See if You're Able to Survive Five Nights at Freddy's on PlayStation Plus Now

CNET20-05-2025
The iconic horror series Five Nights at Freddy's launched more than 10 years ago in 2014, and now PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can test their survival skills in one of the newer entries in the series.
PlayStation Plus is Sony's version of Xbox Game Pass, and it offers subscribers a large and constantly expanding library of games. There are three PlayStation Plus tiers -- Essential ($10 a month), Extra ($15 a month) and Premium ($18 a month) -- and each gives subscribers access to a selection of games. However, only Extra and Premium tier subscribers can access the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
Here are all the games PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can play right now. You can also check out the games that PlayStation added to the service in April, which include Hogwarts Legacy.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted -- Full Time Edition
Congratulations, you've been hired as overnight security at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Don't be alarmed if the animatronics start walking around and chasing you. This entry in the Five Nights at Freddy's series is an anthology of minigames based on the franchise. You'll have to complete tasks around Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and other locations from the previous games in the series. But don't get distracted -- you still have to survive the homicidal animatronics. This version of the game includes both VR and non-VR modes.
Battlefield V
Take to the land, air and sea in World War 2 with this installment of the popular Battlefield series. You'll fight in locations like Iwo Jima, the French countryside and other battlefields from WW2 in single or multiplayer modes. This version of the game includes the game mode Firestorm -- Battle Royale, where you and more than 60 other players will fight each other to claim victory.
Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy
The Chornobyl Exclusion Zone was established in the wake of the 1986 Chornobyl disaster. It is one of the most radioactively contaminated areas on Earth, and you get to explore it in this collection. You'll investigate the origins of the Zone, forge your own path through the dangerous area and navigate the different factions in the Zone. This collection includes the entire trilogy of games: Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat.
Other games added to the PS Plus Game Catalog
PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can play all of the games listed above, as well as the ones listed here.
Battle Engine Aquila*
Gloomhaven Mercenaries Edition
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
Humankind
Sand Land
Soul Hackers 2
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life
*Premium subscribers only.
For more on PlayStation Plus, here's what to know about the service and a rundown of PS Plus Extra and Premium games added in April. You can also check out the latest and upcoming games on Xbox Game Pass and Apple Arcade.

Revisit some of the best games on PlayStation Plus this weekend (August 1-3)

August is going to be a big month for game news thanks to Gamescom, but not so much for releases until the end. That's when we'll get our hands on Metal Gear Solid: Delta and the PS5 exclusive Lost Soul Aside. As always, we also have some great new PlayStation Plus games on the way on August 5, but that means we have one more weekend to fill before getting our hands on another excellent month of games. I'll be the first to say that navigating the backlog of games on PS Plus is cumbersome to say the least, but there are tons of top-tier games hidden in those menus you may not know are there. This weekend, join me in giving these awesome games some love. Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition Devil May Cry was the latest video game show to get adapted back in April thanks to the animated Netflix show that perfectly recaptured that early 2000s style. While it took some liberties with the lore and characters, it brought a ton of attention to the original series. Everyone has their personal favorite entry, but Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is widely considered to be the peak of the stylish action franchise. The Special Edition is built specifically with current-gen systems in mind for perfect performance, amazing graphics, but also a ton of new content. The most exciting of which is the ability to play as Virgil in addition to Nero, Dante, and V. If you like styling on demons, seeing some of the craziest cutscenes in gaming, and over-the-top battles, you will struggle to find a better game than this. Recommended Videos Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. World War Z: Aftermath One of the most interesting games coming to PS Plus next month is the cult classic DayZ. This survival game originated as a mod of another game, Arma 2, before expanding into its own massive zombie survival game. It is a hardcore and punishing take on zombie games, but also old, clunky, and it demands a lot of time to become proficient in. What I suggest as an alternative, or warm-up if you're keen on that type of experience, is World War Z: Aftermath. This zombie shooter is much more on the arcade-y side of the scale, playing more like a Left 4 Dead game, only with hundreds more zombies swarming you at a time. If you played Space Marine 2 last year, this is from the same team so you can expect that same level of mayhem. Grab some friends and have a blast ripping thousands of zombies to shreds. World War Z: Aftermath is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising I'll talk more about it next week, but we have a somewhat weak anime game coming next week. Sadly, it is still a rarity when a game based on an anime is even average, let alone good. But if there's one studio you can count on to make an amazing anime fighter, it's Arc System Works. This is the team that made Dragon Ball FighterZ and my pick for this week, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Don't let the fact that it's a fighting game turn you off — there are tons of beginner-friendly options and tutorials to get you pulling off combos and flashy supers in no time. Plus, there are tons of side modes and a fully featured single-player mode to play with. With full rollback netcode, though, this game plays like a dream online. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is available now on PS4, PS5, and PC.

Battlefield 6's Game-Changing Multiplayer and More Revealed During Blockbuster Global Event

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, during a live global multiplayer reveal event, Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) and Battlefield Studios unveiled Battlefield 6™, the ultimate all-out warfare experience. Launching on October 10, Battlefield 6 is available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam™, EA App, Epic Games Store). During the blockbuster event, Battlefield Studios provided a first look at new and returning multiplayer modes, a tantalizing sneak peek of the global scale blockbuster Single Player campaign and of course the evolution of Battlefield Portal. The year is 2027. The world is on the edge of chaos. After a high-profile assassination shocks the world, major European countries have left NATO, while the US and its allies grapple with the fallout. A massive private military corporation unafraid to cross lines, with deep pockets and the latest tech, looks to fill the power vacuum. This army is PAX ARMATA. What's left of NATO is in tatters, wounded and battered. This is the world of Battlefield 6. Battlefield 6 introduces a host of new features, including the all-new Kinesthetic Combat System, which brings enhancements to movement and gunplay. This gives players an unprecedented level of mobility, offering new tactical options such as Drag and Revive to pull teammates out of danger and back from the brink, and mounting weapons on walls to reduce recoil. The iconic class system returns better than ever, with Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer, empowering players to define their role on the battlefield. The four roles have been enhanced, designed to empower players to push their team towards victory, each with class-specific gadgets, signature weapons and dedicated training. Destruction also returns, but enhanced to offer an unparalleled level of freedom, letting players transform the combat zone, to create new paths, flank enemies and dominate the battle. Battlefield 6 will launch with a robust package of multiplayer modes and maps, taking the fight around the world from Egypt, to Gibraltar and the streets of New York. Each map features multiple combat zones, hand-crafted and tailored to suit specific modes, ensuring each fight is designed to compliment the player experience and provide a variety of play options. Fan favorite multiplayer modes return in Battlefield 6, with classic staples making an appearance, including Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush. Players will also experience a host of fast-paced and intense first-person shooter staples, including Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination and King of the Hill. While a brand new mode called Escalation sees two teams fight to capture strategic control points. 'We knew when we set out to create the future of Battlefield, we had to nail the fundamentals of what players have loved about the series for more than 20 years,' said Byron Beede, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Battlefield. 'We're back in our all-out warfare playground, with four world-class teams developing the game as a single squad known as Battlefield Studios. Criterion, DICE, Motive, and Ripple Effect have put their heart and soul into this next Battlefield and we're thrilled to have shared our first look with you today and can't wait to see you playing next weekend during the Open Beta.' Battlefield 6 also launches with an all-new and improved iteration of Portal – the creative toolset that lets you redraw the lines of war. Portal is more powerful and streamlined than ever before, giving players brand new tools to create completely unique content called Community Experiences. Ambitious post-launch support will continue to add more modes, maps, weapons, and other features to the game on a consistent basis. 'I've worked on a lot of titles over the years and can confidently say that Battlefield 6 is something special,' said Vince Zampella, Executive Vice President. 'We can't wait to show more of Battlefield 6 's intense tactical combat and epic warfare in the months to come, leading up to its release on October 10." Battlefield' s biggest Open Beta ever goes LIVE for two weekends from August 9 through August 10 and from August 14 through 17. Fans will have the chance to join the Open Beta two days early on August 7, by watching some of their favorite streamers play the game. The beta allows players to experience several of the multiplayer modes and maps and is available across all available platforms. Visit the following link to find out more here. Surprise! This 65-inch Sony LED TV just hit its lowest price ever on Amazon

TVs are getting cheaper and cheaper these days, but you rarely see Sony models dip under $1,000, especially one as good and feature-rich as this. Right now, you can get the 65-inch Sony Bravia XR X90L LED TV for $898 on Amazon. That's a huge slashing on one of our favorite TVs from 2024, and the lowest price yet for the X90L to date. In our Sony Bravia X90L review, we hailed its HDR performance, anti-glare properties, and black levels, making it the ideal choice for movie lovers. The Sony X90L also uses full array local dimming to give you clear and concise contrast. And there are also PS5 exclusive features like Auto Genre Picture Mode and Auto HDR Tone Mapping, which means you can expect to get the best performance from your gaming console. The Sony X90L LED TV is a serious entertainment display. Sony knows its HDR and color specs, which are built off the back of its reference monitors, and the X90L shines with incredible contrast and black levels. I tested the Sony X90L TV last year and was blown away by its picture performance. What stood out for me was its HDR prowess in content like the "The Batman" and "3 Body Problem." Even its motion processing had a pep in its step that I truly enjoyed. Even though its an LED display, the X90L still handled glare quite well. I never had an issue watching darker shows or movies even in the middle of the day, which was a pleasant surprise. Of course, it's a Sony TV after all, so you can also expect to have some PS5-exclusive features in the mix. While I personally wasn't a huge fan of its high input latency, the X90L still does well in delivering best-in-class gaming performance for a display at this price. The X90L was one of my favorite TVs to test last year. And this is a killer deal if you want a premium set for less right now.
