Don't Binge ‘The Bear' Season 4 Without Great Takeout
Anyone brave enough to binge the entire season in a single sitting might need to think this one through: Have you secured the ideal snacks for this lengthy journey? We wouldn't suggest Pizza Hut's tavern-style pizza, unless you plan on locking yourself away in a walk-in to numb the emotional pain.
Instead, allow Eater Chicago to guide you through the best takeout and delivery options to pair with the highs, lows, and in-betweens of Season 4, but don't worry; no spoilers here. For more takeout and delivery options, check out this map.
Curtis Duffy, behind Michelin-starred Ever — a fictionalized version closed on the TV show, but the real restaurant remains open — is offering a special, Bear -inspired delivery-only menu in partnership with Uber Eats. It's available 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays through Sundays, from now until Monday, July 28. The menu includes Italian beefs, chicken parm sandwiches, a Boursin omelette sandwich with potato chips, Mikey's Spaghetti, and Marcus's Honey Bun. Order via Uber Eats .
The Bear's cast and crew made frequent stops at this iconic Mexican restaurant while filming, but sadly, Birrieria Zaragoza's original location in Archer Heights is closed after a weekend fire. They've set up a GoFundMe to help with repairs. However, a second location in Uptown is open until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Don't forget to order the flan. Order via DoorDash .
Loaf Lounge remains one of Chicago's mightiest operations, truly a complete restaurant with strong sandwiches, breads, desserts, and drinks. Co-owner and pastry chef Sarah Mispagel-Lustbader was a consultant for Season 1 and created the chocolate cake for the show. The cake is available for pickup or delivery. However, you'll have to plan to order this one in advance because the kitchen takes its final orders at 3 p.m. before the cafe closes entirely at 4 p.m. What are you waiting for? Order via Toast .
Sometimes you just need a good burger, and a Happy Meal won't cut it. The Loyalist is the bar underneath the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Smyth. The menu is approachable and features one of the best burgers in town. Get a salad or fries to complement the Dirty Burg. Order via Tock .
PQM's head butcher Rob Levitt appears in Season 3 as a culinary figure leading the Chicago's hard-to-navigate dining scene. And for good reason: his crew makes some of the best sandwiches in the city. You can't go wrong there, but if you're in the mood to make your own meal, Publican Quality Meats delivers some of the best sausages and chops in town for the home cook. They also have a modest produce selection and a great selection of gourmet oils and spices. Order via PQM's website . See More:

Jimmy Kimmel's backup plan may be a move to Italy
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel revealed he has obtained Italian citizenship. In a recent conversation for 'The Sarah Silverman Podcast,' the two comedians, who dated years ago and remain friends, discussed the state of US politics and how some celebrities, including Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres, had moved abroad ahead of President Donald Trump's second term. 'A lot of people I know are thinking about where are they going to get citizenship,' Silverman said. 'I did get Italian citizenship,' Kimmel responded. 'I do have that.' 'What's going on is… as bad as you thought it was going to be, it's so much worse,' Kimmel continued. 'It's unbelievable. Like, I think it's probably even worse than he would like it to be.' Kimmel, who has been a vocal critic of Trump, said people who voted for the president should not be condemned if they have expressed subsequent regret and those on the left need to be more accepting. 'The door needs to stay open,' Kimmel said. 'If you want to change your mind, that's so hard to do. If you want to admit you were wrong, that's so hard and so rare to do, you are welcome.' 'I can't believe I voted for him three times!' Kimmel later joked. Kimmel has been on summer hiatus from hosting his nightly ABC show, but most recently was in the headlines when Trump weighed in on the cancelation of 'Late Night with Stephen Colbert.' 'I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next,' meaning to be cancelled, Trump wrote in his Truth Social post last month. Around the same time, Kimmel shared a photo from vacation in Jackson Hole, where he attended an anti-Trump protest with his family. The comedian held declaring, 'MAKE AMERICA GOOD AGAIN.' His wife, Molly McNearney, the head writer and executive producer of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' also held up a sign. It read, 'DON'T BEND THE KNEE.'

Hulu just dropped a trailer for a new movie that looks like 'The Social Network' for Tinder — and I'm swiping right already
Hulu just dropped a trailer for "Swiped," a new biopic that instantly reminded me of "The Social Network." Like Fincher and Aaron Sorkin's Oscar-winning feature about Mark Zuckerberg, "Swiped" is also based on the life of a digital entrepreneur. But forget Facebook/Meta; "Swiped" is instead inspired by the real-life story of dating industry entrepreneur, Whitney Wolfe Herd (Lily James), founder and former Bumble CEO and co-founder of Tinder. Judged by the "Swiped" trailer, this looks like a compelling look at the rise of these online dating apps, and at how Whitney Wolfe Herd rocked the dating industry twice and went on to become the youngest self-made female billionaire. Beginning with the party vibe and Tinder's meteoric rise, the trailer suddenly pivots. Amid controversy about harassment on the app (and her male colleagues attempting to brush things off), she strikes out on her own, launches Bumble, and (as Lily's version of Wolfe puts it in the trailer) sets about "starting a revolution." The trailer is glossy and sure seems to tease plenty of behind-the-scenes drama. If you like biopics or corporate dramas with a personal edge, then "Swiped" sure seems like it'll belong on your watchlist when it drops this fall. Excited? "Swiped" starts streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney Plus from Friday, September 19. Outside of the US, the movie will stream on Disney Plus, on the same day. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The movie is also due to premiere at this year's Toronto International Film Festival on Tuesday, September 9. Disney has released a synopsis for "Swiped" already. It reads: "Inspired by the provocative real-life story of the visionary founder of online dating platform Bumble, "Swiped" introduces recent college grad Whitney Wolfe, played by Lily James, as she uses extraordinary grit and ingenuity to break into the male-dominated tech industry and launch an innovative, globally lauded dating app (two, actually), paving the way to becoming the youngest female self-made billionaire." In addition to Lily James, "Swiped" also stars Jackson White, Myha'la, Ben Schnetzer, Pierson Fodé, Clea DuVall, Pedro Correa, Ian Colleti, Coral Peña, and Dan Stevens. Lily James, Jennifer Gibgot, and Andrew Panay are on board as producers. Looking for something new to watch in the meantime? Hulu's Best New Show Has A Near-Perfect Rotten Tomatoes Score
If you're looking for a new show to watch early in the week here, there's a new one that's landed on Hulu, throwing back to a storied franchise in a way that is far from a cheap cash-in. That would be Alien: Earth on Hulu, yet another Alien project and not that long after Alien: Romulus, but it's the first TV series in its history. It is also extremely good, and I've even heard it being called 'The Andor of Alien.' Certified fresh with a full 62 reviews in, Alien: Earth has a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's not only good for the current TV moment, but that means it is tied as the best-reviewed Alien project ever. That's a tie with Alien at 94%, and just above Aliens at 93%. We're talking projects that were released almost 40 years ago. Here's the list: I wrote an article similar to this about a week ago, but back then, Alien: Earth was at a 90% and in third place instead. Now, with more reviews in, the score has only gone up, which is not really what you see normally with a show like this. What's this all about anyway? Here's the synopsis, as the show takes place two years before the original 1979 film: Interestingly, the only real 'name' in the cast here is Justified's Timothy Olyphant, with the rest of the cast being lower-profile. But the name behind it all is Noah Hawley, who has done some of the wildest FX/Hulu shows to date from Legion to Fargo. Now, he's set his sights on Alien which is now reviewing better than any of them. This isn't a binge release, as that's not usually how Hulu rolls (except The Bear). It has a double episode premiere today, and the rest of the eight episodes will air through the end of September. A second season has not been greenlit yet, but if it performs well, I would expect that to happen. So far as we know, this is not planned as a limited series. This is going to be a good one. I'll have my own review in shortly. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.
