Elton John holds 'crisis talks' with Brooklyn Beckham amid ongoing family feud
There's been a further development in the ongoing Beckham feud, as Sir Elton John has allegedly stepped in to try and mend the family rift. Brooklyn became has became somewhat estranged from his parents, David and Victoria, in recent months.
And now Brooklyn's godfather Sir Elton is reportedly keen to mend bridges between the family. The legendary musician, 78, recently welcomed him and wife Nicola Peltz for lunch in Cannes alongside husband David Furnish.
The meeting took place at the La Guerite beach club, where it was said they discussed the fractured family relationships according to reports in the Mirror. "Elton is the showbiz equivalent of Switzerland," a source revealed regarding Elton's efforts. "He's utterly neutral in this row."
Although Elton was previously notoriously known for spats, including his infamous one with Madonna in prior years, those around him have suggested he is now laser focused on providing more peaceful surrounds.
"Elton of old may have relished in taking sides - in this case his young godson, Brooklyn, but two years off his 80th birthday, he's a man who has seen and done it all. He just wants everyone to be happy," the insider divulged.
The source added in discussion with The Sun: "There is no side-taking as such, he simply adores his godson, and really has a laugh with Nicola who he thinks has a great sense of humour."
Elton John is said to take his role as godfather seriously, with the insider noting, "He wants to look after them in his role as 'spiritual adviser' as a godfather."
"Elton and David think the situation is terribly sad, and has gently suggested to all involved that life is short and to patch things up," they added.
Although the ongoing family feud was a hot topic, it wasn't the main discussion over lunch. According to insiders, the group "had a really fun long lunch" in the South of France.
Elton and his husband David hosted the gathering at their stunning villa, where Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly engaged in lighter conversation topics after briefly discussing his current family situation.
While Elton stuck to sparkling water, Brooklyn enjoyed several beers and his wife Nicola opted for an Aperol Spritz. The couple reportedly feasted on seafood, including La Guerite's signature lobster linguine, which comes with a hefty price tag of £190.
Elton generously picked up the tab for the six-person meal. This gathering comes amid rumours of increasing tension and distance between Brooklyn and his family, particularly his parents, David and Victoria and his brothers Romeo and Cruz.
It comes after Brooklyn has been missing from key family events in recent months, including David's 50th birthday celebrations and he also remained silent on Father's Day, also appearing to snub his dad's knighthood.
There has also been some social media activity hinting at troubled waters, after Romeo, 22, and younger brother Cruz were said to have unfollowed the oldest Beckham brother, hinting towards escalating tentions in the clan.

Brooklyn Beckham issues 'financial flex' over dad David as he cosies up to father-in-law
Hot sauce founder Brooklyn Beckham has been holidaying with his wife Nicola Peltz's family as he keeps his distance from his famous parents David and Victoria Beckham Brooklyn Beckham's fallout with his famous mum and dad shows no signs of slowing down as he appears to reap the benefits of his billionaire father-in-law. The hot sauce founder, 26, has been locked in a family fallout with David and Victoria Beckham as he continued to stand with his wife Nicola Peltz. Things haven't been rosy between the Beckhams since Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David's 50th birthday celebrations in May. Brooklyn went on to issue a series of snubs when it came to Father's Day and David's long awaited knighthood achievment. The fallout seems to have spilled down the family as both Brooklyn's younger brothers Romeo and Cruz have unfollowed him on social media. Brooklyn appears to be surrounding himself with his in-laws amid the drama and has even headed on holiday with them. He sailed into Saint-Tropez on a £85million, 80 metre yacht called Project X as he lapped up the luxury getaway. It had been rented by Nicola's parents, Nelson and Claudia Peltz, and set them back a staggering £1.2million a week. Brooklyn avoided a run in with his parents as they arrived in the same French dock just two days later - which he reportedly was unaware of. They turned up on a £16million, 40 metre vessel named Seven. 'Brooklyn's yacht dwarfs the one owned by David and Victoria. It's a financial flex," a source told the Sun. 'Their relationship is beyond soured now but Brooklyn has really landed on his feet. "Nicola and her parents, Nelson and Claudia, are his family now. And he's clearly enjoying the spoils.' David and Victoria, who own their yacht that's half the size of Brooklyn's in-laws rented boat, are in Saint-Tropez with their sons Romeo and Cruz as well as daughter Harper. However, a source told the Mirror that Brooklyn was unaware that David and Victoria were arriving in Saint-Tropez two days later. They added the couple had a lovely time and enjoyed the hospitality provided by Nelson. Brooklyn, meanwhile, has been keen to share snaps of his own trip as he drank a bottle of beer next to Nelson. One moment showed Brooklyn leaning towards Nelson, who had his arm around his son-in-law, whilst another showed the in-laws embraced in a hug by a table. Brooklyn has attracted attention over spending time with his in-laws lately amid claims he "doesn't really feel like he fits into" his own family. A source told the Mirror that he's also grown "so close" to Nicola's family. They said: "He just doesn't feel his family have treated Nicola well and now that he's grown so close to her family in the States, he doesn't really feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now." Amid rumours of tension between Brooklyn and his parents, he is said to have met up with godfather Sir Elton John, who tried to act as "peacemaker". He is said to have caught up with Brooklyn and Nicola over lunch in Cannes. Elton is said to "adore" Brooklyn and have a "laugh" with Nicola, who he believes has a "great" sense of humour. A source told the Sun: "[Elton's] utterly neutral in this row. Elton and David think the situation is terribly sad, and has gently suggested to all involved that life is short - and to patch things up." The source said that the group had a "really fun long lunch" despite the tough conversation.

ITV Coronation Street stars' real-life age gap leaves fans stunned
Coronation Street stars Claire Sweeney and Alan Halsall play mother and son duo Cassie and Tyrone Dobbs, but fans have been left seriously shocked by their real-life age gap Coronation Street fans have been left stunned by the real-life age difference between Claire Sweeney and Alan Halsall, who portray mother-son duo Cassie and Tyrone. Alan first appeared on our screens as Tyrone in the iconic ITV soap back in 1998. Since then, he's become a main character of the show, featuring in numerous significant storylines. From his romantic links and subsequent marriage to Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) to enduring domestic abuse from his fiancée Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede), Tyrone's stint in Weatherfield has been anything but uneventful. Cassie on the other hand made her Weatherfield debut in 2023 as Tyrone's estranged mother and a recovering drug addict. It didn't take long for her to find herself caught up in some drama. Earlier this year, she was responsible for poisoning Ken Barlow (William Roache) who she was caring for, in a shocking attempt to extend her presence in his life, as reported by the Mirror. In a dramatic turn of events, Ken was rushed to hospital following a heart attack and thankfully he survived. The truth about Cassie's role in Ken's health scare was eventually unveiled, leaving the community, including Tyrone, horrified. Despite everything, Ken forgave her and she has since moved back in with Tyrone. Adding to the intrigue, Cassie has recently rekindled her romance with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and the pair gone public with their relationship. However, away from the cameras, fans have been intrigued by the age difference between actors Claire and Alan. Claire is 54 and Alan is 42, which means there's a 12 year age gap between the two stars. However, their on-screen characters, Cassie and Tyrone, have a larger age difference of nearly 16 years. "Just found out that Claire Sweeney and Corrie son Alan have an 12-year age-gap wth," one person expressed surprise on a Corrie Facebook fan page. Another added: "Another unrealistic age gap." A third was taken aback, commenting on the social media platform: "Oh wow I didn't realise that." Yet another wrote: "I've said from the start she doesn't look old enough to be Tyrone's mum."

Janice Dickinson, 70, posed for Playboy while dating stars like Rob Lowe and Sylvester Stallone... see her now
is a 70-year-old supermodel from the 1980s who used to have the world on a string. The siren was one of the world's top talents, appearing on the covers of Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Vogue. The brunette bombshell also posed for Playboy magazine. Dickinson was a top choice to pose for high-end fashion houses such as Versace, Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein. And the Brooklyn native was savvy enough to turn her modeling career into TV work: She was a judge on America's Next Top Model and appeared on the fourth season of Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. Janice was also the star of her own reality TV series, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency that ran from 2006 to 2008, named after the business she opened in 2005. The No Lifeguard On Duty author was seen running errands alone in Los Angeles on Sunday. Dickinson had on a navy blue short-sleeved T-shirt with cut-off blue denim shorts as she left a drugstore with plastic bags. The mannequin added a beige visor and black sunglasses with white sneakers as she held onto a water bottle. She's currently married to Dr Robert 'Rocky' Gerner, an LA-based psychiatrist. They tied the knot in 2016 after Dickinson revealed that she had beaten breast cancer. She went through a six-month course of radiation and two lumpectomies. Dickinson has a wild romantic past that involved a big Hollywood star. In 1994, Sylvester Stallone and Dickinson had a fling while he was in a relationship with his now-wife Jennifer Flavin. They met a year prior at a charity event and Stallone eventually left Flavin to be with the top model. They got engaged but Stallone called it off six months later after learning that he was not the father of her daughter Savannah, who was born in February 1994, as per The Mirror. It was later revealed that businessman Michael Birnbaum, whom Dickinson dated in the early 1990s, was Savannah's biological father. Stallone rekindled his relationship with Flavin in 1995 and they tied the knot 1997. Dickinson hasn't been shy about her love of plastic surgery, having previously spent thousands of dollars on procedures to defy the aging process. In June she talked to Kaitlyn Bristowe's Off The Vine podcast. Janice said that she got her very first cosmetic surgery at age 32 while dating Stallone. 'What point in your career were you like, "I'm gonna start getting surgery done?"' Bristowe asked. 'Oh, gosh. I was dating Sylvester Stallone, and I was 32,' Dickinson replied. 'I noticed I started getting jowls...' To tackle the issue, Dickinson got a 'mini face-lift' done. A mini face-lift is meant to address early signs of aging as it corrects sagging on the lower third of the face. It requires smaller incisions than a regular face-lift, minimal downtime and the results can last up to 10 years. Dickinson recommended that Bristowe — who she said she felt she was 'at that age' where jowls start to become a concern — should also go the mini face-lift route. 'Get a mini face lift. It kept me going up until last week when I noticed [my lip lines]. I did smoke for a bit. Don't smoke. It's bad for you,' she said. The star was seen running errands alone in Los Angeles on Sunday When asked if she 'regrets' any of her past surgeries, Dickinson replied: 'Oh, no.' Dickinson is an open book when it comes to her cosmetic procedures. She previously admitted on E!'s Botched that she's 'no stranger to plastic surgery' as she's previously undergone a boob job, a tummy tuck, neck and face-lifts and liposuction. She's also tried injectables like Botox but insists that her plump pout is natural. In 2013, Dickinson declared herself bankrupt owing almost $1 million in taxes and unpaid cosmetic bills. At the time of her bankruptcy filing, the star owed $8,000 to Beverly Hills dermatologist Arnold Klein and over $8,000 in debt to the Beverly Hills Anti-Aging Center. In 2007 her son Nathan said he was desperate for her to stop, but she said: 'I won't do any more plastic surgery – if he's looking.' In 2015 she appeared on Botched to fix a breast enlargement done 30 years prior which had left her with rippling across her breasts.
