Abu Zuhri: Enemy's attack on Madeleine ship, arrest of activists on board war crime

Saba Yemen09-06-2025
Gaza – Saba:
Hamas leader Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri has confirmed that the enemy's attack on the Madeleine ship and the arrest of the activists on board is a war crime.
Abu Zuhri said in press statements on Monday that "it is shameful for the international community to remain silent about this piracy."
He stressed that the response to this crime must be to send ships from all countries of the world seeking to break the blockade toward Gaza, and to not surrender to the Zionist crime.
This morning, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced that the Israeli enemy army boarded Madeleine ship heading to Gaza and kidnapped the activists on board.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition launched the Madeleine, a civilian ship carrying humanitarian aid and international volunteers, from the Italian port of Catania last Sunday in a renewed attempt to break the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, which has been in place for more than 17 years.
The Madeleine is carrying vital and urgent supplies for the residents of the Gaza Strip, including baby formula, flour, rice, diapers, sanitary pads, water desalination equipment, medicines and medical supplies, as well as crutches and prosthetic limbs for children.
The ship is also accompanied by volunteers of various nationalities, including Member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan and Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

Al-Qassam releases second video of Israeli captive Abitar David inside tunnel

Gaza - Saba: Al-Qassam Brigades released a new video on Saturday evening of Israeli captive Abitar David inside a tunnel in the Gaza Strip. The prisoner appeared in the video, which reached the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), in deteriorating health, showing clear signs of emaciation and malnutrition. He said, "I haven't eaten in days, and our meager food consists of lentils and beans, and our captors are giving us what they can." He added, "Netanyahu has abandoned us, and everything we were raised on in Israel is a lie." He continued, "I am digging my own grave because my body is weakening every day, and perhaps I will be buried here in the tunnel." On Friday, al-Qassam Brigades broadcast a video of him watching archive footage from a previous prisoner exchange deal, when he was in good health. Recent photos of him appeared, showing him significantly reduced in weight, a striking contrast between his previous and current condition. The video also featured parallel scenes of Palestinian children suffering from famine and malnutrition as a result of the tightened Israeli blockade and the denial of aid entry, a message al-Qassam Brigades wanted to convey about the shared suffering of prisoners and the residents of Gaza. The video concluded with the phrase written in white on a black background: "They eat what we eat and drink what we drink." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
