BGT fans complain over ridiculous golden buzzer rule
Simon Cowell awarded the golden buzzer to young guitarist Olly Pearson but after a few more acts, the judge almost pressed it again.
Cheers erupted from the studio audience and the dance group also started to get excited at the thought of being a golden buzzer act in the semi-final.

BGT presenters Ant and Dec told Simon that the golden buzzer wouldn't work a second time, meaning Cheer Re-man's wouldn't go through to the final even if he pressed it.
BGT fans took to X to share their thoughts on the golden buzzer being available in the semi-final.
One said: 'Honestly get rid of that stupid golden buzzer! The audience should shut up! #BGT'.
Another commented: 'It's unfair this golden buzzers it's ridiculous #BGT'.
Someone else said: 'That was so awkward Bruno seemed to hold back on the golden buzzer so Simon could press it and then he never did and told them to move back ??? What a mess #bgt #britainsgottalent'.
Amanda pressed the golden buzzer after his first audition, meaning he has received two golden buzzers during his time on the show.
After he received tonight's golden buzzer, a viewer shared their reaction on X, writing: "Well deserved golden buzzer! How good was Olly Pearson? First person in #BGT history to achieve not one but TWO golden buzzers. And imagine having a grandad as cool as his. This kid needs to go far!"

One Night (ITV1) Rating: The flashbacks are a fragmented muddle. The camera slips in and out of focus with laboured artsiness. The plot about an instant bestseller is completely unbelievable. But none of that matters, because One Night sees one of television's most accomplished and powerful actresses back to her best. Jodie Whittaker 's career was dramatically derailed when she became the first female Doctor Who. And 'derailed' is the right word, because her three seasons in the Tardis were an absolute train wreck. Her relentlessly woke Doctor ricocheted through space and time with a fixed smile and a fake cheeriness, like a primary school teacher with ambitions to stand for the Lib Dems at the next local election. Lucky for Jodie that Doctor Who was already a fading institution by the time she arrived. Previous incumbents such as Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy never really recovered from their stint as Time Lords — they were permanently typecast as children's entertainers. Though the series certainly did her no good, One Night is proof that her career has survived. She holds the drama together, as Tess, a recovering alcoholic who returns to the town where she grew up in Australia. For reasons that make little sense, Tess's best friends from her teens are waiting for her, ready to unpack all the trauma she's been trying to forget for the past two decades. The exact nature of the trauma, we don't yet know, what with everybody's flashbacks being so blurred and bitty. But it's all centred on a single night of drunkenness and apparent violence. Yael Stone, best known for Orange Is The New Black, plays mother-of-two Hat, who wants to be everybody's friend but suffers fits of jealous anxiety when her husband talks to the waitress at a coffee shop. For reasons that make little sense, Tess's best friends from her teens are waiting for her, ready to unpack all the trauma she's been trying to forget for the past two decades Yael Stone (pictured), best known for Orange Is The New Black, plays mother-of-two Hat, who wants to be everybody's friend but suffers fits of jealous anxiety when her husband talks to the waitress at a coffee shop Hat is emotionally sound compared to Simone (Nicole da Silva), a hard-drinking writer whose first novel is just about to hit the bookshelves. She's spent five years working on it, while caring for her dad (William Zappa) who has dementia — but it's only now, when she has a publisher, that it occurs to her the book isn't such a good idea. It's all about that traumatic night, the one her friends would rather forget. And she hasn't actually told them she's writing it. In a fit of guilt, Simone tries to cancel the launch. But wouldn't you know it, her agent has only gone and sold it worldwide, after nine publishers fought for the rights. Typical. That's always happening to new novelists. Simone read us the first page. It's full of lines such as, 'The past narrows like a road, winding through acres of darkness,' and, 'That one night remains branded on your brain like fire'. No wonder all those publishers were fighting for it. Never mind, don't care. It's so good to see Jodie Whittaker doing real acting again, the rest is irrelevant.

After hours of deliberation, the winner was finally declared – congratulations Larry, a pug in an unmistakably wavy Richard wig. Another entrant said on Reddit: 'I didn't even place. ITV Granada interviewed me though and I simply said the pug had more game than me.' They added: 'To all the people saying this should be an annual event, it's happening next summer as well. I believe the names thrown about were Deirdre Barlow or Luke Littler.' The real Richard Madeley reportedly faced the axe from Good Morning as ITV issued sweeping changes to its daytime programming. The 69-year-old host has been a staple of the morning news show since 2017 alongside co-host Susanna Reid and was said to be receiving a lucrative £300k salary for the gig before this 'bloodbath'. On ITV Richard shared a candid insight into his 35-year marriage with fellow TV icon Judy. Recounting moments of strain in his relationship, he said: 'Well, I mean, sometimes, you'd have a row. And you'd get to work not talking. But the show was a cure.' 'I mean, it wasn't, like, false, you actually did genuinely have to come on and do the double act. You would find that within maybe 15, 20 minutes of going on air.' 'You'd just forgotten all about it because you were both focusing on the job. And so it was a very good way of processing a row.'
