Arizona Cardinals add former Chicago Bears CB Jaylon Jones The Cardinals are adding some cornerback depth and competition, bringing in Jaylon Jones, who was Kyler Murray's teammate in high school.
The Arizona Cardinals have not finished doing work in free agency. They have reportedly added more help to the defense. According to Aaron Wilson, the Cardinals have added former Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Jones.
It was not reported how long the contract is that they agreed to, but at this point, it is likely a one-year, near-minimum deal with not much guaranteed. He was a restricted free agent who went untendered by the Bears.
Jones is an Allen, Texas native and was high school teammates with Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. He played collegiately at Mississippi and went undrafted. He spent the last three seasons with Chicago, where he appeared in 41 games, starting five. He played mostly on special teams.
He has 85 total career tackles, four pass breakups and a forced fumble.
Last season, he appeared in only eight games, landing on injured reserve in November. He logged 140 special teams snaps and 76 on defense.
He has seen his defensive playing time decrease every year. As a rookie, he started four games and played 464 defensive snaps to go with 153 on special teams. In 2023, he saw his defensive playing time drop to 148 and his special teams work increase to a career-high 335 before his play last season.
He is 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds. He has played almost exclusively on the boundary in his career.
He will likely compete for a spot on the back of the roster with guys like Kei'Trel Clark, Darren Hall and Elijah Jones.

WATCH: Bears putting in the work in new offseason highlights
The Chicago Bears wrapped the offseason program last week with their final set of OTAs for rookies and younger players, which featured quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Rome Odunze. With new head coach Ben Johnson calling the shots, the Bears experienced an intense offseason program with clear standards and expectations. During the offseason, we heard of Johnson stopping a play and making the offense run it from the beginning if someone wasn't lining up correctly or if they weren't breaking the huddle in a timely manner. It's the kind of accountability the team has been missing and wanting. Advertisement With OTAs and minicamp in the books, the Bears' social media team shared some highlights from the offseason program, including Williams spreading the ball around to his array of weapons, including Odunze, DJ Moore and Cole Kmet, as well as some defenders making plays. The Bears will have roughly six weeks off before they return to Halas Hall next month (date to be announced) for training camp, which unofficially kicks off the 2025 season as the real work begins (and the pads come on). This will serve as Johnson's first training camp as head coach, but the expectation is he's going to approach it like the offseason program, which means continuing with the intensity and accountability that was on display during OTAs and minicamp. Wedding Card Sparks Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift Marriage Rumors
Wedding Card Sparks Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift Marriage Rumors originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Travis Kelce skipped Kansas City Chiefs' OTAs this week in part because he was attending a wedding with Taylor Swift. Now some are speculating - thanks to a different wedding's seating arrangements - if Kelce has already gotten secretly married to his pop music icon girlfriend. Chicago Bears' tight end Cole Kmet's event planner, Ellie Nottoli, shared details on last weekend's wedding to Emily Jarosz. The "news" was that Kelce and Swift were on the guest list. The planner revealed the 'personalized touches' at the ceremony, including a letter that was addressed to 'Taylor and Travis Kelce' in elegantly calligraphy, with a 'Table 13' assignment. 'We all know Taylor and Travis were at a different wedding in Tennessee,' Nottoli said in an Instagram Story video on Monday. 'But each guest had an envelope that was adhered to a beautiful backdrop, and Emily wrote love notes to all of her guests.' Chiefs fans and Swifties alike went abuzz about seeing "Taylor Kelce" - if even only on a wedding table placement. 'TAYLOR AND TRAVIS KELCE?!????? EXCUSE ME,' one commentor said in reaction to Nottoli's photo. Joked another, "Technically it should be Travis and Taylor Kelce.' As it turns out, Kelce and Swift didn't even attend Kmet's wedding, instead going to Kelce's cousin's ceremony in Tennessee last Friday. Aaron Rodgers showed up at Pittsburgh Steelers' minicamp Tuesday wearing a rubber wedding ring and announced he got married recently. Might Kelce do the same when he returns to Chiefs' OTAs? The sentiment with Kelce and Swift's engagement doesn't seem to be if, but only when. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 13, 2025, where it first appeared.

Reggie Bush's 83-yard punt return TD is the Saints Play of the Day
Reggie Bush's 83-yard punt return TD is the Saints Play of the Day Bush put a dagger in the Cardinals to seal a critical win before Super Bowl XLIV There are 83 days remaining in our countdown to the New Orleans Saints' 2025 season opener with the Arizona Cardinals, which makes this 83-yard punt return touchdown from Reggie Bush (against the Cardinals) our pick for the Saints Play of the Day. Bush put a dagger in the Saints' 2009 playoff game with Arizona midway through the third quarter, which you can see here. New Orleans had already built a big 38-14 lead, helped by a 46-yard touchdown run from Bush earlier in the game. But the threat of a Cardinals comeback was all too real. Kurt Warner had just outdueled a young Aaron Rodgers one week earlier in a 51-45 overtime win, and he had led Arizona to the Super Bowl the year before. This game wasn't over until Bush took that punt back 83 yards to extend the Saints' lead to 45-14, leading to a quiet fourth quarter on the way to Super Bowl XLIV. This was an important win for New Orleans. The Saints were facing some criticism for losing their last three regular season games before the playoffs, despite having locked up the NFC's first seed after winning their first 13 games. Arizona was a hot pick to unseat them. Those doubts evaporated quickly after the Saints brought the hammer down on the Cardinals. Well, if not a hammer, then a baseball bat like the one Bush famously carried out of the tunnel before the game.
