Report – Expectations Sky High For Breakout Young Striker At Inter Milan
Expectations are reportedly sky high for striker Francesco Pio Esposito behind the scenes at Inter Milan. This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908. Francesco Pio Esposito will become part of Inter Milan's senior squad next season. Having joined the Nerazzurri youth academy at the age of thirteen, Pio Esposito starred at several youth team levels. Then, he spent the last two seasons on loan with Spezia. And it was last campaign that the young striker really broke through. He managed to score nineteen goals for Spezia, nearly firing the Ligurians to promotion from Serie B. Therefore, it was little surprise that virtually every club in Serie A was interested in signing Pio Esposito this summer. Naturally, Inter considered loaning Pio Esposito out. A stint with a team in the top flight would ensure regular playing time and the opportunity for the 20-year-old to develop. But in the end, that is not the route that Inter took. (Photo by) According to Tuttosport, Inter are not just making a hopeful bet on Pio Esposito. On the contrary, after the young striker's performances at the Club World Cup, Inter believe that there is a real chance that the 20-year-old can make a big impact in their first team. Pio Esposito has a profile that Inter didn't previously have in their squad. A real out-and-out Number Nine, and a physical battering ram of a centre-forward. The 20-year-old's combination of physicality, holdup play, and finishing ability mean that he will certainly have his chance to play next season. And within Inter, the feeling is that Pio Esposito could become a key player next season.

Report – Italy Coach Gattuso Closely Following Inter Milan Breakout Star For International Team
Italian national team coach Gennaro Gattuso is closely following the development of Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito. This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Francesco Pio Esposito is set to be part of Inter's senior squad this coming season. After two seasons on loan with Spezia, the Nerazzurri gave the 20-year-old a chance to prove himself at the Club World Cup this summer. And it was an opportunity which Pio Esposito grabbed with both hands. Therefore, he will be part of Inter's plans for Serie A, the Champions League, and the Coppa Italia. (Photo by) And according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, one particularly interested party in Pio Esposito's development this season would be Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso. The legendary former AC Milan midfielder took over as Azzurri boss this summer from Luciano Spalletti. And one area of the pitch in which there is some doubt for Italy is the attack. It has been some time since the Azzurri have been able to call upon a truly top-class centre-forward. There have been some candidates to step up recently. Among them are Mateo Retegui and Moise Kean. However, if Pio Esposito is able to maintain his trajectory playing in Serie A, he could certainly also stake his claim for the national team. The 20-year-old Inter striker has a combination of physicality, holdup play, and finishing ability that is very rare indeed. Therefore, Gattuso will be watching with a keen eye to see whether Pio Esposito earns a spot as Italy's centre-forward for years to come with his performances over the coming season. The young striker has already earned some comparisons to past Italy greats like Luca Toni and Christian Vieri. And Gattuso might be the happiest person of all if Pio Esposito can make good on them.

Young Striker Hoping To Become Rare Success Story From Inter Milan Academy
Striker Francesco Pio Esposito is hoping to become a rare thing – a major success story from Inter Milan's youth academy. This according to to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews. A stint with a team in the top flight would ensure regular playing time and the opportunity for the 20-year-old to develop. But in the end, that is not the route that Inter took. Francesco Pio Esposito Hoping To Become Rare Inter Youth Academy Success Story SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – JUNE 24: Francesco Pio Esposito of FC Internazionale faces the media during the Training/Press Conference ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 match between FC Internazionale Milano and CA River Plate at Virginia Mason Athletic Center on June 24, 2025 in Seattle, Washington. (Photo by) The Nerazzurri will give Pio Esposito a place in their senior team next season. This follows the impressive exploits that the 20-year-old showed at the Club World Cup. That proved to be a kind of trial run for him in an Inter shirt. As the Corriere della Sera note, Pio Esposito is hardly going to be a first-choice starter for Inter. However, the Italy Under-21 international will certainly get his chances to play. And furthermore, the fact that Pio Esposito does not use up a slot in Inter's Champions League squad due to coming through the youth academy can be very useful. And the 20-year-old has the chance to really make his mark on the senior team in a way that almost no youth academy graduates have in recent years. Federico Dimarco, of course, has been a major success story. However, he needed to find his feet in a number of loan spells first. Meanwhile, the closest precedent for Pio Esposito as a striker would probably be Mario Balotelli.

Agent Of Inter Milan Star Confirms: 'Atalanta Wanted A Lookman Swap, Inter Turned Down €50m Cash'
Agent of Inter Milan starlet Francesco Pio Esposito has confirmed that Atalanta requested his client as part of a deal for Ademola Lookman. Speaking to Radio CRC via FCInterNews, Mario Giuffredi also revealed that Inter had rejected a mammoth offer for the young talent. Francesco Pio Esposito is a star in the making. Indeed, after a stellar breakout season at Spezia, the 20-year-old is ready to prove his worth at San Siro. After netting 19 goals in Serie B last term, Esposito returns to Inter seeking regular first-team action. Furthermore, new boss Cristian Chivu has already unveiled his intention to hand the youngster a prominent role next season. Therefore, Inter took the striker off the market at the start of the summer. However, several clubs didn't seem to get the message, as they tried to purchase one of Italy's most exciting talents. Yet, their offers fell on Inter's deaf ears. Agent of Inter Milan star Francesco Pio Esposito confirms Atalanta Attempt to Exchange Him for Ademola Lookman BERGAMO, ITALY – JANUARY 21: Ademola Lookman of Atalanta celebrates scoring his team's fourth goal during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD7 match between Atalanta BC and SK Sturm Graz at Stadio di Bergamo on January 21, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by) 'Inter are well aware of his value, to the point that they rejected offers worth €50 million,' Giuffredi stated. On the other hand, Atalanta had tried to force Inter to include Esposito as part of a deal for Ademola Lookman. However, Chivu's men immediately turned them down. 'Atalanta proposed a swap deal involving Lookman for Pio Esposito,' Giuffredi added. 'The Lookman deal doesn't conflict with Pio Esposito, as he has different characteristics from the Atalanta player. 'I don't know exactly what Inter's coach has in mind. 'However, I'm sure Cristian Chivu will give Pio Esposito playing time because he knows him very well.' Unlike Francesco Pio, his brother Sebastiano will likely leave Inter in the coming weeks. Indeed, the Serie A giants have put the 23-year-old up for sale as they aim to raise funds for Lookman.

Parma Will Only Sell Inter Milan Target For €40M – Not Interested In Player + Cash Offers
Parma will only sell Inter Milan linked defender Giovanni Leoni for €40 million, and won't take any player-plus-cash bids. This according to today's print edition of the Gazzetta di Parma, via FCInter1908. They note, however, that the situation could change if Inter included Francesco Pio Esposito. Inter Milan are keen to sign Parma defender Giovanni Leoni. The 19-year-old has clearly emerged as Inter's top target in defense for the summer transfer window. Inter had already taken an interest in Leoni already last summer. And the season that he had at Parma has really solidified their interest – particularly his form under coach Cristian Chivu. Parma Will Only Sell Giovanni Leoni For €40M – No Player + Cash Offers However, Parma are not going to let Giovanni Leoni go for cheap. Reportedly, the Emilian club want a fee of at least €40 million to sell the 19-year-old. And according to the Gazzetta di Parma, they are going to stick to that valuation. Moreover, the newspaper anticipate, the Gialloblu would have little intention of lowering the price if there is a player going the other way as part of the deal. That would include Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito, despite some recent rumours. However, the situation could change if Inter were to put Sebastiano's brother Francesco Pio Esposito on the table as part of an offer for Leoni.
