Ram Kapoor's Real Estate Empire and Upcoming Role
If you are at the top of your game in the small screen industry, you can live a life of luxury without worrying about bankruptcy, revealed Ram Kapoor . In a candid chat with Humans of Bombay, the 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hai' star said that although TV stars are not paid as much as their big-screen counterparts, if you are a successful TV star and have invested wisely, you will have enough money to last multiple generations. Citing the examples of himself, his 'Bade Acche' co-star Sakshi Tanwar, and 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi' actor Ronit Roy, he revealed that each of them has earned enough to buy several luxury cars and homes.Ram Kapoor also spoke about his admiration for fine watches and luxury automobiles. While he tends to maintain a low profile regarding his personal collection, his love for high-performance vehicles is well known. Among the luxurious models in his garage are a Mercedes-AMG G63, BMW X5, Porsche, Ferrari, and the recently purchased Lamborghini Urus, which is reportedly worth over ₹5.21 crore.Though he acknowledges public curiosity about celebrity lifestyles, Kapoor noted that he and his contemporaries don't believe in flaunting their wealth. Instead, they enjoy their possessions in private, away from the spotlight. He observed that many others in his position feel similarly, but due to his public profile, his lifestyle choices inevitably become public knowledge.Further delving into his financial journey, Kapoor pointed out that the earnings from a single hit show that runs over several years can sometimes match or even exceed eight years' worth of standard salaries. Television, when consistent and successful, offers an actor not just fame but also long-term financial stability. Kapoor remarked that those who stay at the top for two decades or more—and manage their income prudently—can create wealth that will sustain at least three or four generations. He praised actors like Ronit Roy, who transitioned from struggling in films to finding massive success in television. Ronit, once unable to afford basic necessities, reinvented himself when given a chance by producer Ektaa Kapoor. He has since built an empire, including vacation homes and a magnificent villa in Goa, he revealed. Kapoor highlighted that such actors value their achievements deeply because they have tasted both failure and success.Ram Kapoor's personal portfolio includes expansive homes in Mumbai, as well as luxurious retreats in Goa and Khandala. He also owns a high-value vacation property in Alibaug, estimated at around Rs 20 crore as per a Times of India report.Professionally, Kapoor is set to portray a brilliant detective in the upcoming series Mistry. The trailer, released on June 9, introduces his character Armaan Mistry—an eccentric investigator with obsessive-compulsive disorder who solves crimes in unconventional ways. Alongside him, Shikha Talsania plays his assistant, while Mona Singh portrays a senior police officer. The show is scheduled to premiere on JioHostar starting June 27.

Salman Khan Adds Rs 3.4-Crore Bulletproof Mercedes To His Car Collection Amid Death Threats

Salman Khan adds a bulletproof Mercedes‑Maybach GLS 600 worth Rs 3.40 cr to his fleet. Salman Khan has just added a big upgrade to his luxury car lineup—a bulletproof Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600. More than just a premium SUV, the powerhouse of a car comes packed with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system. It features a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive, allowing the vehicle to go from 0 to 100 km/h in mere 4.9 seconds, with a top speed close to 250 km/h. Estimated to cost around a whopping Rs 3.40 crore, this Maybach comes with bulletproof enhancements including reinforced armour plating and ballistic-resistant glass, offering protection on top of luxury. The move comes amid rising threats to the actor's safety. Salman has been under heightened security ever since a gunfire incident took place outside his Mumbai residence, Galaxy Apartments, last year. He previously armoured his Toyota Land Cruiser, even though Toyota doesn't manufacture bulletproof versions. Security around Salman's home has been heightened significantly in recent months. In January 2024, major upgrades were made, including installing bulletproof glass on the balcony, high-tech CCTV systems, and razor wire fencing around the building. Another incident occurred in May this year, when a woman attempted to breach security at Salman's residence in Galaxy Apartments. She managed to slip past guards, but was eventually intercepted. The breach came shortly after another security incident on May 20, when a man from Chhattisgarh was caught trying to enter the building stealthily. Police later confirmed the attempted break-in. Security around Salman Khan has been tightened following a series of alarming incidents. In April 2024, two armed men—allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang—fired shots outside the actor's Mumbai residence. Though he already receives round-the-clock police protection, authorities recommended further strengthening his private security. In June 2024, Navi Mumbai Police reportedly unearthed a new plan to attack the actor during his commute to his Panvel farmhouse, heightening concerns about his ongoing safety risks. Adding to the worry, two back-to-back intrusions took place in May. First, a woman managed to get past security at Galaxy Apartments but was stopped before reaching Salman. Just days earlier, on May 20, a man from Chhattisgarh was caught attempting to sneak into the building. Both incidents were confirmed by local police. First Published:
