
Officials told to address drinking water issues
Kondapi: Social welfare minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy instructed the officials to take necessary measures to prevent drinking water shortage for the locals in the Kondapi assembly constituency during the summer season. On Tuesday, he conducted a review meeting with the MPDOs, EPRDOs, and Panchayat Secretaries from six mandals of the constituency and examined village-specific issues at his camp office in Turpu Nayudupalem.
The review focused on several infrastructure concerns, including water supply, electricity, CC roads, sanitation, and drainage systems. The Minister listened to officials outlining various challenges before providing directions.
Speaking to the officials, Minister Swamy emphasised that officials must ensure no drinking water problems occur during summer. He ordered immediate repairs for damaged motors and stressed that no village should face water scarcity.
He directed officials to enhance greenery and cleanliness in villages, regularly clear drainage systems, and conduct the 'Swachh Andhra- Swarna Andhra' programme on the third Saturday of every month in all villages. He directed the officials to install streetlights across all villages. The Minister asked officials to work with accountability to maintain the government's good reputation with the public.
The minister said that within just one year of the alliance government taking power, significant development and welfare programmes have been implemented across the state. He stated that under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh is progressing rapidly on the path of development.

Mr. Dinakar announced that Phase-1 reviews of Twenty Point Programme were completed across all 26 districts. 'The State is transitioning from the destruction under YSRCP to the vision of Swarna Andhra,' he said and claimed that the State had secured investment MoUs worth ₹9.34 lakh crore and was working to generate 25 lakh jobs. He detailed flagship projects including Amaravati capital development, Visakhapatnam economic zone, Polavaram Project Phase-1 by 2027, and industrial zones in Kopparthi-Orvakal. He emphasised a shift from YSRCP's 'anti-people, arrogant governance' to 'public participation and policy correction.' Mr. Dinakar criticised the YSRCP's 'failures' in housing, JJM, and AMRUT schemes, citing inflated progress reports and mismanagement. He also accused the previous regime of misusing ₹96 crore in media surveys and liquor policy corruption. He affirmed the current government's focus on women's empowerment, decentralised development, and large-scale recruitment drives. 'With Mr. Modi's Viksit Bharat vision and Mr. Naidu's leadership, Andhra Pradesh is being steered towards a $2.4 trillion economy,' he said.

Minister distributes agricultural equipment
Kondapi: Social Welfare Minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy urged farmers to make optimal use of government incentives designed to save time and achieve higher yields at lower costs through new technology and agricultural mechanisation. The minister, along with AP Maritime Board chairman Damacharla Sathyanarayana, distributed agricultural mechanisation equipment, Kisan Drones with an 80 per cent subsidy, and subsidised seeds to farmers at Surareddy Palem in Tanguturu mandal. Speaking at the event, Minister Swamy stated that making agriculture profitable is the primary objective of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He said that the state government is distributing agricultural equipment to farmers across the state with an investment of Rs 100 crore. He said that agricultural mechanisation equipment worth Rs 3.98 crore is being provided in the district. The minister advised the farmers that they should utilise the government's encouragement to achieve higher yields at lower costs through new technology and agricultural mechanisation. He emphasised that the state government is taking steps to establish 800 village-level Kisan unions across the state to provide drones to farmers. He criticised the previous government for dedicating the incomplete Veligonda project to the nation, thereby deceiving the district people, and assured that only the coalition government will complete the Veligonda project. Responding to the local issues, the minister said that proposals worth Rs 450 crore have been sent to provide drinking water to villages in the region from Ramatheertham Reservoir. Meanwhile, filters will be installed to supply safe drinking water from the pond. The programme was attended by District Agriculture Officer Srinivasa Rao, Sarpanch Sailaja, mandal agriculture officials, mandal public representatives, farmer beneficiaries, and community members.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister described Bakrid as a symbol of sacrifice and emphasised that the festival's core message is cultivating compassion and kindness toward the poor and needy. He elaborated that the tradition of 'Qurbani' serves as an annual reminder that one should be willing to sacrifice anything dear to them for divine pleasure. The Minister noted that sacrifice elevates human beings to nobility, and Muslims celebrate Bakrid as a commemoration of a great person's sacrifice. He extended greetings to Muslim brothers and all citizens of the State on this auspicious occasion. Similar prayers were done at Eidgahs in Podili, Giddalur, Markapuram, and other places as part of Bakrid. The speakers explained the importance of Eid Al-Adha and how Prophet Ibrahim offered his son Ismail for Qurbani. They prayed to Allah to provide peace all over the world.
