Netflix adds Bryan Cranston's 'must-watch' thriller fans still love - and it's not Breaking Bad

Daily Record10-07-2025
The third and final season of the show scored a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, proving it's one of the best series finales of all time
Netflix is breathing new life into a captivating cult thriller that concluded several years ago.
Featuring one of the biggest names in high-quality television, this three-season drama began in 2015 and was among Prime Video's most popular shows at the time.

It wrapped up in 2019 and maintained critical acclaim throughout its entire run, earning near-perfect scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

In fact, the third and final season scored a coveted 100 percent on the aggregator, indicating it has one of the strongest conclusions to a popular drama in recent years.
Starring Giovanni Ribisi with guest appearances from Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston in the first season, Sneaky Pete is now available on Netflix and is an absolute must-see, reports the Mirror.
Whether you're a newcomer or eager to revisit one of your favourite dramas, this enthralling dark comedy about a con man who assumes the identity of his cellmate to avoid detection is not to be missed.
A synopsis reads: "Sneaky Pete follows Marius, a con man who gets out of prison only to find himself hunted by the vicious gangster he once robbed.
"With nowhere else to turn, Marius takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete and then 'reunites' with Pete's estranged family – who have no reason to suspect he is not their long-lost loved one."

If you're still not convinced, take it from fans of the show who have lavished Sneaky Pete with hundreds of five-star reviews over the years.
One Google user exclaimed: "Easily one of the best shows of the last few years. Watched it twice over now and the acting is impeccable.
"Ribisi gives a fantastic performance and so does Margo Martindale and literally everybody else, the script and writing is great, the story is entertaining and keeps you at the edge of your seat and it even mixes in some comedic parts that don't feel out of place and aren't overused."

Another viewer remarked: "One of the BEST series I've seen in such a long time. The entire cast does such a great job each season.
"I'm a HUGE fan of Giovanni Ribisi and once again, he held it down. Bryan Cranston is also a great actor and I loved what he brought to season 1."

A different fan shared: "One of the main reasons I began streaming Amazon was for this show. I watched all three seasons in one weekend.
"I was so wrapped up in the plot and the characters. I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am that it has been cancelled and there will not be a fourth season. It was that addictive!"

And yet another enthusiast wrote: "Loved this series! The acting, writing, direction - all fantastic.
"I really cared about the characters and loved watching them evolve. I loved season 3 and the ending.
"It was fun as a wild ride, but it also had deep messages about belonging and love versus transactional relationships. I will be thinking about this show for a long time."

Billy Joel reveals significant health update following brain condition diagnosis

Billy Joel has shared an update of his health with fans after cancelling his UK tour following a brain disorder diagnosis Billy Joel has opened up about his health following the revelation that he's been diagnosed with a brain related condition. The 76 year old singer-songwriter provided an update during a recent podcast appearance, where he discussed one of the symptoms he's currently experiencing. ‌ Earlier this year, Billy revealed he had been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus. According to the NHS, it's considered 'uncommon' and typically impacts people over the age of 60 and symptoms can include issues with mobility and signs of dementia. ‌ Grammy Award winner Billy has given an update on his health in a newly released podcast episode. Appearing as a guest on the latest instalment of the Club Random podcast, Billy told host Bill Maher that he's feeling "fine," the Mirror reports. ‌ Podcast host Bill brought up the musician's new HBO documentary, Billy Joel: And So It Goes, which launched last week. He said: "I learned so much about you. First of all, your health. I mean, all your fans want to know ... you had something. Did we fix it?" Addressing the question, Billy stated: "It's not fixed, it's still being worked on." After the host remarked that he "looks good" and "sounds good," Billy responded about his condition: "I feel fine. My balance sucks - it's like being on a boat." ‌ Billy said that his condition, normal pressure hydrocephalus, was once known as "water on the brain." When asked what causes it, he said: "Nobody knows. They don't know." He added: "I thought it must be from drinking." Billy then revealed that he doesn't drink "anymore," adding: "But I used to, like a fish." He continued: "I feel good. They keep referring to what I have as a brain disorder, so it sounds a lot worse than what I'm feeling, y'know." ‌ It was announced in March that Billy had to postpone some of his concerts due to a medical condition that wasn't disclosed at the time. He had been due to perform at venues across the UK including Edinburgh's Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on his latest tour. A statement issued at the time read: ""[Billy's] upcoming concert dates will be rescheduled due to a medical condition. The current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors." ‌ Billy, who was "expected to make a full recovery," expressed his regret in his own statement included in the announcement. He said: "While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first. I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding." Two months later, it was revealed that he would be cancelling all scheduled gigs due to a 'recent' diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), as it was said that the gig had "exacerbated" the condition. ‌ At the time, a statement read: "This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance. Under his doctor's instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period." It continued: "Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritising his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage." In a statement released at the time, Billy offered an apology to his fans. He said:"I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding."

Meet Alex Warren's Influencer Wife Who Took A Huge Risk Six Months After Meeting Him Via Snapchat

The world of social media has created a whole new class of celebrity, which includes singer, YouTuber and influencer Alex Warren and his wife Kouvr Annon. After meeting through Snapchat in 2018, they both joined the Hype House – a collective of young TikTok personalities based in California – a year later. Fast forward to now and they are happily married with Alex dedicating his recent song 'Ordinary' to his wife. If you want to know more about Kouvr and their relationship then you've come to the right place. Kouvr is a social media influencer who found fame on TikTok. She is known for creating content with her husband Alex. With more than 2.5 million followers on Instagram and 16 million followers on TikTok, she has built up a loyal fanbase with her modelling, travel and promotional content. Kouvr is 25 years old. She was born on 31 May 2000. Alex Warren and his wife Kouvr Annon at the 51st American Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 26, 2025. (Photo by Michael Tran / AFP) They met via Snapchat after Alex messaged Kouvr's friend to say she was cute. 'I felt I could tell her everything,' Alex said of their relationship in March, 'just after our first conversation.' When they met Alex was still living out of his car. His father died of cancer when he was nine years old and his mother allegedly suffered with an alcohol addiction and kicked him out of the house. Four months after they started talking, Kouvr moved to California from Hawaii to join Alex and they both lived in his car. 'There was no one else I would've wanted to go through that with,' he wrote on Instagram. Like many influencers, Alex and Kouvr have evidently been through some difficult times and have shared their experiences with millions of followers. They moved into the Hype House just before the pandemic took hold and both featured in Netflix's 2022 series, Hype House. That year the couple decided to 'move on to the next chapter' in their lives and leave the house share. Alex and Kouvr have been together since 2018. They got engaged on New Year's Eve in 2022. 'After running around for hours and almost losing the ring on a gondola, I found the perfect place to ask her to marry me,' Alex told People. 'I remember how terrified I was even though I knew she was going to say yes because I wanted it to be perfect for her.' The duo married in June 2024 in California. Kouvr said marriage signifies her 'commitment and response of protecting someone'. She added, 'I couldn't image what my life would be without him, and I'm so happy that I don't have to.' Not yet, but they have both been vocal about their desires to start a family. 'I know that Alex is going to be the best father that there ever could be in the world but I can't wait to be a mom,' she said. Yes, Alex's 2025 single 'Ordinary' is about his experience of falling in love with Kouvr. Of course, she is an influencer. She is @k0uvr on TikTok and @kouvr on Instagram. Nikki Peach is a writer at Grazia UK, working across entertainment, TV and news. She has also written for the i, i-D and the New Statesman Media Group and covers all things pop culture for Grazia (treating high and lowbrow with equal respect).
