Time of India18-06-2025
Social media influencer Zaria Khadejah Carr, better known to her followers as Dutchess Diór, was used to putting her pain into words. But no one expected that the final things she'd post online would feel like a warning the world missed. For the unversed, the 27-year-old was killed by her husband, Shamarcus 'Frenchman' Carr, on June 14 after they had an altercation during a Facebook Live.
Hours before her death, Dutchess Diór shared a cry for help
On the morning of June 14, Dutchess Diór made a chilling Facebook post that now reads like a desperate plea. The post has gone viral after her death, with her fans widely sharing it across social media, and many alleging that the signs of a toxic relationship were always there.
In her post, the mother of two said, "I really am too loving & too forgiving. I'm a good-a** woman, but to the wrong boy. What do you know about carrying the load while being embarrassed, disrespected and steady helping a man fight demons? You can't make anybody happy who's not happy with themselves! You're going to mentally and emotionally drain yourself holding on to NOTHING! I walk through pain with a smile cause I look at any situation like God is showing me something. A man ain't making shit happen for me; I'm the face behind me, my kids, and the nxgga too!"
The Facebook Live that turned fatal
Later that same day, Dutchess Diór went live on Facebook in what would become her final appearance. In the stream, she was seen arguing with her husband, who appeared increasingly agitated as they both accused each other of cheating.
At one point during the tense back-and-forth, she said, 'He's getting mad because he doesn't like the truth coming out.' That's when things took a terrifying turn. Viewers heard him threaten her: 'You're going to make me kill you.'
The live ended abruptly. Hours later, she was found shot to death inside their home in Twin City, Georgia, around 9:30 p.m.
Shamarcus fled — and didn't survive the police chase.
After killing Zaria, Shamarcus took off in their Dodge Challenger. A manhunt was launched, and he was eventually tracked down in Wayne County. But instead of surrendering, he reportedly took his own life before officers could apprehend him.
The case quickly made headlines not just for the shocking murder-suicide but also because of how much of it played out online. The couple had gone live before during arguments, but this time, the threat was real, and it was carried out.
A mother of two, gone too soon
Dutchess Diór had recently given birth to her second child in November. Her death has left two children without parents. According to her followers, she was a loving mother, someone who worked hard to hold everything together even when things were falling apart.

FIR against right wing outfit chief for offensive post on Ashram Mahant

Varanasi: The Chowk police have lodged an FIR against Ajay Sharma , President of the Sanatan Rakshak Dal, and two others for allegedly posting offensive comments on Facebook targeting Santosh Das, the Mahant of the 325-year-old Satuwa Baba Ashram at Manikarnika Ghat. According to ACP Dashashwamedh Atul Anjan Tripathi, the FIR was registered under relevant sections of the IT Act based on Mahant Santosh Das's complaint. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. In his complaint, Das stated that Sharma publicly accused him of violating temple protocol by touching the deity during a Jalabhishek ritual at the Kashi Vishwanath temple on July 13. The Mahant clarified that he was accompanied by a 70-year-old Mahant and the President of Ayodhya's Hanumangarhi Nirvani Akhara, and that the ritual was conducted respectfully when the temple was not crowded. Das alleged that Sharma's social media remarks were defamatory and damaging to his reputation, prompting him to seek legal action. Ajay Sharma was in limelight in 2024 after removing Sai Baba statues from temples — a move that led to his arrest at the time.

Ludhiana man found dead in canal after posting suicide note on Facebook blaming wife and in-laws.

Ludhiana: A 28-year-old local man who vanished after posting a suicide note on Facebook, accusing his wife and in-laws of driving him to despair, was found dead on Tuesday in a canal of Punjab's Moga district. The discovery comes seven days after Maheshwar Singh of Grewal Colony in Ludhiana's Tibba area, went missing in circumstances that have unsettled the community. Police said he had disappeared suddenly on July 8, prompting his family to launch a desperate search and file a police complaint. Just after midnight, he had put a message on his Facebook account announcing his intention to end his life. He alleged explicitly that his wife, Sheenam Bains, and her family were responsible for his decision. Investigators from the Tibba police station circulated his photograph statewide. On Tuesday, officers in Moga reported recovering his body from a local canal. The remains have been sent for an autopsy, authorities have confirmed. Assistant sub-inspector Rajinder Singh, the lead investigator, said police had registered a first-information report (FIR) against unidentified parties initially under the new criminal code provision for wrongful confinement, "and more charges are likely as police record statements from the deceased's family". by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Bogotá: IA: gana trabajando desde casa Gran oportunidad Registro Undo Family tensions reportedly preceded Maheshwar Singh's death. His father, Balram Singh, told police that Maheshwar's marriage to Sheenam, just six months prior, had been marred by disputes. Both parties entered the relationship as their second marriage. Sheenam, who operated a salon from her parents' home before marriage, continued spending extended periods with her family, a source of friction with her husband. In late June, Sheenam informed Maheshwar she would again be staying at her parental home. Relatives said Maheshwar grew distraught increasingly, culminating in his final social media post that cast blame for his suicide. Authorities indicated that further charges could be levied after a thorough review of the family's statements and official autopsy results. MSID:: 122510164 413 |

College lecturers among 3 arrested for blackmailing and raping college student in Bengaluru: police

Two lecturers of a private college in Karnataka and their friend have been arrested for allegedly raping one of their students by blackmailing her with some of her private videos and photographs, the Bengaluru police said. Ramesh Banoth, Joint Commissioner of Police, East, confirmed the arrests on Tuesday, adding that the Marthahalli police were investigating the case of rape and blackmail registered against the accused. The arrested accused are Narendra and Sandeep, both lecturers, and their friend Anoop, a resident of Bengaluru. According to a police officer, the student was initially befriended by Narendra, who offered to share study notes with her and maintained frequent communication with her. When she visited Bengaluru for work, Narendra allegedly lured her to Anoop's house in Marathahalli under the pretense of providing additional notes, where he allegedly raped her and warned her against revealing the incident to anyone. Later, Narendra allegedly boasted about the sexual assault to his colleague Sandeep. Sandeep then allegedly began blackmailing the student, demanding sexual favours. Anoop came to know about it and allegedly blackmailed her, stating that he had installed cameras and that they had captured videos of Narendra and Sandeep sexually assaulting her. Then he allegedly sexually assaulted her. A police officer said that unable to endure the continued harassment, the student confided in her parents about her ordeal. Her family approached the Karnataka State Commission for Women for help. Acting on the commission's directive, the Marathahalli police registered a case of rape and blackmail against the trio. Nagalakshmi Choudhary, Chairperson of Karnataka State Commission for Women, said, 'One after the other, they have blackmailed the victim and exploited her. There is Instagram and Facebook involved in the crime. While she was suffering with the trauma, after she informed her parents, they approached the commission. I request children to speak to their parents and they need to act or will be the victims of such traps. She is continuing her education and it is important for me to ensure she will do well.'
