Teddi Mellencamp's Sister Justice Calls Her 'The Strongest Person' In Update After Brain Tumor Surgery
Teddi Mellencamp's sister, Justice Mellencamp, has provided an update on her well-being after she underwent brain tumor surgery.
Justice's update came after Teddi's estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, updated fans following her surgery, revealing that it went well.
Teddi shared devastating news about her health last Wednesday, revealing doctors found multiple tumors on her brain, which required surgery.
Justice took to her Instagram Story to post a heart-wrenching update about her sister's surgery.
She shared a black-and-white photo of her watching Teddi as she slept on her hospital bed. In the post's caption, Justice described her sister as the "strongest person" she knew.
The 40-year-old wrote, "Watching a loved one suffer is horrific. I've tried to get back to everyone who has reached out & I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready."
Justice added, "She is by far the strongest person I know. So many emotions as I travel home today but her village is the best one I've ever seen and I'm grateful for them! Your prayers are everything. Thank you."
Justice's update came a few days after Teddi's estranged husband Arroyave eased fans' worries by revealing her surgery "went well."
Arroyave posted a brief but positive message on Instagram Stories in response to several concerned fans' inquiries about his estranged wife's well-being.
He wrote, "So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well."
However, Arroyave shared that he had never seen Teddi "in so much pain." He added, "She's finally getting some needed rest," before concluding, "I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love."
Teddi filed for divorce from Arroyave in November 2024, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. The estranged couple shares three children: daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10.
On February 12, Teddi revealed she would undergo an operation to remove tumors found on her brain.
In a post on her Instagram page, "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills" alum, who has always been open about her health struggles, wrote, "For the last several weeks I've been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches."
She added, "Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months."
The 43-year-old shared that two of the surgeries would be surgically removed on that Wednesday while "the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date."
The television personality also wrote, "I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health."
She concluded, "Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey."
Hours after announcing she would undergo surgery, Teddi Mellencamp shared more updates on her Instagram Story.
In one post, she shared a video of her friend shaving off her hair and wrote, "I'm gonna have this look on my bucket list."
She added, "My best look. I hate to break it to my brother but once I'm allowed to wash my hair and it's not all spiky, I think I've taken you for a run for your money, Hud."
Teddi concluded, "I'll see you tomorrow and we'll see who wore it best."
The mother of three shared another Instagram Story update revealing that her friend Kyle Richards was with her as she prepared for surgery.
Others who were present included Arroyave and country musician Morgan Wade.
Teddi Mellencamp has been open about her skin cancer journey, using social media to raise awareness.
After her 2022 melanoma diagnosis, she underwent multiple surgeries. Despite early-stage treatment, she was later diagnosed with stage II melanoma and required further procedures.
In 2023, new spots prompted biopsies, and she partnered with the Melanoma Research Foundation to advocate for awareness.
While setbacks like failed immunotherapy led to more surgeries, Mellencamp remained determined.
Her story emphasizes the importance of early detection, health advocacy, and resilience, inspiring others to take proactive action regarding their well-being.

Dawn French says sorry for posting 'one-sided' Gaza video
Dawn French has taken down a video she posted on Instagram about the war in Gaza, saying she apologised "unreservedly" for it. The video sparked a backlash, with critics accusing the actress and comedian of appearing to "mock" the 7 October 2023 attack. On Saturday, French acknowledged on Instagram that the video "appeared one-sided", and said she never meant to "mock, or dismiss, or diminish the horror" of that day. "I hope you will understand my intention was not to offend, but I clearly have. For which I am sorry and I have removed the video," she added. In the 40-second video, posted earlier this week, the Vicar of Dibley star shared her views on the ongoing war, saying: "Complicated, no, but nuanced. But [the] bottom line is no." Switching into a high-pitched voice, she went on to say: "Yeah, but you know they did a bad thing to us, yeah but no. But we want that land... and we have history… No. Those people aren't really even people, are they really? No." On social media, people were quick to criticise her, with actress Tracy-Ann Oberman saying she was "so saddened" by the post. "This mocking voice 'bad thing' of October 7 that Dawn (who I revere by the way) appears [to] be mocking involved the most horrific terrorist attack involving rape, sexual violence, burning alive, child mutilation and taking of civilian hostages," she wrote. "Why would Dawn seem to deny that which has affected so many of us personally in the most painful way possible." MP Rosie Duffield commented on Oberman's post, writing: "One can, and should hate what is happening in Gaza and also condemn the hideous events of October 7th. "It is agonising to see events unfold, and requires extremely careful, measured and well-considered comments and actions. This is not that." Meanwhile, screenwriter and activist Lee Kern called her video "sneering mockery". Responding to the backlash, French said that she had posted a video in the style that she has been using for social media "in an effort to convey an important point". She added that she had "clumsily used a mocking tone". "My intention was NEVER to mock, or dismiss, or diminish the horror of what happened on 7 October 2023 and what continues to unfold from that brutal unthinkable, unforgiveable, savage attack," she said. She said her intention had been "to mock and point the finger of shame at the behaviour of the cruel leaders on all sides of this atrocious war". "THEY were my target, but clearly I failed to do that, and that's on me. I apologise unreservedly, and I'm particularly sorry that my disgust at Hamas didn't figure. It appeared one-sided and that is wrong." Israel launched a military campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas-led cross-border attack almost 20 months ago, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage. Some 54 of those captured during the attack remain in captivity, including 31 the Israeli military says are dead. At least 54,607 people have been killed in Gaza since then, including 4,335 since Israel resumed its offensive on 18 March, according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry.

Caitlin Clark's Seven-Word Admission Grabs Attention
Caitlin Clark's Seven-Word Admission Grabs Attention originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever have a big game coming up on Saturday as they take on arguably their biggest rival in the WNBA, the Chicago Sky. Advertisement The only downside of this highly anticipated matchup is the fact that the Fever will be without superstar point guard Caitlin Clark, who will miss her fourth straight game due to a quad injury. On Friday, the Fever put up an Instagram post about Clark that included some basic information and interesting facts about the 23-year-old. The intention of the post was for the fans to get to know the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year on a more personal level. For some reason, though, the Fever decided to keep one particular field blank. The team did not list anything under Clark's "Fun Facts," which drew a hilarious admission from the former Iowa star. "Not a fun fact type of gal," she wrote in the comments section. Clark's statement quickly drew the attention of fans as they expressed their reaction to the Fever star's admission. Advertisement "ok cc 😞" a comment read. "false!" said another. "you play too much stop the cap," a user wrote. "OMG forgot that's the one thing I don't like about CC," another said. "how can you not juggle?!" asked a fan, referring to Clark revealing that this is the one skill she'd like to learn. Clark clearly doesn't take herself too seriously, and she obviously likes to have her fun on social media. There's no denying, however, that she's all business when she's on the basketball court. The good news is that the fans could see her serious side again very soon, with Clark potentially returning in Indiana's next game on Tuesday against the Atlanta Dream.
