Raith Rovers FC: Premier Sports Cup draw pits Rovers against Championship newcomers and SPFL first-timers
Wednesday's group stage draw saw Barry Robson's side picked in Group F, having been seeded in the second pot of sides for next season's tournament.
Championship new boys St Johnstone were drawn first by former Hearts midfielder Michael Stewart, before Rovers joined their sure-to-be Championship promotion rivals.
The group was rounded out by Inverness Caley Thistle of League One, Elgin City of League Two and newly minted SPFL outfit East Kilbride, who won their place in the league by beating Bonnyrigg Rose in the pyramid play-off.
Rovers, under new manager Barry Robson, will be aiming to return to the knockout stages of the tournament after last season's failure to escape the groups.
Home and away fixtures are to be decided.

Kieran Tierney at end with Brendan Rodgers Credit: Kenny Ramsay Having seen-off Viktoria Plzen in the first leg of Champions League qualifying last Tuesday, Rangers fans were expecting big things once again as Dundee travelled to Ibrox on Saturday. Instead, it was more domestic woe for the Light Blues as they needed a last gasp penalty to rescue a 1-1 draw. The Gers have taken just two points from their first two Premiership matches and already trail rivals Celtic by four points. The fans inside Ibrox on Saturday were vocal in their displeasure, resoundingly booing Martin's substitutions and also jeering at the final whistle. It's very early days, of course, but the heat is already on the boss from some sections of the support. Celtic legend Neil Lennon thinks that's 'ridiculous' so early on. Appearing on talkSPORT Breakfast with Ally McCoist, Lennon said: "It's early days. With Rangers, they've got to qualify for the Champions League so there are mitigating circumstances I always think with this time of year. "You're playing tough European games in a midweek and then having to play against a team who are really motivated, I had problems myself as a manager in those sort of spells. "And then Russell's just in the door. He's still got to put his imprint really on the way he wants to play on the team. "But the bloodlust at the minute up here is just ridiculous. "Then you've got on the other side of the city people criticising Brendan (Rodgers) or the style of play when they've made a perfect start to the season. "You've just got to be laser focused and try and block out the noise and just not listen to it. "It's ridiculous." Lennon was also referring to Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers' comments in the aftermath of the Hoops' 2-0 win over Aberdeen. Rodgers took issue with criticism of his style of football, saying: "I heard something the other day about 'we don't play good football and we haven't in the last two years.' "So I think there's a number of people that really don't like me here at Celtic. "But with me and looking at the team, I'm really happy to see how the players are, the current players that we have." Going back to Rangers, McCoist stated his belief that Rangers need to strengthen still at the back and in the striker department. But Lennon reckons things are more deep-rooted and it's the entire CULTURE of the club that Martin needs to change first and foremost. He continued: "They've still got a problem with the culutre in the dressing room. "They played great against Plzen and then find it difficult to raise their game for the bread and butter games. "That was so apparent last year when they had some great victories and then couldn't do it in the bread and butter games, particularly at home. "He needs to address that as quickly as possible and just get more consistency out of results. McCoist agreed, responding: "I think you're right. Lenny, it's a mentality thing. It's a mentality issue. "With Rangers and Celtic you can be playing in the San Siro or whever but equal importance is when you go to Fir Park or Pittodrie, it's a mental thing more than anything." Rangers face Viktoria Plzen again tomorrow night with a 3-0 advantage from the first leg. If they finish the job, they'll advance to the Champions League play-off round with a place on the league stage on the line against either Red Bull Salzburg or Club Brugge. Robins 'clinical' but not looking too far ahead
Bristol City midfielder Scott Twine says the team were "clinical" in their 4-1 win against Sheffield United but they are not thinking too far ahead after only one game in the scored twice - including a direct free-kick in the fifth minute - and provided assists in more goals during the win at Bramall Lane."It's always a little bit nerve-wracking going into the first game, the unknown, seeing if the hard work in pre-season pays off and thankfully it all did," he told BBC Radio Bristol. "We've done the basics really well and we were clinical."It's definitely a good win for us and it's fully deserved. We have self-confidence, we know as a team how good we can be but we're not thinking too far ahead at the minute."Twine scored six goals in all competitions last season after making his move from Burnley permanent and said he was not "at his best at times" during the campaign. "I'm hoping to improve that, I've worked hard in the off-season, I'm really enjoying it and hopefully that comes out on the pitch this year," he said.

Conor Coady confident Wrexham can cope with Championship spotlight
Wrexham marked their return to the level after a 43-year absence at Southampton on Saturday when a late Saints double condemned them to a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat. Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were not present on the south coast to see Wrexham suffer, perhaps waiting until West Brom's visit to the SToK Racecourse on Saturday for their first taste of Championship action. There has been inordinate external noise around Wrexham due to their celebrity owners and three successive promotions taking them from the National League to the Championship in record time, but summer addition Coady insists Phil Parkinson's squad can handle the fierce spotlight. 'We're going to cope with it,' said Coady, the 32-year-old England international who was used to Premier League football at Wolves, Everton and Leicester. 'We know what we are. We know how we're going to play and we're here to upset and disrupt a few teams in this division. 'We'll keep on trying to do that. We've shown we can play. We'll keep building, we'll keep improving. 'We have to improve, we have to get better. That's the biggest thing.' Coady, one of seven players who made their Wrexham debuts at Southampton after heavy summer investment from Reynolds and McElhenney, admits to being shocked by huge interest in the Welsh club. The 32-year-old watched the friendly against Groningen in the Netherlands last week when 'the people there for Wrexham was unbelievable' and Ollie Palmer – a star of the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary series – 'got mobbed'. Coady said: 'It's amazing to see where this club has gone. I have so much respect for what this club has done since the National League to get to this point. 'But we're at a point now where we don't just enjoy being here. We want to improve and mix ourselves with teams like this (Southampton). 'Maybe go higher, but to do that we have to make sure we're dominant at this level and get to that level as quick as we can. 'What we've got to do is take it one game at a time, but let's enjoy the ride. 'Let's not take anything away from it. Southampton were in the Premier League last season, Wrexham were in League One. 'So we're in a position now where we're fighting with these teams, showing we can play, and showing we've got an idea.' Wrexham play Championship rivals Hull at home in the first round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
