The horrific incident happened at around 7:15am on August 26, 2024, when Hinds County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Mississippi home of Terry, 67, and Kathleen Morris, 64. Officers arrived at the property to find Kathleen Morris dead from a gunshot wound to her upper body. ‌ While at the crime scene, WAPT spoke to Tony Morris' brother, who revealed that Terry and Kathleen were in the process of divorcing when the fatal shooting happend. Hinds County Sheriff, Tyee Jones, revealing that Tony Morris called "into dispatch and stated that he shot his wife". ‌ Morris was subsequently arrested and identified as the suspect in the crime, reports the Mirror US. "A single moment of anger ended a 31-year marriage and took a life. Kathleen Morris lost her life during a moment of escalation that should have never happened," commented Hinds County District Attorney Jodi E. Owens II. ‌ "This case is an example of how quickly violence can overtake reason, and why prevention matters just as much as prosecution. As a community, this is why we must create space for people to ask for help, and support systems that respond before violence becomes the outcome," Owens added. Morris was convicted of deliberate design murder and handed a life sentence at the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Law and Crime reports. In a shocking turn of events in Twin City, Georgia, a man broadcasted his murderous intentions on Facebook prior to killing his wife and then himself. The small town was left in shock after the brutal incident which led the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to step in, upon the tragic finding of Zaria Khadejah Carr, aged 27, who had been stabbed to death. Authorities in Twin City received an emergency call around 9:30 pm on June 14 concerning a domestic disturbance at the couple's home. After murdering his spouse, Shamarcus Jameal Carr, aged 36, fled in her 2021 Dodge Challenger only to later commit suicide during a police chase. Despite efforts from the police to stop him, Shamarcus ultimately took his own life before they could reach him and he died from his injuries in hospital. Before this horrific episode, the pair had been publicly disputing on social media over issues such as cheating, spreading STDs, marrying behind bars, and claims of domestic violence, reveals The NC Beat. During a final distressing Facebook Live video, Shamarcus, who went by "Thè Frenchman" online, is heard threatening Zaria with death, to which she responds in bewilderment: "Damn, I gotta die about that?" It's thought that shortly after, Shamarcus took Zaria's life. The video has since been taken down.

During the live video, her husband, Shamarcus Carr, 29, was seen arguing with her and holding a knife. He also made strange comments, saying 'the devil' was stopping him from sharing a message. Later, when police tried to arrest him, Shamarcus took his own life. Police are still investigating the case. The official cause of Zaria's death has not been confirmed. Just three hours before her body was found, Zaria posted a worrying message on Facebook under the name Duchess Dior. 'I really don't know what to do. But, I need help before I lose my life or freedom! My kids need me!' International Business Times quoted her as saying. The post shocked her followers, who quickly asked others to call emergency services. Shamarcus, known as 'The Frenchman' on Facebook, often shared videos about his French bulldog breeding business. His wife, Zaria, was also seen in many of his posts. Zaria's death is now under investigation, along with Shamarcus's. Some online viewers say parts of a heated argument between the couple were seen on a livestream. In it, Zaria reportedly accused him of not helping at home but spending on other women. At one point, he was seen with a knife though Zaria appeared to laugh and downplay the threat. So far, police and investigators haven't shared how Zaria died. A post-mortem report is awaited. When police reached her home, Zaria's car was missing. Shamarcus was also gone. Later that night, police found the car about 80 miles away in Wayne County. When officers tried to stop the car, Shamarcus shot himself. He was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.

My kids need me!" ‌ ‌ Shamarcus, who called himself "Thè Frenchman" on Facebook, had earlier broadcasted his hate towards his wife. He filmed their conversation on a livestream and said: "I swear you'll die," to which Zaria responded, "Damn, I gotta die about that?" It is understood that shortly after that conversation Shamarcus ended Zaria's life. In another video, Shamarcus confesses: "I've been cheating. F***ing off, doing my thing. So she get pregnant and I f**k around and cheat while she was pregnant." He accused Zaria of infidelity as evidenced in one video where she repeatedly attempted to dispute his claims. Captured on tape, he is heard declaring: "This the type of b***h that get beat, long story short," before seizing a knife and demanding she exits his live stream. Zaria's voice raises with concern as she asks: "What, you about to stab me?" His threat intensifies: "If I get off this live, you ain't gonna make it out the door." The investigation into Shamarcus' death is being conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, with the GBI's Medical Examiner's Office slated to perform an autopsy on Zaria. Upon conclusion of the investigation, the findings will be presented to the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office.
