Daily Record5 days ago
Former Emmerdale star Paula Lane, who played Ella Forster, has announced she's pregnant with her third child, sharing the news in a moving social media post.
An Emmerdale actress has revealed she's expecting a bundle of joy with her other half. Paula Lane broke the exciting news to followers on social media today.

The star, who portrayed Ella Forster in the ITV soap, posted a snap of her baby scan accompanied by special cards meant for her older kids. She's already mum to two little ones with her partner.

The performer headed to Instagram this afternoon to announce the wonderful development, reports the Mirror. Tagging husband and fellow thespian Tom Shaw, she penned: "Some special news to share from us."

She continued: "Christmas just got a bit more magical. Our baby boy due December 2025."
Her upload featured an ultrasound image surrounded by greeting cards for the pair's two eldest, with one reading "best big sister," while another was marked for the "best big brother".

Paula, who previously starred as Kylie Platt in Coronation Street, chose Alison Goldfrapp's track Hey Hi Hello as her post's backing music, which has already racked up thousands of hearts.
Former colleagues flooded the comments with congratulatory messages. Several Emmerdale castmates joined the celebration, with Lisa Riley, who brings Mandy Dingle to life, commenting: "CONGRATULATIONS. HOORAY! ! ! Now I can tell everyone. So much love to you, Tom and the children. Can't wait for Christmas cuddles."
Amy Walsh, recognised for playing Tracy Metcalfe, responded: "Congratulations lovely." Her screen sibling Michelle Hardwick, who portrays Vanessa Woodfield, added: "Best news! Massive congratulations to you all! So exciting."

Danny Miller, known for his role as Aaron Dingle, warmly congratulated the couple with a simple: "Congratulations guys."
Natalie Ann Jamieson, who played Amy Wyatt before her character's departure earlier this year, shared her joy: "Congratulations. Lovely lovely news."

Paula's announcement also drew reactions from her past Coronation Street colleagues. Samia Longchambon, portraying Maria Connor, added her well-wishes in the comments: "Ah congratulations to you all Paula!".
Lucy Fallon, who was cast as Paula's on-screen niece-in-law Bethany Platt, joined in this evening with a heartfelt: "Congratulations." Georgia May Foote, remembered as Katy Armstrong, echoed the sentiment: "Congratulations."
Paula gained fame for her portrayal of Kylie on Corrie, introduced as Becky McDonald's sister (played by Katherine Kelly). Her character formed a significant bond with David Platt (Jack P.Shepherd), eventually becoming his wife.
Kylie's dramatic exit came six years after her introduction, with her 2016 departure featuring a tragic stabbing that led to her dying in David's arms on the street. More recently, Paula has been seen in Emmerdale, taking on the role of Ella last year.

Everything you need to know about fat jabs Weight loss jabs are all the rage as studies and patient stories reveal they help people shed flab at almost unbelievable rates, as well as appearing to reduce the risk of serious diseases. Wegovy – a modified version of type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic – and Mounjaro are the leading weight loss injections used in both the US and the UK. How do they work? The jabs work by suppressing your appetite, making you eat less so your body burns fat for energy instead and you lose weight. They do this my mimicking a hormone called GLP-1, which signals to the brain when the stomach is full, so the drugs are officially called GLP-1 receptor agonists. They slow down digestion and increase insulin production, lowering blood sugar, which is why they were first developed to treat type 2 diabetes in which patients' sugar levels are too high. Are there any risks? Yes – side effects are common but most are relatively mild. Around half of people taking the drug experience gut issues, including sickness, bloating, acid reflux, constipation and diarrhoea. Dr Sarah Jarvis, GP and clinical consultant at said: 'One of the more uncommon side effects is severe acute pancreatitis, which is extremely painful and happens to one in 500 people.' Other uncommon side effects include altered taste, kidney problems, allergic reactions, gallbladder problems and hypoglycemia. Evidence has so far been inconclusive about whether the injections are damaging to patients' mental health. Figures obtained by The Sun show that, up to January 2025, 85 patient deaths in the UK were suspected to be linked to the medicines Rosie revealed she was using mounjaro back in January 2023. She revealed that she was starting her weight loss transformation in a TikTok video. Rosie then shared an update this March, revealing how she had "lost more weight". After moving to Ireland, she said, "I've lost more weight. "I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight. "But it's also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don't have a chef now. It's me cooking for Clay and me." 5 Rosie has been flaunting her slender new frame this summer Credit: The Mega Agency
