Conor McGregor's new look sparks concern among fans for UFC star
Conor McGregor has sparked worry amongst supporters after flaunting a rather bizarre new haircut on social media.
The former dual-weight UFC champion has not fought since his defeat to long-time rival Dustin Poirier in 2021. He was scheduled to stage a spectacular comeback against former Bellator world champion Michael Chandler last year, but withdrew from the contest after picking up an injury in training.
While the Irishman has voiced his eagerness to return to the UFC, nothing has been confirmed officially as yet. The 37-year-old has been maintaining consistent training over recent months amid speculation of a potential octagon return.
The 'Notorious' recently posted on social media once more, though not to display his punishing workout routine, but to unveil his latest trim. McGregor appeared to opt for the Chuck Liddell look as he is now sporting a mohawk. Several fans rushed to the comments section - with the UFC faithful left stunned by the Irishman's hairstyle selection, reports All Out Fighting.
One supporter posted on X - previously Twitter - writing: "Just looking worse and worse everyday," whilst another remarked: "Dude is so done." A third user stated: "Something's wrong with McGregor." Another responded: "I can't look at him in the eyes anymore."
One fan remarked: "I think the old Conor would be disgusted with who he is today," while another responded: "Yup, we've officially lost him." A seventh user posted: "He's never coming back." Fans were quick to compare his new look to that of Yondu Udonta - a character from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Despite his unusual haircut, McGregor is preparing for a potential return to the cage soon and is scheduled to meet with UFC boss Dana White. It's been some time since they had formal discussions, but plans are in place for a meeting. Both will be in Italy in the next few days, planning a brief meeting where McGregor's comeback could be the main topic. White recently celebrated his 56th birthday.
Given McGregor's close ties with the UFC chief, the Irishman sent the American a batch of his new cigars, set to be distributed worldwide in the coming weeks. Last week, White shared a video on his Instagram story of him holding the gift, writing: "Thank you @thenotoriousmma." He also hinted at something else, adding: "See you in Italy," suggesting that talks might be imminent.
When is Conor McGregor's next fight?
Recently, US President Donald Trump announced his plans to host a historic UFC event at the White House next year. Following this announcement, numerous fighters expressed their eagerness to participate in the historic card, including McGregor.
The 37-year-old took to social media and posted: "Happy 4th of July, USA. Excited with President Trump announcing a UFC fight event at the White House! I would be honoured! Count me in! !" UFC boss Dana White also appears to support the idea after McGregor shared a conversation with him. The Irishman sent the UFC chief several voice notes, seemingly related to the proposed White House event, to which White responded: "I love it!".
McGregor later reiterated his comments during a recent BKFC event, stating: "It's looking like I'm headed to the Oval Office again. That's where I'm headed next." White recently suggested that the 'Notorious' could fight alongside former heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who has just come out of retirement.
"McGregor has gotten himself to a point where he is and will be, whether he stops fighting or not, one of the biggest superstars in sports, period. He's gotten to a level of success in his life where he has to, I think, be motivated by something," White said on the Full Send podcast.

Former Rolling Stones member claims US museum has stolen his guitar
A guitar once played by two members of the Rolling Stones is at the centre of a dispute between the band's former guitarist Mick Taylor and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The 1959 Gibson Les Paul was donated to the Met as part of what the New York museum calls 'a landmark gift of more than 500 of the finest guitars from the golden age of American guitar making'. The donor is Dirk Ziff, a billionaire investor and guitar collector. When the Met announced the gift in May, Taylor thought he recognised the guitar, with its distinctive 'starburst' finish, as an instrument he last saw in 1971, when the Stones were recording the album Exile on Main St at Keith Richards's rented villa in the south of France. In the haze of drugs and rock 'n' roll that pervaded the sessions, a number of instruments went missing, believed stolen. Now, Taylor and his team believe it has reappeared. The Met says provenance records show no evidence the guitar ever belonged to Taylor. 'This guitar has a long and well-documented history of ownership,' museum spokeswoman Ann Ballis said. Taylor's partner and business manager, Marlies Damming, said the Met should make the guitar 'available for inspection'. PA Media Mick Jagger, Mick Taylor, Charlie Watts, Keith Richards and Bill Wyman of The Rolling Stones perform before a crowd of nearly 250,000 fans in Hyde Park, London in 1969. 'An independent guitar expert should be able to ascertain the guitar's provenance one way or the other,' she said in a statement to The Associated Press. While its ownership is contested, there is no disputing the instrument's starring role in rock history. It was owned in the early 1960s by Keith Richards, who played it during the Rolling Stones' first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. The Met says that performance 'ignited interest in this legendary model'. The guitar – nicknamed the Keithburst – was also played by guitar legends Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page. Taylor says he got it from Richards in 1967, two years before he joined the Stones, replacing original member Brian Jones, who died in 1969. Taylor left the band in 1974, reuniting with them for the Stones' 50th anniversary tour in 2012-2013. Jeff Allen, who was Taylor's manager and publicist for decades from the 1990s, said Taylor 'told me he got it as a present from Keith' and also mentioned the theft. 'Mick did tell me that the guitar solo that he became quite famous for, on Can't You Hear Me Knocking, was with the Les Paul that got stolen,' Allen said. The Met's records say the Les Paul was owned by Richards until 1971, when it was acquired by record producer and manager Adrian Miller who died in 2006. The guitar has changed hands several times since then, and reappeared twice in public. It was put up for auction by Christie's in 2004, when it failed to sell. Ziff bought it in 2016, and loaned it to the Met in 2019 for an exhibition titled Play it Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll. It is unclear what will happen next. The Met, which plans to open a new gallery dedicated to its collection of American guitars, says it has not been contacted by Taylor or his representatives. Hulk Hogan's daughter shares concerning conspiracy theory over WWE star's death
WWE icon Hulk Hogan died aged 71 last month and his estranged daughter has posted a conspiracy theory regarding his death despite authorities stating there was no foul play Hulk Hogan's daughter has shared a concerning conspiracy theory about the WWE star's death on social media on Tuesday before sharing a heartfelt tribute to her late father. The wrestling icon, born Terry Gene Bollea, died aged 71 on July 24 after suffering a heart attack. For years, the retired ex- WWE star hadn't been in contact with 37-year-old Brooke after their relationship broke down. That same fractured relationship was brought into the spotlight when she shared an emotional tribute on social media following Hogan's death. It was recently emerged that they had a 'tearful conversation' only a few days before he passed away at his home in Florida. A few days after his death, it was reported that Hogan died from acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, per the Pinellas County Forensic Science Centre. It comes after Sir Michael Palin says he is preparing for the end of his life in sad update. In documents obtained by PageSix, it's stated that Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is a heart condition characterised by an irregular and often rapid heart rate. The documents also record that the late sports star had a history of leukaemia, CLL, which is a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes. But now, his daughter Brooke reposted an Instagram post promoting an article by radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge that's titled 'Quick cremation without autopsy raises questions about Hulk Hogan's death'. She added the words: "Exactly". Speaking on his YouTube channel, Bubba claimed Hogan's cremation was approved without an autopsy or independent examination by the county medical examiner. Other allegations he made were that the star was already cremated and someone could have injected something into the wrestler's dialysis port while he was sleeping to induce a heart attack. "There were no signs of foul play or suspicious activity," Maj. Nate Burnside of the Clearwater Police Department told reporters, according to the Tampa Bay Times. His death certificate states he will be cremated at the Bay Area Crematory in Clearwater, with no specific date revealed. A spokesperson for the medical examiner's office confirmed a request for cremation on July 31. They told Page Six at the time: "I'm not aware of when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we've received a request for cremation approval." When Brooke phoned into Bubba's Twitch stream on Tuesday, she was asked for her thoughts on his theories. She said: "'I do think it's weird that no autopsy was performed."

Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea gets engaged to mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in shock car crash
Former Big Brother star Charley Uchea has got engaged to a mystery man just weeks after she was 'left for dead' in a shock car crash. The reality star, 40, who rose to fame on the eighth series of Big Brother in 2007, shared the happy news on Instagram on Monday. The clip began with a blurry close-up of her huge diamond ring after being propose to by her partner, 43, who she has not named publicly. Charley was also seen relaxing on a sofa wearing a grey silk nightgown as she held her hand up displaying the rock. 'A real man leads with love, protects with presence, and builds with purpose,' Charley captioned the video. She also wrote: 'Two things I know for sure — I'm not where I used to be, and God is still leading me somewhere greater ❤️.' In another post from a few days before, Charley put on a very racy display with her fiance in pictures taken from the same day - with her ring again on show. The engaged couple gazed into each others' eyes as Charley sat on his knee, with both wearing the matching silk dressing gowns. 'Nights like this with your favorite person,' she captioned the pictures. The announcement came just weeks after Charley was rushed to hospital after allegedly being 'left for dead' in a shocking car crash. She took to her Instagram Stories last month to detail the shocking incident, telling fans she had been hit by a truck. She got into the crash after spending the evening out and claimed that she was 'left for dead' on the side of the road after being 'knocked out'. Charley shared a video of herself in hospital wearing a neck brace. She had painful-looking red injuries across her eyebrow and cheek and claimed she could barely use her arms following the crash. She penned in a caption: 'Bless my nurse brushing my hair out, I can't really use my arms atm I'm so weak.' Alongside another picture of a smashed-up car, she added: 'Look at the damage this truck did just by hitting me, then leaves me [for] dead on the side of the road.' Charley also shared a photograph of herself out on the town before the crash and penned: 'Such a nice night before I ended up in the air lol and knocked out.' Charley, who celebrated her 40th birthday just days before on June 30, reassured her 251,000 followers that she would be 'home soon'. MailOnline contacted Charley for further comment at the time. Charley is best known for her 2007 Big Brother stint in the same year that Brian Belo was crowned the winner. She survived eviction until week eight, and was famously argumentative; rowing with Chanelle Hayes for ten minutes about how old Rihanna was. Charley was also attacked with a racist slur by fellow housemate Emily Parr, who was aged 19 at the time. Emily was ejected from the house in the early hours of the morning after she was heard using the N-word to Charley while they were chatting in the garden hours before. Both Charley and Nicky Maxwell, who was also present, were stunned at her use of the word however Emily swiftly insisted it 'was a joke'. She was later called to the diary room and told of her ejection by Big Brother. At the time of Emily's removal, Head of the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, Angela Jain, said after the incident: 'In the wake of Celebrity Big Brother, we must consider the potential offence to viewers regardless of Emily's intentions and her housemates' response. 'The word is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use. 'We have removed Emily from the house to once again make it clear to all housemates and the viewers at home that such behaviour won't be tolerated.'
