Convenience Store Employee Charged With CBT Of Nearly RM200,000 Belonging To Cooperative
Noorazwin Zullkifli, 36, made the plea before Judge Mohamad Kamil Nizam.
She is charged as the then clerk at Koperasi Kampung LB Johnson Seremban Berhad, with committing CBT by misusing the cooperative's POS terminal device to transfer money amounting to RM199,491.79 to her personal account.
The offence was allegedly committed between Feb 2, 2023 and March 22 last year at the cooperative's office in Bandar Enstek, Nilai.
The charge, under Section 408 of the Penal Code, provides imprisonment for up to 14 years, whipping and is liable to a fine, if convicted.
She was allowed bail of RM12,000 with one surety and ordered to report to a nearby police station once a month and surrender her passport to the court.
The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Syamimi Farhana Muhammad A.Aziz, while Noorazwin, who has three children, aged between four and seven years, was represented by lawyer Ahmad Muzhaffar Abdul Razak.
The court set Sept 9 for mention.

Form Two student arrested for punching, threatening teacher
KUALA LUMPUR: A 14-year-old student has been arrested for allegedly punching and threatening a teacher at a secondary school in Kajang. Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abd Yusof said the male student was arrested yesterday following a report lodged by a 29-year-old teacher. According to the police report filed on Monday, the teacher claimed he had been punched and threatened by the student on school grounds. "Preliminary investigations showed that the incident stemmed from the student skipping his physical education class, during which he was supposed to be on the field. "The teacher reprimanded him, which led to the student becoming dissatisfied and eventually getting into a fight with the complainant. "The student then punched the teacher in the face and issued threats in the presence of several teachers and students," Naazron said in a statement yesterday. He added that the case is being investigated under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation. If convicted under Section 323, the offender may face up to one year in prison, a fine not exceeding RM2,000, or both. For Section 506, the penalty includes up to two years' imprisonment, a fine, or both. Naazron said the student has been remanded for two days and is expected to be charged in the magistrate's court today. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact Investigating Officer Inspector Mohd Amirul Abd Wahab at 013-549 5236 to assist with the investigation. "The police also advise school students to comply with school regulations and refrain from actions that could jeopardise their future."

SK Durian Hijau Headmaster Dies In Road Accident
KUANTAN, July 29 (Bernama) -- The headmaster of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Durian Hijau in Jerantut was killed today when his car skidded off the road and crashed near SK Guai in Bera. Bera police chief Supt Zulkiflee Nazir said Mohd Sabri Bakar, 59, from Temerloh, was driving a Proton Preve to his brother's house in Kampung Guai when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle at about 6.30 pm. He died at the scene. 'Members of the public pulled the victim out before the car caught fire and was 80 per cent destroyed,' he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

'How could anyone do this to Tishant'
JOHOR BARU: A sombre mood enveloped a house in Bandar Seri Alam, Masai, as the hearse carrying six-year-old A. Tishant arrived at the premises. It was just past 9.30pm when the van from the Rembau Hospital Forensic Unit rolled into the driveway, greeted by grieving family members and relatives who had begun gathering as early as 7pm. Many were still in shock over what had happened to the boy, and they politely declined requests from the media for interviews or coverage. Among those inconsolable was a woman believed to be Tishant's great-grandmother, who briefly spoke to reporters. "He was a bright boy, so loving, and spoke such good English. "I never imagined he would be treated this way, to the point that his face no longer looked the same. "I don't know how long he had been buried in the ground. I can't believe someone could bring themselves to do such a thing." The woman, who declined to be named, said Tishant's mother has been traumatised since learning of her son's death. "My granddaughter, the boy's mother, and my daughter, Tishant's grandmother, are both unwell. "Tishant's mother loved him dearly and often took pictures of him. "We can't imagine how she will cope with this. We can only pray for strength, though we too are struggling to face this." It was reported that the boy's body was found buried in an area in Rompin, Jempol, around 4.30pm yesterday, five days after he was reported missing. Police said the discovery was made following the arrest of the boy's 36-year-old father, who was detained on the same day he lodged a missing person report on July 24. The suspect has been remanded for seven days from July 25 to assist in the investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, with the post-mortem confirming that the boy had been strangled with a cable tie.
