More acts announced for Depot Live at Cardiff Castle 2025

The new additions include Stone Foundation, The Florentinas, The Lilacs, and Sophie Grey.
The Florentinas will kick off the summer season at the castle, sharing the stage with Snow Patrol on Thursday, June 12.
Later, The Lilacs and Sophie Grey will perform alongside Sting on Saturday, June 28.
Stone Foundation will open for Tom Jones on his sold-out show on Wednesday, August 20, and will be back for his second show on Thursday, August 21.
Tickets are available at depotlive.co.uk and ticketmaster.co.uk.
Stone Foundation, an eight-piece band known for their blend of soul and funk, has been active for 25 years with four consecutive UK Top 40 albums.
The Florentinas, an indie rock band formed in 2019, have gained recognition for their catchy sound.
They won BBC Introducing Artist of the Year in 2023 and have supported artists like Nothing But Thieves, The Amazons, and Stereophonics.
The Lilacs, an indie-pop band, have accumulated millions of Spotify streams and have been featured on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X.
Sophie Grey, a classically trained musician, is known for her blend of live instrumentation and electronic sounds.
Headlining the sessions this year are Will Smith, Tom Jones, The Huma League, James, Fontaines DC, Elbow, Sting, The Script, Jess Glynne and UB40.
Depot Live at Cardiff Castle is presented by promoters DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor, with TK Maxx as the presenting partner.
This partnership is part of a three-year agreement covering shows across the UK.

Tom, who turns 85 today, once spoke about advice his wife gave him, and how his reaction to her death has also now informed the guidance he gives to contemporary artists too. ‌ Speaking on the BBC show Sounds of the 60s with Tony Blackburn, he said: 'When my wife knew that she had terminal cancer, I was with her for the last 10 days in hospital in the room with her. She said, 'Look I gotta leave, but you don't fall with me. I'm going down, I know, there's nothing I can do about it but don't you do that.' ‌ 'She told me, 'Don't you fall with me, you've got to keep going, you've got to get on stage. You've still got songs to sing and think of me when you do it'.' Tom lost his dear wife to cancer in 2016 Tom added that Melinda also instructed him to keep laughing when he thought about her as he considered retirement from music after she died. Article continues below He explained: 'She loved jokes and I used to make her laugh a lot so. Now, she gives me strength as when she passed away I thought I was gonna crumble. 'I almost packed it in. I didn't think I could sing anymore because you can't get too emotional sing when you sing because your voice won't come out. An up-and-coming artist said being picked to support Olly Murs at a concert in her home county is "all a bit unreal".Cally Rhodes, from Shrewsbury, is a former BBC Introducing Artist of the Year for Shropshire who describes herself as a writer of "catchy, relatable and storytelling pop music".She was chosen to perform at Ludlow Castle on 26 July and said Murs was "a wicked person to be supporting".Thinking back to her time at college when she listened to his music, she added: "If I had known back then I was going to support someone like him, I would never have believed it." Ms Rhodes, who now lives in Cardiff, said when news of her slot came through she was "having a bit of a bad day".But the booking changed her mood quickly and she said she was now writing a song which she would debut at the has already chosen her outfit for the occasion and said: "I am excited to get out on stage and wear that outfit, its going to be amazing."This summer's Live at Ludlow Castle concerts will also feature The Script, Texas and Supergrass. Former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland is to join the coaching line-up for the 2025 series of The Voice UK. She will replace country singer LeAnn Rimes, who joined the 2024 series of the ITV singing show, which will also see Sir Tom Jones and last year's winning joint coaches, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones from McFly, return this year.
