Hezbollah: Israeli Threats Will Not Force Us to Surrender or Disarm Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem affirmed on Sunday that Israeli threats will not lead the Lebanese group to surrender or abandon its weapons, amid ongoing U.S. pressure calling for Hezbollah's disarmament. اضافة اعلان In a televised speech marking Ashura, Qassem stated: 'These threats will not make Hezbollah accept surrender.' He added: 'They shouldn't be telling us to soften our stance — they should be telling the aggressor to stop. Don't tell us to give up our weapons.' Dozens of Extremist Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Under Israeli Police Protection - Jordan News

Dozens of Extremist Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Under Israeli Police Protection Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound (Al-Haram Al-Sharif) in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday morning, entering through the Moroccan Gate under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police. اضافة اعلان According to a statement by the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem, the settlers roamed the courtyards of the holy site, received briefings about the so-called "Temple," and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the compound. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued to impose tight restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, seizing their ID cards at the mosque's outer gates and obstructing their access. Widespread calls have been issued urging residents of Jerusalem and Palestinians in the occupied interior to mobilize, remain present, and maintain a steadfast presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The calls emphasize the importance of mass turnout and performing prayers at the mosque as a practical response to the occupation's ongoing violations, and to resist attempts to isolate the holy site from its religious and popular surroundings. Al-Aqsa Mosque faces near-daily incursions and violations by settlers—except on Fridays and Saturdays—under the protection of Israeli police, in what is widely seen as part of efforts to impose a temporal and spatial division of the mosque. — (Petra)

Iranian president survives Israeli assassination attempt with minor injuries last June

ALBAWABA- Fars News Agency on Sunday disclosed new details about a dramatic Israeli airstrike that targeted a high-level meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on June 15. The closed-door meeting, held in the lower floors of a secure government facility in western Tehran, was attended by the heads of the three branches of power, including Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. According to the report, the attack bore similarities to tactics used in previous high-profile assassinations, including that of former Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah. A total of six bombs or missiles were reportedly used to strike the building's entrance and exit points, aiming to isolate the officials and disrupt airflow. The explosions caused a power outage on the targeted floor, but the attending officials managed to escape through a pre-prepared emergency hatch. Several sustained minor injuries during the exit, including President Pezeshkian, who was treated for a leg injury. The report also raised the possibility of internal infiltration, citing the precision of the strike and the level of intelligence required to locate and target the meeting. An investigation is reportedly underway to determine whether Israeli intelligence operated with inside support. The revelation of the Israeli strike on Iran's top leadership underscores the extent to which Israel has escalated its objectives in the ongoing conflict. The attack came amid the broader context of the 12-day Israeli-Iranian war, which began on June 12 when Israel launched a wide-scale military campaign targeting what it described as Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) infrastructure. The United States also participated, striking three Iranian nuclear facilities. According to Iranian authorities, the Israeli-led offensive and subsequent retaliatory strikes have resulted in over 1,000 deaths and numerous injuries inside Iran. In response, Iran launched a large-scale counterattack that caused extensive damage to key areas in Israel, marking one of the most destructive assaults on Israeli territory since the state's establishment in 1948.

RSF controls major areas in El Fasher city in Sudan

Published July 13th, 2025 - 05:58 GMT ALBAWABA - The Sudanese army announced repelling a new attack by the Rapid Support Forces on El Fasher on Saturday, according to a military source quoted by AFP. The announcement came after the Rapid Support Forces said it took control over several key areas in the city located in western Sudan on Saturday. It is worth noting that El Fasher is the only major city not controlled by the Rapid Support Forces in the Darfur Region, which has been under siege for more than a year amid its war with the army since April 2023. The military source reported that the Sudanese army, supported by allied armed factions, recaptured Shalla Prison and the Central Reserve Police headquarters in the southwest of the city, inflicting "heavy losses" on the Rapid Support Forces. Meanwhile, a source in the RSF told AFP that the latter had been in complete control of these same sites since Friday, in addition to the livestock market located south of El Fasher. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (
