Stereophonics' Kelly Jones opens up about wild lifestyle and reveals the 'f***ing ridiculous' star who played at his wedding
As Kelly and his band are preparing to release their 13th studio album Make 'Em Laugh, Make 'Em Cry, Make 'Em Wait, the singer said it has been a wild ride.
He detailed the amazing acts he has previously toured with and revealed the Ronnie Wood performed at his wedding.
Kelly told The Sun: 'We've had the opportunity to go on the road with all of our idols. We were very, very lucky to be on David Bowie 's last tour. The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 – they all took us on tour. You can't beat that.'
'Oh and Ronnie Wood being in my wedding band, it's just f***ing [ridiculous] really. They are the moments I will take with me, because they are things that I thought were never achievable.'
It is unknown which wedding the Rolling Stones rocker performed at but Kelly has tied the knot twice, once with graphic designer Rebecca Walters in 2003 and they went on to welcome two children together before they split in 2007.
He later tied the knot again in 2013 with journalist Jakki Healy, and they also have two children together.
August 2027 will mark the 30th anniversary of Stereophonics' debut album Word Gets Around, but Kelly said he won't be celebrating.
He explained: 'I'm not sure if we will make a big deal of it. It seems like every two years there is an anniversary for one record or another. I've always tried to move forward rather than move back. I'm proud of what Word Gets Around is.
'I'm really grateful that I continue to write songs and have made 13 albums and have 180 songs to pick and choose from every night.'
Opening up about the new album, Kelly added that fans can expect some 'uplifting, anthemic and feel-good' records.
It comes after Kelly previously recalled the time his neighbour was left stunned after finding singing legend Sir Tom Jones in his kitchen.
The singer has been good friends with fellow Welshman Sir Tom since 1997 and once invited him back to his home for a few drinks after a television appearance.
During his visit, Sir Tom gave an impromptu kitchen performance of some of his biggest hits to his pals while at Kelly's flat.
However, the moment prompted one of Kelly's neighbours to bang on the door and ask them to turn the 'Tom Jones records' down, only to be left in utter disbelief when he saw the star standing in the kitchen.
Referring to late Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable, who died in 2010, Kelly explained on BBC Radio 2: 'He came back to my flat once after doing a Jools Holland show with Stuart. We were having a drink in the house and it was going on a bit.
'And the guy above came down, and we were singing and stuff. And the guy knocked on the door and he said, "Look, I've got really early appointment in the morning. Can you turn down the Tom Jones records down a bit?"
'And Stuart comes to the door and he goes, "What's the problem over here then bud?" And he goes, "Look I've got to get to sleep for the morning can you just turn down the Tom Jones records?"
'And we said, "We're not playing Tom Jones records," I said, "Tom Jones is in my kitchen singing." And he goes, "Yeah, right."
'I go, "Look, come and have a look." And he sees Tom in the kitchen and he goes, "Ah right, fair enough." He said, "Have a good night."
'And then I close the door and and Tom goes, "That's the problem, see. When you have a flat, there's always somebody above you who' got something to say.'

Corrie recasts character for a second time in a year as new star begins filming
A young Coronation Street actor has departed the show, meaning another new face will soon join the cast. Carter-J Murphy joined the ITV soap as Harry Platt towards the end of last year. The character was born in 2016 and is the son of Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) and villain Callum Logan. Callum was killed by Kylie Platt before Harry was born, and his body was buried underneath the annex at No.8. After Harry's birth, the body was discovered, and Sarah was hospitalised for postnatal psychosis, having believed that Callum was still alive. Carter-J has only played the role for a handful of episodes, as an amazing opportunity has seen the young star depart the show. It's said the actor has been cast in Matilda the Musical and due to the fact he couldn't juggle the tour and filming for Corrie, he has left. Prior to Carter-J playing Harry, twins Freddie and Isaac Rhodes portrayed the role. Also according to The Sun, an actor called Josh has taken over the role, with his first scenes expected to air within the coming weeks. Carter-J made his screen debut in 2024 in the new Robbie Williams biopic, Better Man, playing a younger version of the singer himself. Another Platt family member was recast earlier this year, with a star called Grace Ashcroft-Gardner taking over the role as Lily Platt. The actress made her debut in a dramatic episode that saw Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) escape prison and storm Weatherfield High School in search of his daughter Joanie Michaelis (Savannah Pennington). As students realised what was going on, they went in search of safety in locked classrooms. Lily's cousin, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), ran through the corridor and arrived at the door Lily was on the other side of. Sam banged the door, desperate for Lily to open it but she was consumed with fear, meaning she completely froze. In the aftermath of this, Sam struggled with anxiety and panic attacks. The ordeal also reminded him of how his mother Natasha died. In 2022, Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) escaped from prison and went in search of revenge on Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). He pulled the trigger on a gun, believing he was shooting Leanne, but realised moments later that it wasn't her. Sam's mum Natasha later died in hospital. Newcomer Grace has taken over the role from young actress Brooke Malonie, who had played Lily since 2016. More Trending Taking to Instagram last month, Grace shared her excitement at joining the ITV soap. Alongside several behind-the-scenes pictures, she wrote: 'I am so excited to share my news that I have joined the cast of Coronation Street playing the role of Lily Platt!' She went on to thank her management saying: 'It's been a brilliant few months since my first audition, which wouldn't have happened without the fantastic Stagebox team (who I can't thank enough!). 'The whole Corrie team, the cast and crew have been absolutely amazing, I couldn't have asked for any more support during my first few weeks filming on the cobbles,' she continued, before urging her followers to watch her first episodes. Huge Fantasyland Forest theme park land that Disney World was forced to scrap
DISNEY World has a long history of 'could have beens' including a massive Fantasyland Forest that would have featured princess meet and greets. Back in 2009, Disney announced an expansion would be going ahead at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. 5 5 5 Win one of 8 incredible holidays to the Caribbean, Mexico and Greece by voting in The Sun's Travel Awards - enter to win here Whilst the expansion did go ahead, making it the largest single park expansion in the Magic Kingdom's history at the time, earlier plans fell through. The Fantasyland Enchanted Forest was set to be built in an area of the park where a few closures had taken place including the abandoned Skywalk station from 1999 and the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Submarine Voyage from 1994. Whilst a small Winnie the Pooh play area and meet-and-greet opened in 2004, the Fantasyland Enchanted Forest announced in 2009 planned to open several mini lands. The main area would have been an Enchanted Forest, acting as the central mini land where guests would be able to meet-and-greet Disney princesses such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Belle. 5 Another mini-land proposed was Pixie Hollow, with Tinker Bell and her fairy friends - guests would have even been shrunk to pixie size. Other attractions included a Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and Peter Pan's Flight ride. However, plans adapted - especially after the initial proposal received mixed reception with many fans claiming it was too "girl centric". By the time the new land opened, much was different from the first drawings. There was no central Enchanted Forest and meet-and-greets with Cinderella as she was cleaning and Sleeping Beauty on her 16th birthday were scrapped. This European castle was the inspiration for Disney Instead, the Princess Fairytale Hall took its place, with the change of meet-and-greet with Belle instead. For dining, there was plans for a 'Be Our Guest' restaurant, which did go ahead and can be found inside the Beast's castle. Sticking with Beauty and the Beast, the initial dining destinations of Gaston's Tavern and a 'Be Our Guest' restaurant in the Beast's castle did go ahead. A dark ride - which features themed sections and special effects - called Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid, also went ahead. And taking over the spot where Pixie Hollow was due to be, the Storybook Circus doubled the size of Dumbo the Flying Elephant, created an interactive queue area and re-themed the kiddie rollercoaster, The Barnstormer. Part of the site set for the Enchanted Forest was also given to a new ride known as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, replacing Snow White's Scary Adventures. According to Orlando Park Stop, this was Disney's attempt to make the new area attractive to boys as well as girls. This ride marked the last part of the development to open in May 2014 and to date remains one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World. There was also a Disneyland planned for the UK and images have revealed what it could have looked like. And here's inside an abandoned Disney World airport with its own singing runway, but planes are banned from landing. 5
