Report – Italy Coach Gattuso Closely Following Inter Milan Breakout Star For International Team
This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Francesco Pio Esposito is set to be part of Inter's senior squad this coming season.
After two seasons on loan with Spezia, the Nerazzurri gave the 20-year-old a chance to prove himself at the Club World Cup this summer.
And it was an opportunity which Pio Esposito grabbed with both hands. Therefore, he will be part of Inter's plans for Serie A, the Champions League, and the Coppa Italia.

And according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, one particularly interested party in Pio Esposito's development this season would be Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso.
The legendary former AC Milan midfielder took over as Azzurri boss this summer from Luciano Spalletti.
And one area of the pitch in which there is some doubt for Italy is the attack.
It has been some time since the Azzurri have been able to call upon a truly top-class centre-forward.
There have been some candidates to step up recently. Among them are Mateo Retegui and Moise Kean.
However, if Pio Esposito is able to maintain his trajectory playing in Serie A, he could certainly also stake his claim for the national team.
The 20-year-old Inter striker has a combination of physicality, holdup play, and finishing ability that is very rare indeed.
Therefore, Gattuso will be watching with a keen eye to see whether Pio Esposito earns a spot as Italy's centre-forward for years to come with his performances over the coming season.
The young striker has already earned some comparisons to past Italy greats like Luca Toni and Christian Vieri. And Gattuso might be the happiest person of all if Pio Esposito can make good on them.

Kenny McIntosh injury places pressure on Seahawks rookie RB
The first casualty of training camp arrived for the Seattle Seahawks. Running back Kenny McIntosh suffered a season-ending torn ACL injury during Saturday's practice. Hopefully it's the first and last major injury for the Seahawks at camp. McIntosh will soon undergo season-ending surgery. He won't make the Seahawks' 53-man roster as a result. With the RB3 spot now wide open behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet, rookie running back Damien Martinez will feel pressure to fill that role. McIntosh was upgraded to second-string back when Walker missed time with injury last campaign. A seventh-round selection in 2023, McIntosh had seven carries in three separate contests last season. That responsibility could belong to Martinez in 2025. McIntosh was also a core special teamer in 2024. The former Georgia standout played 173 snaps on special teams, eighth-most on the team. If Martinez wants to be active weekly, he'll have to prove capable of filling that void on special teams. Sophomore running back George Holani and rookie undrafted free agent Jacardia Wright are also on the roster. Neither ball-carrier is expected to make the 53-man roster, though their pathway just got a little clearer with McIntosh's injury. The Seahawks drafted Martinez with a future role in mind, but McIntosh's injury just accelerated the timeline. Seahawks fear RB Kenny McIntosh has torn his ACL
Some unfortunate news came out of Seattle Seahawks training camp on Saturday. During Seattle's practice, running back Kenny McIntosh injured his knee and had to be helped off the field today. The initial fear is McIntosh suffered a torn ACL, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, but will require further testing. Originally a seventh round pick by the Seahawks during the 2023 NFL draft, McIntosh has largely been Seattle's third string running back behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet. However, he has seen larger roles in the offense during the games when Walker has missed time due to injuries of his own. McIntosh was once again projected to be the Seahawks' third stringer, competing with fellow seventh round rookie Damien Martinez from this year's draft. So far in his career, McIntosh has rushed 31 times for 172 yards. Should the worst be confirmed, it will likely signal the end of McIntosh's 2025 season before it even begins. We at Seahawks Wire will continue to monitor the situation, and hope for the best. This article originally appeared on Seahawks Wire: Seahawks fear RB Kenny McIntosh has torn his ACL
