Eva Longoria On Her Role
Sharing more about her role, Longoria recently revealed that her character isn't just a background presence but a crucial part of the storyline.
'What I loved about the script and what I love about this film too is that I play Eddie's wife, but I end up going along for the ride. I end up part of the adventure. And through a series of circumstances, I end up in trouble with them and I'm probably the most sane person in the situation," she said as quoted by ANI.
Longoria added that her character gets the chance to 'save the day" by the end. 'I save the day at the end. I think it's really fun when you're not just the wife of or the girlfriend in a film, when you play a vital part in the adventure," she shared.
Off-Screen Moments With Eddie Murphy
While the film has its share of high-speed chases and comic chaos, Longoria had earlier shared that some of her most memorable experiences happened off-screen. She recalled her time with Murphy between takes.
'My favourite moments with Eddie were off-screen, just sitting around between takes while I totally fangirled. I'd bring up every movie he's ever done. I'm pretty sure he got tired of me asking questions, but I couldn't help it!" she said in an interview with iHola!
She also spoke about the sense of admiration Murphy receives on set. 'He's got such an incredible legacy. You feel everybody kind of have that respect and admiration for a man who's done so much and so well," she shared.
Also Seen In War Of The Worlds
In addition to The Pickup, Longoria was recently seen in War of the Worlds which released on July 30. The film, directed by Rich Lee, is a reimagining of the classic 1898 science fiction story by H.G. Wells. In this version, Longoria stars alongside actor and rapper Ice Cube in a narrative that explores an attempted invasion of Earth.

Pamela Anderson Repeats Claim Sylvester Stallone Offered Her Condo, Porsche To Date Him
Last Updated: Appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the Baywatch icon stood by her story, originally shared in her 2023 Netflix documentary, Pamela, a Love Story. Pamela Anderson has once again addressed her explosive claim that Sylvester Stallone once offered her a Porsche and a condo in exchange for being his 'No. 1 girl." Appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the Baywatch icon stood by her story, originally shared in her 2023 Netflix documentary, Pamela, a Love Story. Host Andy Cohen brought up Stallone's denial of the incident, asking Anderson, 'What do you think about him denying it?" To this, the 58-year-old actress simply replied, 'Well, how could you make that up? That was pretty specific." Cohen then lightened the moment by asking if a different car might have swayed her. 'Maybe like a Shelby Cobra or something?" he joked. Anderson laughed and replied, 'No, no, no, no, no." In Pamela, a Love Story, the actress had claimed, 'I remember talking to Sylvester Stallone one time and he offered me a condo and a Porsche to be his No. 1 girl. And I was like, 'Does that mean there's a No. 2? Uh-uh.' He goes, 'That's the best offer you're gonna get, honey. You're in Hollywood now.'" She added in the film, 'I wanted to really be in love. I didn't want anything less than that." Shortly after the documentary aired, a representative for Stallone denied the story in a statement to PEOPLE, calling Anderson's remarks 'false and fabricated." 'Mr. Stallone confirms that he never made any portion of that statement," the rep asserted. Meanwhile, both stars have moved on in their personal lives. Stallone has been married to model Jennifer Flavin since 1997. Anderson, meanwhile, has sparked romance rumors with her Naked Gun co-star Liam Neeson. Cohen even teased their budding romance on the show, saying, 'All of your friends are very much stanning this relationship, as the kids say."
