Most iconic Fast and Furious villain still 'waiting for a call' for the sequel

Metroa day ago
Jason Momoa has opened up about plans to return for Fast and Furious 11, admitting that he's still 'waiting for a call' from movie bosses.
The Dune legend made his debut as campy villain Dante Reyes in 2023's Fast X, and was clearly in his element alongside the star-studded cast, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese and co.
After Vin confirmed that the 11th and final instalment will be racing onto the big screen in 2027, the 46-year-old revealed that he would love to 'f**k s**t up' once again.
Speaking to Metro to promote his stunning historical drama, Chief of War, talk turned to his future projects, and whether we would ever see Dante again.
'Listen, they couldn't get rid of me if they tried,' he declared. 'But I'm just saying that I'm waiting for them to call.
'I'm ready to go. You can quote me, I'm ready to f**k s**t up.'
The most recent Fast and Furious movie ended on an almighty cliffhanger, perfectly setting up Dante's desire to exact revenge on the gang after the events of the fifth movie led to his father's death.
Jason's unhinged performance was a hit with fans and critics alike, with many branding his character the franchise's 'best villain yet'.
Unpacking his efforts in a chat with Variety at the time, he shared that he had the time of his life with the role.
'I've never played a character that's, what's the word – he's evil and quirky and androgynous,' he teased. 'He's very sadistic and fun. It's very bizarre.
'I haven't played a villain in a very long time.'
The Game of Thrones icon jumped right into character and actually improvised some of his most morbid scenes, including one where he enjoyed a cocktail with two of his dead henchmen.
Director Louis Leterrier raved about his efforts in front of the camera, telling the Hollywood Reporter: 'What you have to realize is that Jason and I love each other.
'We found each other on this movie, and we realized that making each other laugh was a great way to create Dante.
'We really liked making each other laugh, and the extra points, the joker of our game, was to get Vin to crack up and come out of character as Dom Toretto. More Trending
'So we tried really hard, like when Dante calls Dom 'butthole,' but Vin is so focused when he is on set that it was impossible.'
Fingers crossed that they can get him to crack in the next one…

A bone-chilling scream sends shivers in unexpected Coronation Street horror

Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine)'s first experience of being foster parents on Coronation Street hasn't been easy. They've been taking care of Shanice and Joanie Michaelis (Molly Kilduff and Savanna Pennington), after their parents Mick and Lou (Joe Layton and Farrel Hegarty) both ended up in prison. The girls had an unsettled life with their parents, with Mick often violent towards Lou. Mick's behaviour became worse after he discovered that their eldest child, son Brody (Ryan Mulvey), is actually the biological son of Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). A violent rampage which started with him beating up Lou and ended with him killing PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) meant that Mick will be in prison for many years. Soon afterwards, Lou was also jailed for a violent assault on Gary Windass (Mikey North). Against this turbulent backdrop, Sally and Tim have done their best to provide a safe and loving environment for the girls, but it's been a challenge. A trivial disagreement between Sally and Tim led to Shanice getting upset as it reminded her of the violent arguments she was used to witnessing. Then the two girls repeatedly fought with each other, with Joanie's behaviour sometimes turning very nasty. When she got upset and threw the TV remote at her little sister, Sally and Tim were shocked to see that Shanice had numerous bruises on her. They talked to Brody about it and he insisted that Shanice was being truthful when she said she'd fallen at school. He insisted the fight was a one-off and the sisters were usually fine with each other. Viewers knew that Brody was covering for the girls, as we've seen him previously warning his sisters to be on their best behaviour in case they're taken away from Sally and Tim. Brody's terrified that social services will try to split his siblings up and he's made it his mission to keep the family together. He recently planned to do a runner with Shanice and Joanie but was stopped by Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove). More Trending In upcoming episodes Tim hears about this plan from Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and he talks to Brody and tells him that social services only want what's best for the family. Later Brody finds out that Lou has been sentenced to four years in prison and he breaks the news to his shocked sisters. They're distraught and Sally does her best to calm them. It's not the best time for a social worker and a psychologist to visit the family, but after talking to Sally and Tim they say that they're happy for the family to stay together with the Metcalfes. Vinny receives a visit from the police in Emmerdale as he is tormented by guilt

There's been a dark cloud following Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) around Emmerdale ever since he almost kissed Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). He's spiralled and started questioning what it means for his sexuality, and whether he does fancy his pal. Vinny is now faced with the reality that he might ruin Gabby's (Rosie Bentham) life, and rather than do that, he'd sooner lie to himself. But he may not have a choice thanks to Mike. In a bid to find some answers for himself, Vinny turned to the internet. He came across Mike, who seemed to be a like-minded friend. Mike probed Vinny on whether or not he was gay and reassured him everything he was going through was normal. But Vinny found himself in even more turmoil when he arranged to meet Mike knowing that it's not right, but later snogged Gabby to remind himself of their love. Vinny and Mike's friendship progressed, and after Vinny received an urgent message from Mike, Mike arrived at Vinny's revealing he'd been kicked out by his partner. As Vinny fumbled over how to help his friend, Mike hinted there is something between them, leaving Vinny more awkward than ever. He denied it, which saw Mike flip out. Vinny was badly beaten by vicious Mike but is allowing Gabby to believe it was Kammy. It's not a great move as now she wants to go to the police and get Kammy done for assault. Vinny is being eaten alive by guilt, especially when Gabby realises their wedding rings aren't the ones she chose. More Trending Vinny tries to move on, but he's horrified when the police arrive at the scrapyard. They ask him if he knows a man called Graham going by the name of Mike. Vinny has already paid him off, but now Mike's being investigated for extortion. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Amanda Holden suffers blow as controversial Netflix show axed despite success

Despite a very successful first season, Amanda Holden's Netflix show has landed on the scrap heap. In April, Cheat: Unfinished Business arrived on the streaming platform, with Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda, 54, and Celebs Go Dating expert Paul Brunson, 50, as hosts. The format raised eyebrows before the first episode had even landed, as many were sceptical upon learning participants would be reunited with their cheating exes. Filmed in Majorca, Spain, eight former couples, who broke up because one was unfaithful, visited a luxury retreat to see if it was possible to work through their differences. Cheat proved extremely popular with streamers, finding itself in Netflix's top 10 most-watched shows in 22 countries, including the UK and the US. Alas, it seems those stats weren't enough to convince commissioners that a second season was viable. A Netflix spokesperson also confirmed: 'Cheat: Unfinished Business won't be returning.' However, this might not be the last we see of Amanda on the service. 'Bosses love Amanda and are in talks with her on three different show ideas, so it's likely fans will see a lot more of her on the platform in the future,' added the insider. 'Amanda is still very much one of the hardest-working women in showbiz and is booked and busy for the foreseeable future.' Indeed, there's no shortage of work for the TV personality, who co-hosts Heart FM's breakfast show each weekday morning, alongside Jamie Theakston. Listening figures for the show have soared in recent months, seeing Heart overtake BBC Radio 2 to become the biggest commercial breakfast show in the UK with 4.2million weekly listeners. On top of that, Amanda is due back for BGT auditions filming in October, as well as a fourth series of her renovation show with comedian Alan Carr, having been shooting in Greece this summer. And as if all of that isn't enough, Amanda's quiz show, The Inner Circle, launches on BBC One in October, with a cash prize on the line for players to take home after testing their general knowledge and strategic thinking. Relationships expert Paul has also seen a spike in popularity this year, thanks to his We Need To Talk podcast, which has featured celebrity guests such as Tulisa, Maura Higgins, Katie Price, and Cher Lloyd. Before Cheat launched this spring, the Washington-born star expressed his excitement to be working alongside Amanda so they could dive into 'all the grey areas of infidelity' together. 'To work with Amanda Holden has been a dream of mine, so with her on board, there was no way I could say no,' he praised. Amanda was also 100% in, having hailed Cheat as her 'dream' job, most likely making its cancellation all the more gutting. More Trending She told the Daily Mail: 'It is my dream job; if I could have manifested a job… this would have been it. It is the job I have wanted my whole life, and it's finally happening. 'A series about second chances and unfinished business. I can't wait, along with Paul, to meet and help these couples work out whether they can forgive and forget. I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of it.' Season 1 of Cheat: Unfinished Business is available to stream on Netflix. Got a story?
