Report – Inter Milan Could Move For Ex Man United Star If Lookman Pursuit Falls Through

Yahoo2 days ago
Inter Milan could reportedly move for Marseille striker Mason Greenwood if their pursuit of Ademola Lookman falls through.
This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan's pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has certainly been encountering difficulties.
The Nerazuzrri have had two offers rejected for the 27-year-old Nigerian international. And they are not sure how much higher they'll have to go after La Dea turned down €45 million including add-ons.
Therefore, Inter are looking around at other possible targets to bolster their attack if they're unable to sign Lookman.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, a new name has emerged on Inter's list of attacking targets.
23-year-old Marseille striker Mason Greenwood has been a target for a number of teams in Serie A in the last couple years.
The likes of Lazio and Juventus have reportedly targeted Greenwood.
The Englishman joined Marseille from Manchester United last summer. This followed a tumultuous exit from Old Trafford amid allegations of domestic assault.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter would consider a move for Greenwood as a backup to Lookman.

Man Utd, Newcastle See Liverpool Transfer Target as Backup Plan Amid Limited PSG Minutes

Gonçalo Ramos' future at PSG has been up in the air all summer, fueling plenty of transfer talk around the Portuguese striker. Despite continued interest from the Premier League, the latest signs point toward him staying in Paris. Ramos finished the 2024-25 season with 19 goals and six assists in 46 appearances. Whether that's enough to lock down a regular starting spot at PSG remains unclear, but the club is reportedly keen to keep him amid the speculation. Back in May, CaughtOffside reported that interest in the 24-year-old was growing, with Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Napoli, and Juventus all monitoring his situation. Arsenal and Manchester United are also in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer. Journalist Graeme Bailey previously noted that Manchester United had the green light to pursue Ramos, with PSG open to a potential sale. The striker has also reportedly held discussions with clubs across Europe and in Saudi Arabia. Premier League clubs monitor PSG standout's futureOn Tuesday, CaughtOffside reported, citing sources, that Ramos' limited playing time at PSG has drawn interest from several Premier League and Serie A clubs, who see an opportunity to land a proven goal scorer. According to the report, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Liverpool are all weighing up potential summer moves. Liverpool, in particular, are said to be considering Ramos as a long-term addition. Manchester United are also exploring forward options and reportedly view Ramos as a backup plan if their top striker targets fall through. The Reds are currently focused on signing Newcastle's Alexander Isak, but if that pursuit doesn't pan out, Ramos could emerge as a serious option. United, meanwhile, have Benjamin Šeško as their primary target, with Ramos still under consideration as an alternative.

Raspadori frustrated as Atletico Madrid will not reach Napoli demand

Giacomo Raspadori wants to play consistently, but while Serie A sides have stayed silent, Atletico Madrid are not even close to the €30m plus add-ons price set by Napoli. The situation seems to be at a standstill, much like it was in December 2024, which is when the striker had first asked to be sold. Napoli convinced him to stay and he went on to become a key figure in the race towards the Scudetto triumph. Raspadori has to be a big investment COMO, ITALY – FEBRUARY 23: Giacomo Raspadori of SSC Napoli celebrates with his team-mate Romelu Lukaku after scoring their team's first goal during the Serie A match between Como 1907 and SSC Napoli at Stadio G. (Photo by) However, now he has decided to move on in order to get more regular playing time and finding someone ready to meet the Napoli demands is proving to be tricky. The Partenopei want €30m plus add-ons to let Raspadori leave, a request that has so far put off all Serie A contenders. Atletico Madrid were the only club to make a genuine approach, albeit with no official steps yet, but their proposal doesn't even reach €25m. As things stand, the Italy international is going nowhere unless those figures change, one way or the other.

Napoli resume Musah talks with Milan awaiting Nottingham Forest

The arrival of Ardon Jashari could push Milan to sell Yunus Musah, with Napoli reportedly ready to go back in, competing with Nottingham Forest. Jashari represented one of the sagas of the summer and is finally concluded with the Club Brugge midfielder landing on Italian soil this evening. He will undergo a medical tomorrow morning to complete the €39m transfer, including add-ons. Musah playing time will be limited at Milan Yunus Musah of AC Milan in action during the Serie A match between AC Milan and SSC Napoli at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on October 29, 2024 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) That was a big investment and the Rossoneri will now be more inclined to sell Musah for a profit in order to raise funds. According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli have resumed negotiations with Milan for the USMNT midfielder, having been so close to an agreement a couple of months ago. Back then, the offer was close to €25m including bonuses and deemed insufficient, as he cost €21.2m to buy from Valencia in 2023. Nottingham Forest remain interested and are expected to make a formal bid, but until then, the Partenopei are still in the running.
