However, guests could be secretly judging your outdoor space, Jack Stooks, who worked at the Highgrove Estate for over 20 years, revealed.
Grass Chairs or Sofas
Chairs made from mounds of soil that have been turfed over were a trend a few years ago, but according to Jack, are guaranteed to make guests cringe.
"You had these turf-like seats in the garden, which might sound like a great idea", he told Fabulous, on behalf of Fruity King.
"I think you even used to be able to buy the innards made out of cardboard that you'd fill with soil and then you'd plant grass seed over - they're a bit cringey.
"They don't ever really do that well. You can never really sit in them and people don't tend to anyway because the grass is always either wet or it's too dry and then it just becomes sort of like a muddy patch."
Pampas Grass
Pampas grass was a huge trend in the '70s, but Jack said that if you still have it in your garden, it's bound to make guests cringe.
"I consider it massively cringey whenever you see them in a garden," he said.

"A friend of mine recently moved house and as soon as I walked into the garden, it was the first thing I noticed."
Plus, thanks to the urban myth that if you have Pampas grass in your garden you're a swinger, this might be a trend to avoid.
Gardens Full of Gnomes
Having gnomes in your garden may add a touch of whimsical charm to your outdoor space, but Jack revealed that having too many of them is a huge no no.
"I'm not saying don't have them," he said.

"But maybe just stick to having one or two gnomes.
"You shouldn't have like 20 gnomes around a fishing pond or playing sports on the lawn, that's what I would consider as very cringe."
Themed Gardens
You may be tempted to fashion your garden into a shrine to your favourite film or book, but according to Jack, this is bound to make your guests cringe.

"For example, when people go off to Disney, and then come back and think that their garden should be Disneyland-themed and try to re-create this in their garden.
"Or they go to see a movie, like Titanic, and they might try and create this in their garden.
"It just reminds me of a crazy golf course - but in a garden!
"Just stick to a classic garden, as nothing beats those in my opinion."

Love Island's Olivia Hawkins casts doubt on finalists' future outside the villa
EXCLUSIVE: Love Island winter 2023 bombshell Olivia Hawkins has given her verdict on the show's summer 2023 season, admitting she's 'been on the edge of her seat' Former Love Island bombshell Olivia Hawkins, who made her mark on the winter 2023 series, has given her verdict on this year's whirlwind of a season – and she's not holding back. Olivia didn't mince her words when asked about the current finalists, saying: 'I think it's been one of the most dramatic Love Island seasons I've ever watched. I've been on the edge of my seat, that's for sure, but I've thoroughly enjoyed it." "It's just a shame that there's no couple in the final that I think will last on the outside.' It comes after David Beckham ditches his iconic tiny trunks on yacht trip with Gordon Ramsay's family. READ MORE: Love Island's Tommy and Ben admit to kissing same girl at event as identity rumbled Reacting to the previous night's dumping, Olivia, speaking exclusively in association with Mecca Bingo, Olivia reflected on a summer packed with shocks, twists, and a finale that left fans split and admitted she felt conflicted by the outcome. 'Yes and no, I was very split. I agreed with some of their decisions, but I disagreed with some of the reasoning. I don't know how the only boyfriend and girlfriend couple could be in that position; they're just going to have to prove everyone wrong on the outside. I hope they do.' Olivia also defended Megan and Dejon, whose relationship has sparked fierce debate online. 'It was really 50/50. The people who spent the most time with Megan and Dejon obviously saw their connection. And yeah, they argue, but don't all couples? Just because the other couples aren't arguing doesn't mean they're compatible.' After returning for All Stars earlier this year, Olivia has firmly ruled out another appearance. 'It's a big no. I feel like I've done dating shows now and want to move on to the next thing. But I'll definitely still tune in.' All Stars has been confirmed to return to ITV2 and ITVX for a third series in 2026. The news comes hot on the heels of the finale of the 12th series, which was dubbed 'TV gold' by fans who hailed it 'iconic' with its summer of jaw-dropping twists and turns. Her love life is also heading in a new direction. 'It's good. I've got Celebs Go Dating coming out a week today, so people will get an update on how it's going. I can't give too much away, but I'm in a very happy place.' When it comes to keeping the show fresh, Olivia believes it's time for some tweaks. 'I liked that there were a lot of bombshells this season; it kept people guessing, but I think the format needs some changes. Maybe they could take inspiration from the USA version.' And there's one challenge in particular she's keen to bring back. 'More challenges would help. I miss the Twitter challenge, even though I hate Twitter. It's so toxic, but I loved that challenge. Bringing it back might not be great for Islanders' mental health, though.' Tonight, viewers will see either Toni and Cach, Yasmin and Jamie, Shakira and Harry or Ty and Angel take home the crown as the 12th series concludes.

Repair Shop host Jay Blades charged with two counts of rape and faces court next week a year after quitting hit BBC show

Police confirmed the allegations against the 55-year-old dad of three from Shropshire. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 4 Jay Blades has been charged with two counts of rape Credit: BBC 4 Police confirmed the rape allegations against the 55-year-old Repair Shop star and father of three Credit: BBC Blades fronted the hit BBC show for seven years before stepping back last year. King Charles appeared alongside him on a special episode in 2022. West Mercia Police confirmed charges against the dad of three, with a magistrates' court date set for next Wednesday. A spokesperson said: 'Jason Blades, 55, of Claverley in Shropshire, has been charged with two counts of rape. "He is due to appear at Telford magistrates' court on 13 August 2025.' Blades was awarded an MBE in 2022 for services to craft while King Charles appeared on the Repair Shop the same year. The TV star is currently awaiting trial on a separate charge of controlling and coercive behaviour against estranged wife Lisa-Marie Zbozen, which he has denied. Blades was arrested in May 2024 - on the same day fitness instructor Lisa announced her decision to end their 18-month marriage. In September Blades was charged. His actions allegedly caused Lisa 'to fear, on at least two occasions, that violence will be used against her'. The presenter pleaded not guilty to the charge — which relates to the period between January 1, 2023 and September 12, 2024 — at a court hearing last October. He is due to attend Worcester crown court today for a pre-trial review regarding the charge. Blades, who married Lisa in an intimate ceremony in Barbados in November 2022, took a break from filming following his arrest. Sources said the decision was also linked to the death of his uncle Richard Braithwaite, 72, in North London in March. A neighbour has been charged with murder. Blades was also dropped from The Repair Shop's live show, Secrets From The Barn, and quietly removed from promotional material. His Repair Shop co-star, horologist Steve Fletcher, revealed in March he had visited Blades while on a break from the live tour. Steve shared a photograph of himself with Blades on Instagram with the caption: 'In a break from our 'Secrets From the Barn' Tour, I popped in to see Jay the other day for a cup of tea and a lovely chat. 'It was great to catch up. Hope to see him again soon.' The BBC later replaced Blades with Roman Kemp for the Christmas special of the popular series. Blades also resigned as chancellor of Buckinghamshire New University 'with immediate effect' following the initial charge. It said: 'We thank Jay for his loyal service to the university and will be making no further comment.' As well as fronting The Repair Shop since 2017, Blades also hosted BBC shows including Money For Nothing and Jay Blades' Home Fix. He also appeared as a contestant on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special and fronted a special BBC documentary, Jay Blades: Learning to Read at 51. 4 King Charles appeared alongside Blades on a special episode in 2022 Credit: BBC/Ricochet/Ian West
