of which there are 305 public universities. Germany has about 400,000 international students and it offers 2,300 study programmes in English language, she added. And, the country is among the top five destinations for Indian students along with the US, Canada, the UK, Australia. Ackermann said German education system is "widely a public good", which means most universities don't charge for studies and if they charge, the state-run universities, it's a small fee, compared to fees charged by universities in Anglo-Saxon countries. "So, its merit-based not money-based approach," he added. On a query on German visa issues, the envoy said, "There is no backlog anymore . Two years ago, we had a huge backlog.. we changed our system." Asked about the new citizenship rules by the German government, the ambassador clarified that "the government has not make a U-turn on citizenship, there was a very short way to citizenship within three years, this has been blocked now. Now, it is five years".
