Sitaare Zameen Par Twitter review: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's spiritual sequel to his hit film Taare Zameen Par is now out for the audience. The film has adopted new strategies for its theatrical release. As we wait to see what works for the film, audiences have begun pouring their reviews on social media after watching Sitaare Zameen Par.
Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna. It is backed by Aamir Khan under his banner.
The film marks his return to film after his last release Laal Singh Chaddha.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, a user called it a 'well-intentioned film.' The person wrote, '#SitaareZameenPar is a sweet, uplifting and well-intentioned film, with tears and chuckles galore. It makes for incredible family viewing and leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling at the end.'
Giving it 3 stars, another user added, 'What a beautiful movie! Sitaare Zameen Par shines with heartfelt storytelling and stellar acting. The performances, especially by the child actors, are deeply moving and genuine. Some missing in emotions but recommend.'
But is it better than Taare Zameen Par? Another user shared, 'A feel good heart wrenching melodrama that works well in second half #AamirKhan𓃵 and #GeneliaDeshmukh are true to their roles. For me Sitaare Zameen Par > Taare Zameen Par (sic).'
Meanwhile, the film is set to premiere with more than ₹ 6 crore business on day 1, as per its advance booking report of Sacnilk.
The film had no shows before 9 am, unlike traditional norms. It is being screened in over 9,000 shows across India.
Talking about the film's expected business at the ticket window, previously the Mumbai-based exhibitor and distributor Rajesh Thadani said that word-of-mouth will determine good box office results for Aamir's film over the weekend.
'Since it's Aamir Khan and the subject is different, there are hopes that it will do well. I've great hope for the film, it should do anywhere between Rs. 10 to 15 crore. If the word-of-mouth is good, then box office collection should improve, and it should touch Rs. 50 crores in three days. The film is emotional and it will cater to family audiences, children and specially-abled children,' Thadani told PTI.
Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia D'Souza, along with ten neurodivergent actors.

Salman Khan's bodyguard pushes Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan aside during Sitaare Zameen Par screening, actor tells security to…

All the stars had literally descended to the ground during the special screening of Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par. Aamir himself arrived with his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, and younger son, Azad, to the screening, as his daughter, Ira Khan, and elder son, Junaid, also joined the party later. In a case of mistaken identity, though, Salman Khan's security detail failed to recognise Junaid and tried to guide him away from the star as they made their way through the venue. They presumably mistook him for a fan or member of the media in all the chaos and didn't realise that he was just trying to escort Salman to the theatre. In a video that surfaced online, Junaid can be seen walking alongside Salman as he attempts to guide him through the crowd. One of the members from Salman's security team came in the middle of Junaid and the star and tried to wiggle his way in between. A post shared by Mohd Adnan (@mohdxadnan) Junaid can be seen trying to explain to the man, who is too busy trying to do his job, but after a few moments it seems that he realised his mistake, as Junaid took back his place alongside Salman. Except for Salman, several other stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, attended the special screening. Stalwart Rekha walked with Vicky Kaushal and Aamir to get some pictures clicked, and she took turns posing with both the men, who, despite their own status, seemed star-struck. Kaushal also seemed delighted to meet actor Javed Jaffrey, whom he hugged and greeted right outside the venue. Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Imran Khan, Jitendra, Genelia, Riteish Deshmukh and many other stars graced the event with their presence. Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par follows Aamir, who plays the role of a basketball coach who has been ordered by the court to teach the game to a group of neurodivergent kids. Aamir has promised that this movie will only be available in the theatres, and he even refused a Rs 120 crore OTT deal in the process. The cast of the film includes Aamir Khan, Genelia D'Souza, Gurpal Singh, Gopi Krishna Varma, Aroush Dutta, Vedant Sharma, Naman Mishra, Rishabh Jain, Rishi Sahani, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Ayush Bhansali, Simran Mangeshkar, Dolly Ahluwalia, and Brijendra Kala. The music has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the background score has been provided by Ram Sampath.

Elio movie review: All smiles, and then some

Elio movie review: Pixar's latest is the staple story of an orphaned child, only this time it doesn't just have him rediscovering his family right at home but also finding one across the universe. It isn't exactly a voyage into the unknown, but it's not a wasted ride either. The titular Elio (Kibreab) is grieving the loss of his parents and proving a handful for his aunt Olga (Saldana) when he catches a presentation on the Voyager, the spaceship that has gone further than any and is still on its journey more than 45 years after its launch. Elio particularly latches on to its message that 'We may not be alone' and goes on to try everything he can to get the aliens to 'abduct' him, including scrawling the message on sand. Given that Olga is an aspiring astronaut working on a space base, the inevitable is close at hand, and somehow Elio gets beamed up. ALSO READ: Sitaare Zameen Par movie review: Aamir Khan delivers fully committed performance in heart-winning comedy The place where he lands is a kaleidoscope of luminescent colour, with creatures floating on their own or on what look like petals, having created a world called 'Communiverse', inhabited by 'the most brilliant minds of the universe'. They presume Elio is one such and is 'the leader of Planet Earth'. Elio, not really inclined to dispel the notion, soon finds himself swept into the conflict between this peaceful world and Lord Grigon (Garrett), who calls himself the Blood Emperor and is a metal-and-menace Marvel-lite creation. Too many complications happen next, including cloning, and the themes the animation explores may be lost on children. Elio does strike a friendship with Grigon's son Glordon (a wonderful Edgerly), but this too loses its way in the chaos unfolding between the many worlds. Glordon's apprehension that he is a disappointment to his ferocious father is ultimately the film's sweetest. He seizes with glee Elio's ploy to make him a 'bargaining chip' against his father. 'All I have ever been called till now is a liability, a burden,' Glordon says cheerfully. Carl Sagan's words ring out more than once in Elio. The search for alien life, he said, touches 'the deepest of human concerns' – 'Are we alone?' Often, we don't have to look so far. Elio movie cast: Voices of Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldana, Remy Edgerly, Brad Garrett, Shirley Henderson Elio movie directors: Adrian Molina, Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi Elio movie rating: 3 stars
