EastEnders confirms return story for popular character but sadness soon follows
Lily was last seen leaving Albert Square to spend time with her biological father Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) back in May.
Her exit had followed a particularly fraught period in her relationship with Stacey, who'd struggled to step up as a parent amid her grief for her beloved Martin Fowler (James Bye) following his death in the Queen Vic explosion earlier this year.
While Stacey has since managed to get her life back on track, fresh drama kicks off just as she is preparing to welcome Lily home.
Forthcoming scenes see Stacey's excitement at her daughter's homecoming short-lived when Jean and Freddie Slater (Gillian Wright and Bobby Brazier) reveal that someone leaked her SecretCam pictures and videos online.
Fans of the BBC soap will remember that Stacey started making adult content on a subscription platform when she was struggling to make ends meet back in 2023, which also led to her gaining a stalker in the form of creepy teacher Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis).
Horrified that the images have now been leaked, Stacey quickly concludes that Joel Marshall (Max Murray) is responsible following his recent behaviour.
Last week saw the teenage incel start plotting revenge against Stacey for slapping him after he unleashed a vile rant about her past and Lily's teenage pregnancy.

Earlier this week, BBC bosses released a promo video of the professional dancers before the announcements for the celebrity line-up began. The latest announcement is YouTuber George Clarke. They captioned the video: "It's happening! Our #Strictly class of 2025 reveals begin tomorrow, tune-in to BBC One and iPlayer from 7pm!" However, it didn't take fans long to notice not all of the pros were in the video, leading them to question whether they were being paired with a celebrity this year. Neil, who has previously missed out on having a celebrity partner, was one of the dancers absent from the clip. Fans noticed Neil wasn't in the promo video Carlos Gu was another name missing, as well as Karen Hauer and Katya Jones. The comments come after Gorka Marquez told fans that he would only appear in the professional dance routines this year due to other work commitments. "Where is Gorka on the clip, hope he's it in," one fan quizzed, while another answered: "Yeah, he's in the group performances, but he has commitments to a Spanish show, so no celeb partner this year." In the 2024 series of Strictly Come Dancing, Neil was partnered with Toyah Willcox. This marked the first time in three years that Neil had been paired with a celebrity partner. He was previously partnered with Alex Scott in 2019 and Nina Wadia in 2021. The 34-year-old businessman, who has become a social media star on X following his time on the BBC business show, met up with US president Donald Trump's number two Mr Vance and his friends and family, after the duo had previously chatted on the social media platform. In a post on X, Skinner said: "When the vice president of the USA invites you for a BBQ an beers, you say yes. "Unreal night with JD and his friends and family. He was a proper gent. Lots of laughs and some fantastic food. A brilliant night, one to tell the grand kids about." In a later post he added: "Here is a pic of me and vice president @JDVance towards the end of the night after a few beers. On The Apprentice, Skinner was fired by Lord Alan Sugar in week nine during the show's 15th series in 2019.
