Holkar stadium receives multiple bomb threat emails, police search yields no explosives

Indore: The Holkar Stadium in Indore once again received a threatening email claiming that a bomb was planted on the premises and would soon detonate. Following the receipt of the email, the administrative officer of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) promptly informed the police.A police team, along with a bomb squad, rushed to the stadium and initiated a thorough search, but no suspicious items were found.
Tukoganj Police Station Inspector Jitendra Yadav confirmed that he received a call from the MPCA on Monday morning, informing him about the latest threat received on their official email. The sender of the email claimed the presence of a planted bomb. Subsequently, senior police officials were notified, and the bomb disposal squad was dispatched to the stadium. However, the extensive checking yielded no results.This is the second such threat received by the MPCA in just four days. On May 9, the cricket association received a similar threatening email stating that there would be a bomb blast at the stadium. That email also warned against "messing with Pakistan" and claimed the presence of Pakistani sleeper cells across the country, urging the MPCA to "make their govt understand." Following that earlier threat, MPCA's Rohit Pandit alerted the Tukoganj police station. Inspector Jitendra Yadav and his team also conducted a search at that time but found nothing.Adding to the concern, the Bombay Hospital in Indore also received a similar bomb threat via email on Saturday. According to DCP Abhinay Vishwakarma, a team conducted a thorough check of the hospital premises but found nothing suspicious. Currently, the Crime Branch teams are investigating all the threatening emails as Punjab National Bank and some schools received a similar threatening email recently.
