Gaza – Saba:
Hamas leader Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri has confirmed that the enemy's attack on the Madeleine ship and the arrest of the activists on board is a war crime.
Abu Zuhri said in press statements on Monday that "it is shameful for the international community to remain silent about this piracy."
He stressed that the response to this crime must be to send ships from all countries of the world seeking to break the blockade toward Gaza, and to not surrender to the Zionist crime.
This morning, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition announced that the Israeli enemy army boarded Madeleine ship heading to Gaza and kidnapped the activists on board.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition launched the Madeleine, a civilian ship carrying humanitarian aid and international volunteers, from the Italian port of Catania last Sunday in a renewed attempt to break the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, which has been in place for more than 17 years.
The Madeleine is carrying vital and urgent supplies for the residents of the Gaza Strip, including baby formula, flour, rice, diapers, sanitary pads, water desalination equipment, medicines and medical supplies, as well as crutches and prosthetic limbs for children.
The ship is also accompanied by volunteers of various nationalities, including Member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan and Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

Gaza Interior Ministry: Israeli enemy targets police while pursuing gang of thieves

Gaza – Saba: The Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday the martyrdom of an officer and a member of the police forces, in addition to a passerby, and the injury of others, as a result of shelling launched by Israeli enemy forces last night on a police force while carrying out its duty to maintain security and pursue a group of thieves in al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. The ministry confirmed in a statement that "this Israeli crime comes within the framework of the repeated targeting of police forces, in an attempt to spread chaos and security chaos within the Strip," stressing that the security and police forces will continue to perform their national and humanitarian duties despite the challenges and ongoing targeting. The statement indicated that the enemy is betting on spreading chaos and sabotage through its support for gangs of thieves and agents, and its continued efforts to steal humanitarian aid, but that these attempts will fail. The Ministry of Interior called on the international community and human rights organizations to urgently intervene to halt the enemy's crimes against police and security personnel, and to halt its plans that target the social fabric and seek to starve Gaza and spread security chaos there.
