Amal Clooney exudes old Hollywood glamour in black gown as she joins Kristen Stewart and Helena Christensen at star-studded premiere of Bono: Stories Of Surrender at the Cannes Film Festival

Amal Clooney, Kristen Stewart and Helena Christensen led the stars attending the premiere of Bono's new film Bono: Stories of Surrender at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday.
George Clooney 's wife Amal exuded old Hollywood glamour as she arrived to the premiere wearing a flowing black dress.
The human rights lawyer, 47, looked sensational in the figure-hugging garment which featured a sweetheart neckline and a flowing train.
Styling her brunette locks into loose waves, Amal accessorised with a pair of silver drop earrings as she posed for the cameras.
Twilight star Kristen, 35, opted for a different look for the evening as she sported a white blazer along with a matching mini skirt.
The actress also wore a white shirt along with a short black tie while she added height to her frame with a pair of black heels.
Letting her platinum blonde tresses fall loose down her shoulders, Kristen completed her outfit with a pair of white socks.
Helena cut an elegant figure in an off white dress with short sleeves that clung to her incredible physique.
The Danish supermodel, 56, also wore a pale pink feathered jacket for the evening which she paired with a matching clutch.
Wearing her brunette locks in a sleek updo, Helena complimented her look with an eye-catching gold necklace and matching earrings.
Bono, the man himself, cut a dapper figure for the event as he arrived on the red carpet in a black suit along with a matching shirt.
The singer, whose real name is Paul Hewson, was joined by his U2 bandmate The Edge as they posed playfully together for the cameras.
Joining them was actor Sean Penn who cut a suave figure in a black suit along with a matching tie and a crisp white shirt.
The film pulls back the curtain on Bono's life along with the family, friends and faith that have sustained him. He also reveals personal stories about his journey as a son, father, husband, activist and rock star.
Also in attendance at the premiere was Petra Nemcova who looked incredible in an off the shoulder red midi dress which she wore with silver heels.
Over recent years, Cannes has arguably won more attention for the outfits worn by its celebrity guests than the roster of feature films being screened on the Croisette.
But new nudity rules, devised for 'the sake of decency,' have been implemented at this year's festival.
According to organisers, the austere move is an attempt to stifle the celebrity trend for 'naked dresses' - namely provocative outfits that reveal considerably more than they conceal - on the red carpet.
'For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as any other area of the festival,' states a Cannes festival document.
'The festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit red carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules.'
The surprise new policy features in a recent festival-goers charter - released with a series of outlines regarding expected public behaviour.
Guests are expected to converge on the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière for some of the highest profile film screenings across a packed two-week schedule in Cannes.
Kristen added a casual touch to her look with a pink cap as she posed alongside fellow actress Imogen Poots
It's understood that the iconic venue now adopts a more conservative dress code, with suits, dinner jackets and floor-length evening gowns generally favoured over headline grabbing ensembles.
Classic little black dresses, cocktail dresses, pant-suits, dressy tops and elegant sandals, 'with or without a heel', will also be permitted.
While the decision to implement a more stringent policy will be a first, it is not known if French TV broadcasters, wary of airing nudity, played a role in its enforcement.
Major red carpet events, including the Cannes Film Festival, are aired in France by France Télévisions
Recently attracting more models and influencers than actors and filmmakers, the annual ceremony has seen an increase in risque red carpet fashion statements.
In 2021, American supermodel Bella Hadid bared her cleavage in a plunging black gown while attending a screening of Tre Piani (Three Floors).
She pulled a similar stunt three years later, with guests at the 2024 gala left speechless after she attended the premiere of Donald Trump biopic The Apprentice completely braless beneath a sheer brown evening dress.

Truth about the romance rumours swirling around Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones: Insiders tell KATIE HIND how their friendship has evolved - and why it could be great news for the BBC

When the BBC began searching for two permanent presenters to host its Morning Live show, they hoped to find the next Richard and Judy. Another hugely popular married couple like Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan – who launched ITV 's This Morning back in 1998 and defined chatty morning television for a generation – were exactly what BBC bosses wanted if they were to win a ratings war with their long-running ITV rivals.

'Only Dave and I knew how much pain he was hiding as he filmed Hairy Bikers one last time...' Widow LILI MYERS recalls the last weeks of her beloved husband's cancer battle - and an incredibly moving moment in his final hours

I have still not watched the final series of The Hairy Bikers. I'm not sure I could bear it. Dave, my beloved husband, was far more poorly than he let on publicly at that point. Most people wouldn't notice or realise the significance, but I know I'd recognise a look on his face, a slight wince in the way he moved or steadied his balance, and I don't want to be reminded of his struggle.

EXCLUSIVE Seven BBC women alerted bosses over Wynne Evans' conduct... So why did he tell TV's Cat and Ben: 'There have been no complaints about me. Ever'

The BBC received seven complaints from women over Wynne Evans ' conduct towards them, including one claim he made an inappropriate comment about a pregnant woman's breasts during a Zoom call. The Mail on Sunday's revelations come just days after opera singer Evans, axed from his BBC Wales breakfast radio show last month, protested on ITV 's This Morning that there had been no allegations made against him. He appeared on the show last Wednesday to tell hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: 'There has never been any complaints about me. Ever!' The MoS can instead disclose that BBC Wales staff raised the seven separate grievances between July 2023 and August 2024, including a period after Evans, 53, was approached to appear on last year's Strictly Come Dancing. Four of the complaints were made before he joined Strictly, raising questions over why the dance show's producers signed him up. Three more were made after he had been chosen for the show. A report into his behaviour was prepared in January for a disciplinary hearing which he said he could not attend, citing mental health issues. The Go Compare frontman's time on Strictly was mired in controversy. The Mail on Sunday told in January how he was filmed using the vile term 'spit roast' – a three-way sex act – to his co-star Jamie Borthwick in relation to professional dancer Janette Manrara during the launch of the Strictly Live Tour. He apologised and left the tour. Evans had earlier been caught up in a 'wandering hand' incident with his Strictly dance partner, Katya Jones. One source said of the BBC Wales complaints: 'Some of the comments he made were awful. 'Imagine making a comment about a pregnant woman's breasts. His behaviour left many women feeling uncomfortable.' A former colleague, who wants to remain anonymous for fears of career repercussions, told the MoS the complaints were well known among staff at the Welsh broadcaster but 'everyone was afraid to speak out' because Evans was seen as 'untouchable'. She said: 'That's why he got away with it for so long and why he will get away with it.' The woman revealed how the father-of-two's inappropriate behaviour 'built up over the years'. She said: 'At first, he was known as an idiot and a clown but it turned into something more sinister and tipped into being inappropriate and uncomfortable to be around and work with. 'These complaints are real. He is not just someone who has made a few rude jokes. There are women who have made complaints and he was warned time and time again and just kept going. 'The argument that he has of 'Oh, I'm just a product of my time. It's just a joke'... well, those times are gone and you can't act that way, especially if you have been warned about it.' A BBC spokesman said: 'We take any issues raised with us seriously and we have robust processes in place to deal with them.' A spokesman for Evans declined to comment.
