The Samoan Dynasty has one of the richest wrestling legacies in the history of the business. From 'High Chief' Peter Miavia to Rocky Johnson or modern greats like The Rock and
Roman Reigns
, the family has been at the forefront of the sport ever since their inception. And it is only natural that whenever any family member makes their debut in the
WWE
, the world notices.
The Bloodline saga dominated the promotion for over four years, followed by The New Bloodline storyline, which pitted half a dozen family members. The point is that every single member, ranging from Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga, received widespread attention once they decided to debut in the Stamford-based promotion. And this is something that hasn't sat well with Drew McIntyre.
Drew McIntyre Says the 'Fatu' Surname Is a Golden Ticket to Stardom
Ahead of his blockbuster match against Randy Orton at Saturday Night's Main Event, the former WWE Champion sat with Kent Brown of Sports Illustrated to promote his upcoming outing.
While discussing his career and the path to success, he quipped that the surname 'Fatu' holds great value and can help newcomers gain an unfair advantage over others.
'No, I couldn't really care less what your last name is. My journey is very different from basically anybody's ever. I came from Scotland and was the first-ever Scottish person ever signed directly from Scotland to WWE, a country of five million people. I've had such a unique journey, [with] a lot of ups and downs on the way.

'The Scottish Warrior' then took a sly dig at the Fatu family and quipped, 'In today's day and age, it's lucky I'm as good as I am, or I might get lost in the shuffle because I suggest to a lot of the talent backstage when they're asking for advice, 'Maybe change your last name to Fatu or something.' You might get more opportunities.'
There is some truth to what the former WWE Champion said. McIntyre was 'The Chosen One' when he arrived in the promotion back in 2010. However, he had to work hard to earn the main event spot in the independent circuit and TNA as Drew Galloway before making his way back to the company and becoming its top star.
On the other hand, members of the Fatu family have had the spotlight since the get-go, with Solo Sikoa feuding with every other top dog in the business, including Cody Rhodes, John Cena, and Roman Reigns. He recently won the United States title, the same as Jacob Fatu, who is also relatively new to the company.

SUPER JUNIOR Reflect on 20 Years in the Industry, Address Bullying Allegations Involving Eunhyuk

As they gear up to mark their 20th anniversary, K-pop legends SUPER JUNIOR appeared together on a variety show, offering fans a rare and candid glimpse into their journey. The members opened up about their two-decade-long career, shared behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and addressed past controversies — including the long-standing bullying rumours surrounding member Eunhyuk. The group tackled the topic head-on, setting the record straight while reflecting on their growth and bond over the years. During an episode of the variety show 'Knowing Bros', SUPER JUNIOR talked about surviving in the industry for the past 20 years. During the show, the host commented on how hard and cumbersome it must have been for the members to stay united and together in the past 20 years. They even credited fellow member Leeteuk being one of the reasons that the group did not disband. The group replied that it has not been a 'smooth journey'. Eunhyuk specifically continued, sharing that, "It hasn't been a smooth journey. We had to push through. When we debuted, we were a project group called 'Super Junior 05,' where members could rotate or graduate'. Kuhyun joked about the matter, sharing that the group became fixed when he ended up joining the group and finalising everything. Eunhyuk then continued to share details about the hardships his group had to go through. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like [화제] 갱년기 불면증으로 고생하셨던 분들 '이것' 먹고 푹 주무세요! 여성갱년기해결방법 더 알아보기 Undo "We had so many members, and there were so many ups and downs. Leeteuk even mentioned an incident at the time, around which the group kept thinking that they would disband. He shared that, 'After a pre-recording, I went to sleep under a red blanket, and someone sprinkled water on me twice. It turned out to be Donghae. I held back, but when it happened a third time, I shouted, 'Stop it.' Thinking Donghae did it again, I hit Eunhyuk, who was just laughing nearby'. He continued, 'But it was actually Kyuhyun who had done it the third time. From under the table, he said, 'Brother, it was me.' So I hit Kyuhyun too, and he responded, 'How could you do this to me?' We had to go on a live broadcast right after, and I managed to clear things up with everyone except Eunhyuk'. At the time he also revealed that he had told Eunhyuk to give the 'thank you' speech if they were to win the award at the end of the show. When they did end up winning, Eunhyuk, who was still angered at the time, called the group members his 'fellow artists' which made the bullying rumours come to light. Shindong and Kyuhyun shared that, 'It was frustrating. Even if we argue, we shouldn't show it on stage. Afterward, Shindong, in a fit of anger, kicked a box of drinks, which ended up spilling on Yesung. So they started fighting too'.
