Swansea City unveil plans for new city centre sports bar
Swansea City has unveiled plans to open a brand new city centre sports bar.
Named 'The Swansea Jack', the bar will open at Salubrious Place, Little Wind Street, opposite the Swansea Museum and Morgans Hotel, and is expected to be up and running ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
The bar's name is a direct nod to a pub of the same name, which was located near the club's former home at the Vetch Field, and was a popular matchday watering hole for many Swan fans. Sign up to our Swansea City newsletter here

The club hope to hold a number of fan engagement events at the bar in the near future, and it's understood it could also host future fan forums.
Forums have previously taken place at the Swansea.com Stadium, with the latest held last month. On that occasion, CEO Tom Gorringe and director of football Richard Montague both faced fans publicly for the very first time, and pledged to do more to increase engagement with supporters.
It's hoped the opening of this new bar, made in partnership with Football Taverns Ltd, will help aid those efforts.
Swansea City's head of commercial, Richard Morris, said: 'We're delighted to share these exciting plans on our new city centre venue, 'The Swansea Jack'.
"Working alongside Dal Dhillon and his team of experts at Football Taverns means we've created a space that Swansea fans can enjoy and call their own, not only on matchdays, but throughout the week.
"We have exciting plans about how we're going to use the venue, and we're excited to welcome you all to 'The Swansea Jack' when we open our doors.'
Football Taverns' Dal Dhillon added: "We're thrilled and proud to be opening our newest venue in partnership with Swansea City.

"'The Swansea Jack' is more than just a sports bar, it's a vibrant hub where the fan community can come together and celebrate their shared passion.
"It offers the fans a home outside of the stadium to indulge in every day, not just matchdays.
"It's a place where they can enjoy the rich history of the club and share every unforgettable moment on and off the pitch.
"We're excited to be opening our doors to the Jack Army for the 2025-26 season."

Tottenham trigger Ben Davies contract extension
Tottenham Hotspur have triggered a one-year extension in Ben Davies' contract. Davies, 32, is Spurs' longest-serving player, having been at the club since 2014 following his move from Swansea City. He has made 358 appearances in that time. The Wales international has undergone a slight position change in recent seasons, often operating as a left-sided centre-back, as opposed to left-back. He played 23 times for Ange Postecoglou's side in 2024-25, featuring regularly during the injury-enforced absences of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. The Athletic reported in November 2024 that Spurs intended to trigger the one-year extension clause in Davies' contract, keeping him at the club for a 12th season. He signed a three-year contract in 2022 when Antonio Conte was head coach. Davies' Spurs tenure has seen him feature under five different permanent head coaches, and the Welshman will play under his sixth next season following the dismissal of Postecoglou. He was signed by Mauricio Pochettino shortly after the Argentine's appointment, alongside Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm. The defender was an unused substitute in Spurs' Europa League final victory over Manchester United as they ended their 17-year wait for a major trophy. Spurs' 17th-place finish was the lowest in the club's history in the Premier League era. ()
