Amazon Prime Video fans have one demand after bingeing 'adrenaline-filled' show
Motorheads is a ten-episode teen petrolhead drama that mixes The Fast and the Furious with The Summer I Turned Pretty, to land a respectful 75 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Set in the hard knocked Pennsylvania rustbelt, the drama follows a set of car builders and racers in high-octane scenes, scored to a presumably pricey soundtrack (Olivia Rodrigo, flipper extraordinaire Benson Boone).
Motorheads stars teen drama icon Ryan Phillippe, of Cruel Intentions infamy, playing a former Nascar mechanic turned struggling auto body shop owner.
He's joined by Nathalie Kelley, Never Have I Ever's Michael Cimino and Melissa Collazo to make an ensemble cast of grease monkeys.
'Motorheads is about first love, first heartbreak, and turning the key in your first car,' reads the official show synopsis from Prime Video.
'Set in a once-thriving rust-belt town that's now searching for a glimmer of hope, the series is an adrenaline-filled story of a group of outsiders who form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of street racing, while navigating the hierarchy and rules of high school.'
Given that all ten episodes are already available to binge through on the streaming platform, many fans have already finished the whole thing and taken to X (formerly Twitter) to demand a follow-up season.
One viewer even went so far as to threaten cancelling her Prime subscription entirely if the show isn't renewed for season two.

Next Bond movie will be written by Oscar nominated filmmaker behind iconic TV show
THE brains behind smash hit show Peaky Blinders has been signed up to write the next James Bond film – and he is promising to make it 'better, stronger and bolder'. Diehard fans of the suave spy had feared Bond would lose its identity after Amazon bought the franchise for $1billion in February. 2 2 But with 65-year-old Brummie Steven Knight at the helm, 007 expert Matthew Field says it is proof its British heritage will be preserved. He told The Sun: 'Amazon could easily have hired an A-list US writer but they chose Knight, a truly great British writer, who understands Bond's importance. 'He has a solid pedigree in film and TV that spans more than 25 years so it will be really exciting to see his world of Bond for a whole new generation of fans.' It is a job that Steven, who also wrote SAS: Rogue Heroes and co-created Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, says was always on his bucket list. Mega signing The youngest of seven children, he was raised by dad George, a blacksmith, and mum Ida, a bookie's runner. He has spoken about how gangster series Peaky Blinders, set in 1920s Small Heath, near Solihull in his home city, was inspired by tales of his dad's gangster uncles and his mum's work. The BBC drama ran for six series from 2013 to 2022, helping to attract record numbers of tourists to England's second city. The final outing became the BBC iPlayer's most streamed series of the year and the show is credited with seeing a resurgence in popularity for the names Arthur and Aida. Soldiers in Ukraine have even adopted the name Peaky Blinders for one of their military units. Married dad-of-seven Steven is a mega signing for Bond alongside Dune director Denis Villeneuve and producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal, known for the Harry Potter and Spider-Man films respectively. Brit acting legend admits he wants to play James Bond saying 'the world's gone crazy' if Amazon casts a US star for 007 Matthew says: 'It's a great collection of creative minds reinventing Bond. It's in really safe hands.' Before screenwriting, Steven trained as a blacksmith but admitted: 'I was useless at it.' After studying English at university, he wrote radio commercials, jingles and promotional game concepts for Capital FM under then-breakfast host Chris Tarrant in the Nineties. One game he developed was Cash Mountain, where players would be able to win an unlimited amount of money answering infinite, increasingly impossible questions until they got one wrong. However, he said: 'No one would insure that just in case, so we had to think of a limit, so we thought, well, a million, why not?' That concept became Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, which peaked at 19.2million viewers per episode and was adapted for around 100 countries. The success of the game show freed Steven to write what he wanted. When the 2022 Commonwealth Games came to Birmingham, he was an obvious choice to co-direct the opening ceremony. The industrial revolution-inspired show featured Sir Lenny Henry, UB40, Duran Duran, Ozzy Osbourne and a 33ft mechanical bull. Two years earlier, he received a CBE for services to drama and the community in Birmingham. He said he planned to celebrate 'Tommy Shelby-style' in reference to the main Peaky Blinders character and his love of whisky and cigarettes. Now the creative force behind Bond, he told BBC Radio 5 Live: 'I'm hoping that, being a Bond fan for so many years, it'll be imbued into me and I'll be able to produce something that's the same but different, and better, stronger and bolder.'

'Gruesomely romantic horror movie' lands huge 90% Rotten Tomatoes score
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A new body horror movie has landed a 90% Rotten Tomatoes score after being branded 'a giddy grotesquerie' by impressed critics. Together, starring real-life couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie, landed in US cinemas this week, ahead of a UK premiere on August 15. Michael Shanks' scare-fest follows lovebirds Tim and Millie who move out to the country, where they have a bizarre, supernatural encounter. However, things take a creepy turn when their flesh begins fusing to each other, bringing them much closer than they ever anticipated. Although the flick hasn't been out long, it has gone down very well with film buffs, and currently claims a near-perfect score from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to a 79% mark from fans. Heaping praise on the film, Movie Brief's Michael Nordine raved: 'One of the more gruesomely romantic horror movies ever made.' 'A giddy grotesquerie that has midnight-movie crowd-pleaser written all over it,' Nick Schager of the Daily Beast agreed. Owen Gleiberman, for Variety, penned: 'It's fun (in a rather bumptious way), it stars two very good actors playing a couple who have as many issues as couples do in real life, and it works as a totally unhinged yet far from mindless thriller built around a Big Idea.' Deadline Hollywood Daily's Glenn Garner hailed: 'Although Alison Brie and husband Dave Franco have shared the screen in the past, they truly sink into each other with some skin-crawling, albeit heartfelt and hilarious performances in writer-director Michael Shanks' feature debut Together.' As the Guardian's Benjamin Lee added: 'A convincingly gory argument for being single.' 'Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Dave Franco and Alison Brie) find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other,' the official synopsis reads. 'With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.' More Trending Filmmaker Michael previously opened up about the unsettling plot in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, admitting that it was inspired by his own relationship. 'I think when anyone is in a long-term relationship, there comes a point where you realize you have the same friends, eat the same food, breathe the same air – you start to wonder if you can truly tell where you end and your partner begins,' he told the outlet. 'I thought that was a really compelling place to start to examine in a relationship – what if you took that old cliche of sharing a life and took it to somewhere visceral, and horrifically literal?' Together is in US cinemas now, ahead of a UK release on August 15. Got a story? Stevie Nicks cancels tour dates just days before first gig due to injury
Stevie Nicks has been forced to postpone a series of upcoming tour dates after sustaining a shoulder fracture that requires time to heal. The 76-year-old music icon took to Instagram to share the news directly with fans, confirming that concerts scheduled for August and September will be rescheduled. 'Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks' scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled,' she wrote. 'Please note that October dates will be unaffected.' The Fleetwood Mac legend added that the tour is expected to resume on Wednesday, October 1 in Portland, Oregon. 'Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience,' the message concluded. Fans who have already purchased tickets are advised to retain them, as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows. Specific details about new dates and venues will be made available at the original point of purchase. Nicks had initially announced a nine-date tour across the US and Canada back in April, with performances slated for August and October. Due to overwhelming demand, additional shows were later added, including a launch night at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on August 8, as well as stops in Hollywood, Florida and Detroit in September. October was set to bring her to cities including Portland, Sacramento, Atlantic City, Charlotte, and Hartford. The news comes after Nicks postponed her Glasgow gig at short notice after having minor surgery for a leg injury. The Dreams singer was due to appear at the OVO Hydro earlier this month but organisers said she needs a 'few days of recovery' following a medical procedure. Even more recently, Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham officially confirmed the re-release of their 1973 duo album Buckingham Nicks. The famously acrimonious former bandmates caused fans to 'crash out' with a matching pair of social media posts in June, and then the appearance of a mysterious billboard a few days later. More Trending Many took to social media to speculate that the pair might finally be on speaking terms again after famously feuding for decades. Then, they informed the world that a re-release of Buckingham Nicks – which they recorded before joining Fleetwood Mac – will be available September 19. For now, fans will need to wait just a little longer to see the mystical frontwoman return to the stage. The silver lining? Nicks plans to be back on the road this autumn. Got a story?
