Ozzy Osbourne's death certificate has key detail which has left fans smiling
Ozzy Osbourne fans have pointed out a distinctive touch on the late rocker's death certificate that solidifies his place in heavy metal history. The Black Sabbath legend, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019, passed away aged 76 on July 22.
He was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his death, which left a huge hole in hearts globally. Since his passing, an outpouring of tributes have come from fans and peers, with his children Kelly and Jack Osbourne sharing touching messages.
The father-of-six's death certificate was released on Monday earlier this week, disclosing that Ozzy succumbed to an 'acute myocardial infarction' and 'out of hospital cardiac arrest'. It comes following emotional scenes of Sharon Osbourne at Ozzy's funeral.
However, it was one key aspect of the certificate that caught fans attention and had everyone talking. The document officially lists the departed musician's occupation as "songwriter, performer and rock legend," as disclosed in the Mirror.
Fans took to social media to express their thoughts, with one tweeting: "The 76-year-old icon defined generations of rock fans and left a legacy that will never die," when reflecting on the death certificate. Another fan noted: "Ozzy Osbourne's occupation was officially described as ROCK LEGEND on his own death certificate."
Kelly Osbourne reached out to thank supporters for their kindness during what she described as the "hardest moment" of her life. In an Instagram post, the 40 year old shared: "I've sat down to write this a hundred times and still don't know if the words will ever feel like enough... but from the bottom of my heart, thank you."
She expressed her gratitude, saying: "The love, support, and beautiful messages I've received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life. Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain."
Kelly continued with raw honesty about her emotional journey, nothing that: "Grief is a strange thing - it sneaks up on you in waves - I will not be ok for a while - but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I'm holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much. – Kelly #BirminghamForever #OzzyForever."
On Monday, Birmingham City Council gathered the careful collection of tributes left for the self-proclaimed Prince of Darkness, preparing to preserve them before presenting them to the Osbourne family.
A small group of devoted fans observed from behind barriers, capturing photographs and embracing one another as council workers in high-visibility jackets gathered the flowers and mementos that had been placed before the bench and along the railings.
The council pledged that the keepsakes would be collected and maintained "respectfully" following discussions with the rock legend's family, then kept "with the utmost care at a secure location, ensuring they are protected and treated with dignity".
Officials stated: "In due course, they will be passed on to the Osbourne family, so they may keep them as a lasting reminder of the public's affection and support."

Love Island star Yasmin Pettet is left heartbroken as she reveals her beloved cat Miaow Miaow has died following cancer battle
Love Island finalist Yasmin Pettet has revealed her beloved cat Miaow Miaow has sadly died from cancer. The reality star, 24, often spoke lovingly about her pet during her time in the villa, but heartbreakingly, Miaow Miaow passed away from cancer at the age of 11 while Yasmin was still filming the show. Announcing the news on Instagram on Wednesday evening, Yasmin wrote: 'As I've spoken about her on the show I'm sure a lot of you will know I have a cat called miaow miaow who's been by my side for 11 years now. She continued: 'When I was filming Love Island I had a bad gut feeling something was off and when my mum and sister came into the villa I asked them and still felt like something was off. 'Rightfully they didn't tell me because I was still in the villa but after the final I called my sister and she told me that miaow miaow had cancer and died whilst I was away filming Love Island. 'I'm trying to be as active as I can be on socials but am taking time for myself to process this heartbreak. She concluded the heartbreaking post: 'RIP to my beautiful baby girl, you were so loved and will always be in my soul.' Yasmin, who came in third place with her partner Jamie Rhodes, 26, returned to social media earlier today to thank fans for their support throughout her journey. She said: 'My love island journey has been crazy to say the least but I really wouldn't have been able to do it without my Jamie, Toni and Shakira. 'I feel so grateful and blessed and can't wait to see what the future holds.' Jamie, who affectionately describes Yasmin as having 'black cat energy', praised her now that they're back home, writing: 'Absolutely smashed it, wouldn't want to do the journey with anyone else.' It comes after ITV released the voting breakdown for the final, confirming it was the closest result in the show's history. In total, Toni and Cach received 33.5% of the vote, with Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley taking 26.2% - showing the result was a close call. Yasmin and Jamie came third with 22% and Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood placed fourth with 18.3%. Toni and Cach won despite the bookies' odds revealing it was Harry and Shakira in the running to win, just hours ahead of the live final. And fans seemed delighted with the decision as they took to Twitter to wish the couple congratulations. They penned: 'Justice served well done Toni & Cach .. what a gentleman man he is'; 'Congratulations Toni and cach. First American and she won. Iconic moves'; 'a bombshell + a casa boy winning love island - iconic!'; 'Love island didn't disappoint with Cach & Toni winning'; 'Toni was her true authentic self'; 'Amazing winners - hats off to the producers for an elite season of #loveisland'. But it looks like Toni and Cach may be spending even more time together in front of the camera, as ITV are reportedly planning to offer the couple a spin-off show chronicling their long-distance relationship, according to The Sun.

Holly Willoughby wows in a white swimsuit as she lives it up on the beach during sun-soaked Portuguese holiday with sister Kelly
took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a carefree swimsuit-clad snap with her followers as she continues to enjoy her sun-soaked holiday in Portugal. The former This Morning host, 44, looked sensational in a white one-piece as she relaxed on a boat, making the most of a well-deserved break. Her chic swimsuit featured a plunging neckline and hugged her figure perfectly, showing off her enviable physique. The presenter posed up a storm for the camera, accessorising her beachy look with oversized brown sunglasses while letting her wavy blonde locks blow freely in the breeze. She captioned the sun-drenched snap with a series of summery emojis, including a wave, sun and beach umbrella. It comes after Holly and her lookalike sister Kelly gave an insight into their holiday on Tuesday as they smiled against the sunset. The TV presenter, who owns a plush villa in the Algarve, looked stunning in a patterned one-shouldered dress. Completing her summery look, she styled her hair into beachy waves and opted for minimal makeup. Kelly wore a plunging white linen dress, which was cinched in at the waist with a wrap-around belt. The siblings shared a selfie from a balcony and captioned the update: 'Always better together.' Holly frequently spends her summer at her £2 million holiday home at a luxury resort on the Algarve. Holly's summer break comes after she faced a string of blows on her presenting gigs. Her Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt was axed after just one series following claims that it was too expensive to produce. It came months after her other mainstream programme, Dancing On Ice, was axed in March, while she also decided to step down from presenting duties on You Bet! Having been the darling of TV for several years, Holly is still in huge demand with a plethora of options open to her as she navigates this tricky stage in her career. According to The Sun, one option could be the reboot of the classic series Record Breakers, which her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin, 50, is currently working on. A source told the production that Holly would be the 'perfect fit' for the show, which at present is in its early stages and currently does not have a channel attached. They explained: 'Record Breakers is likely to be a prime-time hit, and it would make perfect sense for Holly to take the reins. She has worked alongside Dan before and the pair know what it takes to make great telly.' Meanwhile, Holly has also been linked to the revival of Cilla Black's Blind Date, alongside the likes of Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall. Originally, rumours suggested the ITV hit would make a comeback on the BBC, but now sources claim the love-match show will reboot on Disney+. In March, Holly was tipped to become the next Cilla, with the presenter lining up a string of big-money deals worth up to £10million. The revival was previously being considered by Holly's husband, Dan Baldwin, and the star had previously stepped into Cilla's shoes when she hosted a reboot of Surprise Surprise. An insider told The Sun at the time: 'There might not sound like obvious parallels between Holly and Cilla, but they're both two of the biggest stars of modern telly. 'Emulating Cilla isn't just about taking on her shows, it's as much about carving out a niche as a solo presenter with serious clout in the world of telly. 'But together with her husband Dan, they form the ultimate power couple in TV. She has the public appeal that gets viewers tuning in, while he has a track record of making hugely successful TV shows.' The Daily Mail contacted Holly's representatives for comment at the time. She has long been a familiar face on both ITV and ITV2, hosting shows including Surprise Surprise, Celebrity Juice, The Games, The Xtra Factor, and I'm A Celebrity. Holly is arguably best known for having fronted This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield from 2009 until 2023, while she also helmed Dancing On Ice from 2006.

Madonna is expected to go on hols with boyfriend Akeem Morris, 29, for her birthday next week. Last year she celebrated in Pompeii. Other birthdays have included trips to Lisbon and Sicily. Meanwhile, Madonna has spent the past few years working on a movie about her life. Actress Julia Garner was lined up to play the Hung Up hitmaker in the film before it appeared to be left on the shelf over two years ago. Now it seems that plans have been re-imagined with Julia confirming last month she is still lined up to play the iconic popstar in a Netflix miniseries about her life. Madonna and Julia are working with filmmaker Shawn Levy on the project, which is in the early stages of development. Confirming that the project was still happening, despite the uncertainty, Julia told the SmartLess podcast: 'Yeah, I mean, that's supposed to still happen." However, she did appear to hint that the project may still be far off hitting screens as she affirmed that "anything that's great, takes time".
