While the witty bid to buy petrol caused a stir on the Internet, the administration was, however, not impressed and sealed the petrol pump for violating the order prohibiting the sale of petrol to two-wheeler riders without helmets.
A milkman arrived on a motorcycle at a petrol pump in Palda area of Indore recently. He removed the iron milk can lid and wore it as a helmet. A woman staffer ignored the act and refuelled his two-wheeler.
The viral video evoked a barrage of funny memes and messages on social media. The administration, however, didn't take the incident kindly.

"After verifying the incident, we sealed the petrol pump for defying the administrative order which prohibits the sale of petrol to two-wheeler riders without helmets," Tehsildar SS Jaroliya told PTI on Wednesday.
The 'no helmet, no petrol' order has been enforced since August 1.
After Abhay Manohar Sapre, chairman of the Supreme Court's Road Safety Committee and former judge of this court, instructed the administration to launch an intensive campaign in the city to ensure that vehicle riders follow the rule of wearing helmets and seat belts, the administration issued a restrictive order of 'no helmet, no petrol' under section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023.
The onus to follow the order lies on petrol pumps. The flouting of the order can invite imprisonment up to one year or a fine up to ₹5,000 or both.

Sikkim University student held over ‘insult' to Nepali language
A student of Sikkim University, originally from Uttar Pradesh, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly insulting the Nepali language, which is widely spoken in the state, news agency PTI reported citing officials. Darjeeling magistrate faces backlash over Nepali language remark In a separate incident, a remark attributed to a judicial magistrate in Darjeeling regarding the Nepali language drew sharp criticism from all Hill parties on Tuesday, with some even calling for her transfer, The Times of India reported. Alakananda Sarkar, serving at Mungpoo court as judicial magistrate first class and civil judge (junior division), was quoted by the local Bar as saying in open court on Monday that 'Nepali is a language of Nepal, not of India.' Lawyers from the Darjeeling, Mungpoo and Kurseong Bar associations boycotted proceedings at Darjeeling District Court in protest. Taranga Pandit, president of the Darjeeling Bar Association, told TOI the magistrate's remarks showed a lack of awareness about Nepali's constitutional status. 'Nepali is recognised in the Eighth Schedule and is an official language of the three Hills subdivisions under Official Language Act, 1961. Her remarks are disastrous not only for communal harmony but also deeply insulting to Nepali-speaking communities across India," Pandit said. Members of the Indian Gorkha Janashakti Front, led by Ajoy Edwards, put up posters across Darjeeling denouncing the episode. GTA chief Anit Thapa described the statement as 'unconstitutional and deeply hurtful to community sentiments.' Thapa also said he had informed state labour minister Moloy Ghatak of the matter. ''The minister has written to the Chief Justice and registrar general of Calcutta HC, requesting immediate intervention,' said Thapa.' In his letter, Ghatak emphasised that Nepali is recognised in the Eighth Schedule and is the official court language in the Darjeeling Hills, urging immediate resolution 'to prevent the situation from deteriorating.' Darjeeling BJP MP Raju Bista criticised the comment as 'ignorant and dangerous.' Earlier this month, a similar controversy over language arose after Delhi Police sent a letter to Banga Bhawan in Chanakyapuri requesting help in translating documents from 'Bangladeshi' into Hindi and English. The move sparked a political storm, with the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee accusing it of insulting and defaming the state. ''Scandalous, insulting, anti-national, unconstitutional !! This insults all Bengali-speaking people of India. They cannot use this kind of language which degrades and debases us all. ‘Video dikhao': Social media demands evidence of the attack as BJP claims Delhi CM Rekha Gupta got slapped
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was slapped during her weekly 'Jan Sunwai' at Civil Lines. According to PTI, police detained a 35-year-old man, who first gave her papers and then attacked her. Meanwhile, no video of the alleged attack has been publicly released yet. Social media users now demand video evidence to prove that it actually happened. 'Where's the video?' asked numerous social media users. 'Video or it didn't happen,' wrote one social media user. 'Those people who once mocked others for chasing footage have now themselves become the footage. Maybe they won't even let these videos come out,' commented another user. 'Video dikhao, mai nahi manta (show the video, else I won't believe it).' came from another. Another user referred to a similar incident with Arvind Kejriwal. The former Delhi chief minister faced many public attacks during his political career. The most talked-about incident happened on May 4, 2019, during a roadshow in Moti Nagar. A man climbed onto his open vehicle and slapped him in front of the crowd. Police caught the attacker quickly. Kejriwal was also attacked with ink, eggs and shoes at rallies. 'AK at least accepted it with video in public,' wrote one user while referring to the slapping incident. Some users referred to the Delhi CM's earlier comment on comedian Kunal Kamra coming to the capital to perform. 'Come at your own risk in Delhi,' she said. Some netizens are now using that 'warning' as an ironic statement to indicate that nobody is safe in Delhi. 'No woman (even CM) is safe in that sh*thole,' posted a frustrated user. After the attack, the Delhi chief minister was taken to the hospital. But, her condition is stable after being checked by doctors, ANI reported. BJP state chief Virendraa Sachdeva called Gupta 'strong' and informed that she had not cancelled her programmes. Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa condemned the attack, calling it a 'conspiracy' by political rivals. Minister Kapil Mishra described it as 'cowardly'. Meghalaya CSC operator booked for issuing fake ST certificates
Agency: Williamnagar (Meghalaya), Aug 20 (PTI) An operator of a common services centre (CSC) was booked for allegedly issuing fake Scheduled Tribe certificates to five people in Meghalaya's East Garo Hills district, an official said on Wednesday. The matter came to light after one such forged certificate was detected at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Williamnagar when a person submitted the document for Aadhaar enrolment, he said. The QR code on the document failed to authenticate it during scanning, the official said. The operator of Rainbow CSC at Rongsak was found to have issued fake certificates without any authority, he said. The district administration warned that any CSC, cyber cafe or browsing centre found issuing Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste certificates, income and residence certificates, or other official documents will face criminal proceedings, he added. Common services centres are the access points for the delivery of Government-to-Citizen (G2C) e-services within the reach of the citizens.
