Raye And Mark Ronson Team Up For New Single ‘Suzanne'
Raye and Mark Ronson
Acclaimed British songstress Raye and superstar producer Mark Ronson have joined forces for a new single, 'Suzanne,' marking the first time the two powerhouses have worked together on new music.
The summer-ready single, 'Suzanne," is a fitting entry into both Raye and Ronson's catalogs with a blend of jazz club instrumentals and a poolside pop sensibility. The song was released in celebration of Audemars Piguet's 150th anniversary as part of the watchmaker's AP x Music program, anchored by ventures like Ronson's ongoing 'Syncing Sounds' series, which in the past has included another R&B singer collaboration: Lucky Daye's 2022 single 'Too Much."
Raye sings to the 'Suzanne' in question over Ronson's instrumentation as she shares honest thoughts about their budding relationship.
'Time gives way to the magic hour, sunset at the bar / You rest your left ear on my shoulder and I wonder if that's just how you are / I whisper to the waiter, 'A glass of something strong' / 'Cause I'm about to finally tell you how I've been feeling all along,' she sings on the track. 'Eyes are like the ocean, nails are painted green / And I know this sounds like a lie, but I swear you're the prettiest I ever seen / Now I can't tell you if you into me, so I'ma say it out loud / Things I never say, the things I should've said, I couldn't, and I guess I'm telling you now.'
Reflecting on the song and the feelings it sparks, Raye said "For me, it's just joy,' according to Elle. 'The song makes me so happy — I find it so infectious.' Getting to work with Ronson especially was a dream come true for the 'Escapism' crooner given her time working in his London studio as an up-and-coming songwriter.
'I've always been a Mark Ronson superfan,' she confessed. 'Mark is a king of timeless music — music that outlasts trends, that outlasts phases.'
Ronson, for his part, acknowledged the song's emotional underbelly, calling it 'slightly melancholy, but still joyous.' Despite working on myriad songs in the past with some of the biggest names in music, Ronson holds 'Suzanne' in especially high regard. 'This is one of my favorite pieces of music I've worked on in a long time,' he said.
Raye is set to take the stage at Bonnaroo Festival on June 14 and will perform at music festivals across Europe this summer.

David, Victoria Beckham officially become 'Sir' and 'Lady' as King Charles III bestows knighthood
David Beckham has been officially knighted by King Charles III for his services to sports and charity. The 50-year-old British soccer legend was awarded a knighthood along with Oscar winner Gary Oldman and The Who frontman Roger Daltrey in Charles' birthday honors list, which recognizes individual outstanding achievements and contributions to British society. Beckham's title is now "Sir David Beckham," and his wife, Victoria Beckham, will now be known as "Lady Victoria Beckham." "Growing up in east London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British, I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour," Beckham shared in a statement. He continued,"To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true." "Off the pitch, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation," Beckham added. "I'm so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I'm grateful to be recognised for the work that gives me so much fulfillment," he concluded. "It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I'm immensely proud and it's such an emotional moment for me to share with my family." Beckham shares sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20 and daughter Harper, 13, with Victoria. The former Manchester United player made 115 career appearances for England, including 59 as team captain, and won league titles in four countries. Beckham has been an ambassador for UNICEF since 2005 and became an ambassador for the King's Foundation in 2024, which King Charles, 76, founded in 1990 when he was the Prince of Wales. On Thursday, the monarch hosted the King's Foundation's annual awards ceremony at St. James's Palace in London. Beckham, Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Penny Lancaster were among the famous faces spotted at the event, which featured 200 guests. In 2003, Beckham received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) from the late Queen Elizabeth II. According to the Guardian, he was reportedly first nominated for a knighthood in 2011. Oldman, 67, was awarded a knighthood for his services to drama. The actor, who has been working steadily since the '80s, won the Acadamy Award for best actor for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in 2017's "The Darkest Hour." Oldman has also received three BAFTA awards, a Golden Globe and three SAG awards. Daltrey, who has served as patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust since 2000, was knighted for his services to charity. In 2000, Daltrey launched the Teenage Cancer Trust's Royal Albert Hall concerts, which he curated until 2025, raising millions for the charity. The 81-year-old singer co-founded the legendary rock band The Who in 1964. The Who has sold over 100 million records worldwide and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. "It's strange, it's an experience that I've never had before, I'm very humbled by it," Daltrey said of receiving the knighthood in a statement. "It's kind of weird, but I am deeply honoured to get this, especially for the charity for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and I accept it on their behalf really, because this honour is really for all unsung heroes," he continued. "It's a dream come true for me, but it's especially a dream because the charity means so much."

Why Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Have Never Taken Part in Trooping the Colour
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have never taken part in Trooping the Colour Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last appeared at Trooping in 2022 but watched separately from the working royal family The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been invited to the event since King Charles became monarch, reflecting ongoing family tensionsAs the royal family gathered to celebrate King Charles at this year's Trooping the Colour, a longstanding tradition marking the monarch's official birthday, two of his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, remained notably absent from the festivities. Trooping the Colour is a grand military parade held each summer in London, a tradition meant to honor the sovereign's official public birthday, which falls in November in King Charles' case. This year marks Charles' third Trooping since acceding to the throne in 2022 following Queen Elizabeth's death. While royals like Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — were front and center at the 2025 event, their cousins, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, have never taken part in the annual tradition. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared together at Trooping in 2018 and 2019, but their son Archie, born just five weeks before the 2019 parade, was too young to join the festivities. The COVID-19 pandemic led to a scaled-back event in 2020 and 2021. Although Harry and Meghan returned for the 2022 Trooping — part of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations — they watched separately from the working members of the royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not join the Buckingham Palace balcony appearance as they were no longer senior working royals. When Charles became King, he discontinued the practice of inviting both working and non-working royals to the balcony. Princess Lilibet was born in 2021, after Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties and relocated to Montecito, California. Since then, the Sussex family has not been invited to Trooping the Colour. They missed the 2023 event, King Charles' first as monarch, and again were absent from the 2024 and 2025 celebrations. In a recent BBC interview after his legal appeal was unsuccessful against a government decision that stripped him of automatic police protection in the U.K., Prince Harry expressed doubts about ever bringing his wife and children back to his home country. 'I can't see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,' he said, lamenting that his children will miss out on experiencing their British heritage firsthand. 'The things that they're going to miss is, well, everything,' Harry continued. 'I love my country. I always have done. Despite what some people in that country have done." He added, "I miss the U.K., I miss parts of the U.K., of course I do. I think that it's really quite sad that I won't be able to show my children my homeland." Though Prince Harry has made several brief visits to the U.K. without his family since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, his relationship with King Charles remains strained. The Duke of Sussex has publicly expressed a desire for reconciliation with his father and brother, Prince William, but noted the ongoing security dispute has made communication difficult. Can't get enough of PEOPLE's Royals coverage? to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more! "There's no point in continuing to fight anymore," he said. "Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has. He won't speak to me because of this security stuff. But it would be nice to reconcile." Read the original article on People

Royal decorum: George calms exuberant brother Louis during Trooping flypast
Prince George has been seen nudging his boisterous younger brother Louis to wave more calmly at the crowd following the Trooping the Colour ceremony. George, 11, Louis, seven, and their sister Charlotte, 10, watched a flypast of military aircraft from the balcony of Buckingham Palace on Saturday with their grandfather, the King, the Queen, and their parents the Prince and Princess of Wales. Louis, wearing a red tie and dark suit that matched his brother's, began enthusiastically waving at the crowd, drawing big cheers from those standing in the Mall to watch the Red Arrows fly overhead. He briefly stopped to turn around and address his father, then continued to wave and grin until George gently nudged him to stop by touching his arm. But the youngest prince could not resist giving the crowd one last wave as his family retreated into Buckingham Palace after the flypast ended. The children had ridden to Horse Guards Parade with their mother and sister in a carriage earlier in the day to watch the troops celebrating the King's official birthday. Boisterous Louis has become known for entertaining royal fans with his reactions during royal events. During VE Day celebrations earlier this year, the young prince appeared to playfully imitate George as the siblings watched the military procession from the Queen Victoria Memorial. Louis seemed to copy the way his brother flicked his hair, then smoothed down his own in an exaggerated fashion. He similarly stole the limelight at last year's Trooping the Colour ceremony, yawning and later dancing during the quick march of the Scots Guards to Highland Laddie. During the 2023 Trooping the Colour parade, Louis, then aged five, ostensibly held his nose to possibly ward off the smell of horse manure from the many military mounts. He was also seen yawning and fidgeting during the service for his grandfather's coronation at Westminster Abbey in May 2023. This year marks the third Trooping the Colour parade of Charles' reign. The King requested that members of the royal family in uniform wear black armbands in tribute to the 241 passengers and crew killed on Thursday when an Air India plane bound for Gatwick crashed in Ahmedabad. The colour – regimental flag – being trooped this year is the King's Colour of Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards, also known as the sovereign's bodyguard and which is celebrating its 375th anniversary this year.
