Bunker man killed after head-on crash in Reynolds County

REYNOLDS COUNTY, Mo. — A 52-year-old man from Bunker, Missouri, has died after his motorcycle struck a pickup truck head-on two miles north of Ellington on Sunday, June 8.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was trying to pass multiple vehicles in a no-passing zone on northbound State Highway 21 when it crashed into a southbound 2012 Chevrolet Silverado just after 3 p.m.
West Plains police respond to shooting incident at Holiday Inn Express
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Reynolds County Coroner. The driver of the Chevrolet did not report any injuries.
This is the 15th fatality in MSHP Troop G for 2025.

60-year-old pedestrian killed in suspected DUI crash

BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit is working with the Belleville Police Department to investigate a suspected DUI crash last week that claimed the life of a pedestrian. According to a Belleville police spokesperson, the crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6, in the 1200 block of Centreville Avenue. Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Police arrived at the scene to find a 60-year-old man lying on the roadway. He'd suffered serious injuries and was unconscious. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The victim's name was not released. The driver, a 61-year-old man, remained at the scene of the crash. He was driving a 1998 Chevrolet S-10. Police said the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence but was later released from custody pending further investigation. A suspected drunk driver hit two parked cars and a house in Dayton early Saturday morning, according to a Dayton Police Department crash report. The driver was identified in the report as Laquan Riley of Dayton. No one was injured inside the house. It is unclear how fast Riley was driving at the time of the crash. Medics took Riley to Miami Valley Hospital with suspected minor injuries, according to the report. Dayton police officers note in the report that they believe Riley was driving under the influence of alcohol. An OVI test was given, but the results are currently unknown, according to the report. At the time of writing, Montgomery County Jail records show that Riley is in custody on preliminary charges of OVI, carrying a concealed weapon, using weapons while intoxicated, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
