Indian YouTuber Detained In Turkey Over Derogatory Remarks On Women: Report

An Indian content creator has reportedly been detained in Turkey after massive outrage over his alleged derogatory remarks targeting Turkish women. YouTuber Malik SD Khan, who is known among his followers as 'Malik Swashbuckler', came under fire after a series of videos appeared on his channel, where he was seen making sexually explicit remarks on Turkish women.
Though Malik has taken down his YouTube and Instagram accounts amid the row, some of the clippings are still circulating on social media, where the YouTuber can be seen using offensive language in Hindi-believing locals wouldn't be able to understand him- as he made rape threats and sexually explicit comments against women.
In one of the clips, he referred to a woman as "maal", while in another, he asked viewers if he should sexually assault his Turkish guide at night. In another video, Malik was seen entering a Turkish store and demanding to know why they don't have an Indian flag on display, as he used foul language against the shopkeeper.
Some Turkish social media users, who understood what was being said in the videos, flagged them, leading to public backlash.

Following the complaints, Turkish police have detained Malik Swashbuckler, according to a report by Turkiye Today.
However, Turkish authorities have not released any official statement about the YouTuber's arrest or details about the investigation.
The case comes at a time when India-Turkey ties have hit rock bottom over the country's show of support to Pakistan following the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. The videos were shared online after many Indian tourists boycotted Turkey in the aftermath of India-Pakistan tensions.

According to Tyla's Instagram post, the incident occurred on May 30 at Extra Space Storage, a self-storage facility in Nashville. Tyla and a queer friend were reportedly verbally harassed by five men working as movers at the property. Tyla reported the harassment to Extra Space Storage staff and began walking to her car. 'As we walked, the 5 men begin verbally harassing us again, we tried to just get to the car safely without any sort of interaction. We had a screaming match outside of our vehicle until one man started walking up on us telling us that we're still men and he could beat us,' Tyla wrote. Fearing for her safety, Tyla reported the harassment again. However, the movers were still allowed access to the building. 'Scared for my safety. we proceeded with letting the Extra Space Storage know that we were harassed a second time which the employees should have locked the building down, instead the movers were about to get into the building, which led to Jeremiah Hendrix physically attacking me, he said I had assaulted him by throwing drink in his direction (police confirmed that's not what happened) his attack was intentional and came from hate. this is the first time ever in Nashville I've ever felt so unsafe, terrified for my safety in that moment a grown man twice my size fully trying to beat me,' she wrote. Tyla shared CCTV footage of the attack, which quickly went viral on social media and sparked widespread outrage. Punjab Police have arrested an alleged spy with strong connections to Pakistan's spy agency ISI and a top Khalistani terrorist, Gopal Singh Chawla, the state police chief said on Tuesday. The accused has allegedly shared critical information about Army movements with agents across the border for years, including during Operation arrested accused, Gagandeep Singh, leaked sensitive classified information, including details of troop deployments and strategic locations, posing a serious threat to national security, officials investigation reveals that Gagandeep Singh had been in touch with Pakistan-based Khalistani terrorist Gopal Singh Chawla for the past five years, through whom he was introduced to the Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIOs).
