LONDON — Who hasn't watched — and pined after Carrie Bradshaw's Jimmy Choo heels — after her iconic 'Help, I lost my Choo!' moment on 'Sex and the City?'
Yearn no longer: Fashion designer Conner Ives, fashion journalist and archivist Alexander Fury, and Jimmy Choo's creative director Sandra Choi have teamed up to curate and reissue styles from the brand's archives, from 1997 to 2001.

Included in the revival are Bradshaw's feathery Jimmy Choo heels, which took flight from her foot as she dashed to make a ferry — making them available to purchase for the first time since their TV debut.
'We looked at three decades of work and dialed back to the first five years. Why? Because those years truly represent the heart and soul of Jimmy Choo — they're our roots, where it all began,' explained Choi.
'And in looking at these styles, I saw ideas that are still essential to Jimmy Choo today — eternal values of glamour, of femininity, combined with make and craft. This was a fascinating exercise for me — to see Jimmy Choo through other people's eyes,' she continued.
Also included in the capsule are a pair of strappy heels from the brand's first collection in 1997; a pair of sultry silver thong heels designed in 2000, and a gold sandal topped with a violet flower from 2001.
'This collection is about where we've come from, and what we stand for and where we continue to go. It's a celebration, pure and simple — and Jimmy Choo can always ignite a party,' added Choi.

The launch comes shortly after Chloë Sevigny was announced as the face of Jimmy Choo's summer 2025 campaign earlier this month. Bella Hadid was also spotted wearing the brand's silver 'Scarlett' shoes at the London launch of her fragrance brand, Orebella.

‘Ballerina' Losing Opening Weekend Box Office Match To ‘Lilo & Stitch'

Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves' From the World of John Wick: Ballerina is falling short in its quest to take the No. 1 spot from Lilo & Stitch at the weekend box office. Lilo & Stitch, of course, had a blockbuster opening over the four-day Memorial Day weekend box office from May 23-26 and fended off Karate Kid: Legends to hold on to its box office crown in its second-weekend frame from May 30-June 1. This weekend, Disney's live-action adaptation of the 2002 animated classic is continuing its domestic box office dominance against Ballerina, which is a prequel movie set during the events of 2019's John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. Deadline is projecting that Lilo & Stitch is on track to earn $32 million to $34 million from 4,185 theaters through Sunday, while forecasting a $26 million to $30 million No. 2 debut for Ballerina, which is opening in 3,409 venues. Deadline's estimate for Ballerina falls within the range of a mid-week projection by Variety, which pegged a $28 million to $30 million opening frame, but comes up short of Box Office Pro's opening weekend forecast of $32 million to $40 million. Ballerina had a $90 million production budget with a prints and advertising budget of $45 million, Deadline reported. Although the character of John Wick is part of the film's formal title, Keanu Reeves plays a supporting role in Ballerina, in which Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston and the late Lance Reddick all reprise their roles from the John Wick franchise. While Ballerina is falling short of pre-release forecasts, its projected take of $26 million to $30 million is enough to create a healthy separation from Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Tom Cruise's latest— and potentially last — mission as Ethan Hunt is projected by Deadline to earn $14 million from 3,496 North American theaters through Sunday for a No. 3 finish this weekend after spending two weekends at No. 2. The Hollywood trade publication also projects a $9 million take for Karate Kid: Legends from 3,859 theaters domestically for the No. 4 spot and a $5.7 million take for The Phoenician Scheme from 1,678 venues for a fifth place finish. The latest comedy from director Wes Anderson, The Phoenician Scheme staged its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the South of France in May and opened in limited release in six theaters on May 30. Note: This box office report will be updated throughout the weekend as new domestic and international numbers become available. The final numbers for this weekend's box office will come out on Monday.

Miley Cyrus Aims High With Her Latest Artistic Swerve
Miley Cyrus has spent her whole career mutating and evolving, making drastic musical left turns. She went from Hannah Montana to the indie-sleaze neon orgy that was Bangerz, the ultimate 'Disney kid breaks free' statement. But that turned out to be just one of the many Mileys we'd get to know — over the next decade, she moved on to the stoner prog-rock of her Flaming Lips project Dead Petz, to the rootsy country of Younger Now, to the Eighties electro power-glitz of Plastic Hearts. Some thought Endless Summer Vacation was as far as she could ever go. But on Something Beautiful, she's aiming higher than ever, with her most ambitious and introspective tunes. She's also made an upcoming companion film of the same name, which drops on June 6. She's not striving for hits — there isn't another 'Flowers' here. She's got loftier goals for this one, calling it 'a concept album that's an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.' She says this album is 'The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.' (Quite honestly, going up against Roger Waters in a fashion battle is setting the bar a bit low.) It's not her first Floyd moment, since she sang a memorable 'Wish You Were Here' on SNL as a pandemic lament. All over the album she returns to the theme of healing, looking for moments of beauty in the darkness. She gets help from producer Shawn Everett and a killer ensemble of rock luminaries, from Flea and Danielle Haim to indie rockers like Model/Actriz's Cole Haden, Foxygen's Jonathan Radio, and the War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel. Talk about range: this has to be the first album to include duets with both Brittany Howard, from the roots-rockers Alabama Shakes, and supermodel Naomi Campbell. Something Beautiful begins with a poetic 'Prelude' where Miley shares her thoughts about letting go of the past and moving on to the future, 'aching to be seen, aching to be real.' 'Walk of Fame' is one of the peaks, her electro pep talk on self-esteem ('Every time I walk, it's a walk of fame') with Howard making herself right at home in the disco glitz. It's essentially a tribute to Seventies producer Giorgio Moroder, just as 'Easy Lover' and 'Golden Burning Sun' go for the laid-back vibe of Fleetwood Mac. 'End of the World' goes for Abba-tooled Euro-pop, vowing to 'throw a party like McCartney with some help from our friends.' The title track begins as a soft neo-soul ballad until it flips into distorted electro-noise. 'More to Lose' is a massive Eighties-style power ballad that addresses the end of a relationship, where she sees her once-cherished ex as 'a movie star in a worn-out coat.' But the sentimental favorite has to be 'Every Girl You've Ever Loved,' a fantastic disco twirl with Campbell. It's a welcome musical comeback for the Nineties fashion icon, 30 years after her unjustly forgotten one-off trip-hop oddity Baby Woman, not to mention her famous Vanilla Ice duet 'Cool As Ice (Everybody Get Loose).' Miley sings an invitation to romance, purring, 'Aren't I pretty enough for more than fun in the dark?' Campbell plays the spoken-word hype woman, telling us all how awesome Miley is: 'She's got that kind of grace/Did Botticelli paint her face?/She's got the perfect scent/She speaks the perfect French.' It ends with a walk-off where both women chant 'Pose, pose, pose!' It's also got the album's gnarliest Eighties sax solo — and there's a load of those, because Miley is obviously in a very sax-solo place right now. 'Every Girl You've Ever Loved' is the loosest, most playful song on the album, but also the one that best illustrates the redemptive spirit she's going for on Something Beautiful. All over the album, Miley sings about keeping her chin up and looking on the positive side, even in times of trouble, which makes this album basically the opposite of The Wall, which was all about having a bad time at a rock show. But Something Beautiful is another bold swerve in one of pop's most delightfully unpredictable careers.
