'Inter are well aware of his value, to the point that they rejected offers worth €50 million,' Giuffredi stated.
On the other hand, Atalanta had tried to force Inter to include Esposito as part of a deal for Ademola Lookman.
However, Chivu's men immediately turned them down.
'Atalanta proposed a swap deal involving Lookman for Pio Esposito,' Giuffredi added.
'The Lookman deal doesn't conflict with Pio Esposito, as he has different characteristics from the Atalanta player.
'I don't know exactly what Inter's coach has in mind.
'However, I'm sure Cristian Chivu will give Pio Esposito playing time because he knows him very well.'
Unlike Francesco Pio, his brother Sebastiano will likely leave Inter in the coming weeks.
Indeed, the Serie A giants have put the 23-year-old up for sale as they aim to raise funds for Lookman.
