Avinash's cousin, Aviraj, allegedly played a key role in Pawan's murder.While 15 members of Hiranwar gang are already behind bars, the gang's arms supplier Shaheed Shaikh is still absconding. It was Shaheed who procured the firearms for the gang from Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.

JAGATSINGHPUR: Tirtol police arrested three persons after tension flared up in Ibrisingh village over alleged cow slaughter near the local Jagannath temple on Saturday. The arrested persons are Mojamal Khan, Alam Sha and Murshid Alam. The trio was arrested under sections 296 and 351 ( 2) of BNS and the Orissa Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act 1980. Sources said a group of people from the minority community reportedly slaughtered cows near the Jagannath temple at Badamath in Ibrisingh village. The situation escalated when villagers staged road blockade demanding action on the matter. On being informed, police rushed to the spot and held discussion with the agitating villagers. IIC of Tirtol police station Pradipta Sethi said the road blockade was lifted after police arrested the accused trio. The arrests were made on basis of the complaint filed by one Bajrang Dal activist Sanjay Mallick. The accused were produced in court on Sunday.

AGRA: A gang of 10 women who allegedly stole valuables from devotees at temples in Mathura was arrested after a judge's mangalsutra was snatched at the Thakur Shri Radharaman temple in Vrindavan on June 1, police said on Sunday. The 2-tola gold mangalsutra was recovered during the arrests across temple precincts. Justice Prema Sahu, an additional district and sessions judge from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, lodged a police complaint on June 5 saying her mangalsutra had been snatched while visiting Vrindavan with her family. A case was filed under BNS section 303(2) (petty theft). Mathura police launched a campaign and arrested the women on Saturday. SSP Shlok Kumar said, "We launched a campaign to identify and apprehend women thieves and pickpockets active in the temples, leading to the arrest of 10 women. We recovered the stolen mangalsutra and several purses containing cash, Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, debit cards, driving licences and other important documents, along with Rs 18,000 in cash. " During interrogation, the accused allegedly admitted they were from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and operated in crowded temples in Vrindavan and Mathura, targeting phones, purses and jewellery. All legal formalities were completed and the 10 women were sent to jail. They have also been charged under BNS section 317(5) (possessing or facilitating concealment of the stolen items).

Seven arrested for allegedly slaughtering bull calf on Bakrid in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: Seven men from the minority community were arrested on Sunday for allegedly sacrificing a bull calf on Bakrid near a hillock in Ambadochar village under Chainpur police station area in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone. Multiple packets containing 32 kgs of meat have been seized along with the sharp-edged weapons used to slaughter the calf. While confirming the incident, sub divisional officer police (SDOP-Bhikhangaon) Rakesh Arya said that the seven arrested accused have been booked under Sections of the Arms Act, BNS and MP Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act. The samples of the seized meat have been sent for laboratory testing, Arya said. All seven accused were produced in court and sent into judicial custody. As per the FIR, the accused had bought the calf two months back for sacrificing it on Bakrid, and as planned, it was sacrificed. Angered by the incident, activists of Hindu outfits have called for a bandh in Chainpur (Jhirniya) town of Khargone district on Monday.
