Italy's historic naval ship, Amerigo Vespucci, is making a stop in Alexandria, where it will hold a special event, titled 'Vespucci meets Egypt', on February 15th. First built in the 1930s, Amerigo Vespucci is touring around the Mediterranean, with Alexandria being the first of its many stops before sailing away on February 17th. This marks the first visit for the naval ship to Egypt in over 90 years.
The event, starting at 5:30 PM, invites guests to indulge in food and wine, enjoy a selection of classic Italian reading passages, and listen to musical performances conducted by both Egyptian and Italian sopranos, as well as maestro pianist Francis De Poli. The event will also feature a tasting of a farmer's market ice cream recently launched in Alexandria under Egypt's Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation.
The naval ship is destined to tour around 14 cities in total, with only two countries – Egypt and Albania – outside of Italy itself. Previously featured in Italy's Eurovision, the naval ship is named after Italian explorer and navigator Amerigo Vespucci, whose name was also given to the American continents.

Sherine to Conclude 20th Mawazine Festival

Yara Sameh Egyptian superstar, Sherine Abdel-Wahab will conclude this year's Mawazine Festival. Mawazine is a Moroccan international music festival that began in 2001 and is hosting its 20th edition this year. As one of the largest music festivals in the world, Mawazine attracts more than 2.5 million attendees each year. This year's Mawazine festival is scheduled to be held from June 20 to 28 in Rabat, Morocco. Sherine is set to perform at the festival's stage, Nahda, on June 28. She is set to present several of her popular and latest songs. Born on October 8, 1980, Sherine Sayed Mohamed Abdel Wahab, known professionally as simply Sherine, is a singer, actress and music judge. She was first discovered as a child by her school music teacher, who convinced her mother to take her to the Cairo Opera House to meet veteran musician Selim Sahab. Abdel-Wahab served as a choral member at the Cairo Opera House from the age of nine to twelve and was then given a chance to become a solo singer. She kept performing at the Cairo Opera House while searching for a music producer to launch her music career. At the age of 18, Abdel-Wahab was introduced to director and music producer Nasr Mahrous, who liked her voice and decided to collaborate with her via his 'Free Music' production company, where she met with superstar, Tamer Hosny, who was also a new talent-seeking opportunity. Her first recorded song was released in 2002 as a part of an album that included works of other artists. The album was released, under the title 'Free Mix3: Tamer and Sherine' and was a big hit all across the entire Middle East and North Africa. It sold more than 20 Million copies across the whole MENA, particularly because of her single 'Ah ya Leil', which boosted her fame. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan

The Yacht on the Amalfi Coast Edit (Menswear)

A menswear guide for the Amalfi Coast yacht agenda It's not often that I find myself musing about a man's sense of style. It usually takes a transformative phase in his life, like a new girlfriend, for him to finally part with the tight black t-shirts that, while peak fashion in his eyes, are objectively a disservice to the rest of society. Though this is not entirely the man's, specifically the Egyptian man's, fault. It should be entirely blamed on a high degree of fashion naivety and a deep fixation on the players of Ahly FC's wardrobes. I therefore consider it my civic duty to intervene and save Egyptian society from this entirely preventable aesthetic offense. Because somewhere deep within the sweltering heat of Cairo is a man packing for his anniversary trip with his wife on the Amalfi Coast. Meanwhile, she is booking a romantic dinner on one of the yachts lining the Marina, blissfully unaware that the tight fabric of his t-shirt intended to accentuate his recent 'cut' will massively clash with her epic new Missoni set for which she has been saving up for over the past three months. And what a tragedy that would be, for both his wife and the reputation of the Egyptian man's style on the global stage. Egypt, and stylish wives, I have your back. I will save you. What follows is the reparation needed for the irreversible damage done by Mohamed Ramadan's metallic gold bra on the Coachella stage… LOOK 1: The perfect look for surviving the Amalfi Coast—and browsing four boutiques with zero complaints alongside your wife. Because nothing says 'I've healed' like trading in tight shirts for textured knits and shorts that don't scream beach club DJ. Zara | Textured polo shirt: Eleventy | Bandana- print swim shorts in blue Golden goose | Ballstar sneaker LOOK 2: He's not overdressed, he's 'European relaxed.' He'll nod seriously during the sommelier's speech, pretend to taste hints of oak, then order whatever his wife tells him to. Homme Plisse Issey Miyake | MC JANUARY pants in Midnight Blue (N.76) Zara | BASIC WASHED BOXY FIT T-SHIRT in oyster white Pull & Bear | Short sleeve striped STWD shirt Golden Goose | Ball Star sneakers Beaulares | ALCOTT LONGSLEEVE POLO option #2 LOOK 3: He's wearing hand-embroidered Bode shorts and a pistachio linen shirt. Not because he's trying to impress, but because he 'just threw something on.' The perfectly curated casually chic look for an epic Italian early lunch on the yacht. Bode | Rosefinch shorts KAI | Pistachio Semi Colar Linen Shirt Maison Margiela | Replica sneakers in coffee brown LOOK 4: A masterclass in modern nonchalance; relaxed, refined, and refusing to overdo it. Egypt's Tourism Minister Inspects Pilgrims' Camps in Saudi Arabia

Israa Farhan, Ali Abu Dashish In a proactive move to support Egyptian pilgrims, Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, conducted a field visit today to the camps of Egyptian tourism pilgrims in Arafat, Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the visit was to ensure that all pilgrims are receiving the full range of services and enjoying the highest levels of comfort during their Hajj journey. During the visit, Minister Fathy inspected facilities and met with pilgrims to personally verify that services aligned with expectations set by the ministry and travel agencies. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of care, particularly in light of extreme temperatures across the holy sites this year. Following the on-site inspection, the minister held a remote video meeting via Google Meet with members of the official tourism Hajj delegation. This digital monitoring approach is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to integrate modern technology into the management of the Hajj season. It allows for real-time, live supervision by all committee members, ensuring swift response to issues and continuous service delivery. The remote system facilitates direct oversight of the daily operations conducted by the 13 field committees formed as part of the official tourism mission. These teams are deployed across camps housing more than 40,672 Egyptian pilgrims to check on their well-being and ensure full compliance by tourism companies with agreed Hajj programs. Minister Fathy praised the efforts of the mission teams, particularly their dedication to staying active throughout the day in challenging weather conditions. He urged all teams to continue intensive on-site presence and remain alert to any emergencies or complaints. The goal, he stressed, is to offer a safe, seamless, and exemplary Hajj experience that reflects the strength and reliability of Egypt's tourism Hajj system. Samia Sami, a senior official at the ministry, confirmed that a central operations room has also been established in both Arafat and Mina to supervise the delivery of services by tourism agencies and to monitor the performance of rituals in an organized and timely manner. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan
