Arsenal will act as hosts on Tuesday evening, for the first leg of a highly-anticipated Champions League quarter-final tie with reigning holders Real Madrid.
The matchup will see some of the game's standout attacking talent lock horns, from Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid, to the aforementioned Bukayo Saka at Arsenal.
And as alluded to above, in the buildup to the fixture, the latter of these players made clear his appreciation for Vinícius.
Speaking to the media with a view to tomorrow's action, wide-man Saka was drawn on the difficulties which Real Madrid's attacking talisman has faced when it comes to racist abuse.

And the England international made use of the opportunity to hail Vinícius for his resilience, explaining:
'Racist insults directed at Vinícius ? I know him as a player and I know his path. He's had difficult moments, but he's shown he's bigger than that.'

Lionel Messi names one Barcelona goal as favourite of his entire career

Lionel Messi names one Barcelona goal as favourite of his entire career Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has this week provided an insight his personal favourite goal of his career. And the Argentine's pick may come as something of a surprise… Veteran attacker Messi has of course been responsible for some of the most spectacular goals in modern history. Advertisement From solo specials to thunderous left-footed drives and sumptuous free-kicks, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner's efforts in front of goal will go down in football folklore. Immediately springing to mind when thinking back to Messi's very best goals are those against the likes of Bayern Munich, Athletic Club, and Getafe. It is another, though, which the 37-year-old himself considers to be his personal favourite. Speaking during an interview with Inter Miami, as part of the club's 'A Goal in Life' campaign, this week, Messi was drawn on the topic of his best goals ever. And the Barcelona icon went on to highlight his crucial Blaugrana header against Manchester United in the Champions League finale in 2009: Advertisement 'I've scored many goals that might have been even more beautiful and valuable, also because of their importance, but the header in the Champions League final against Manchester United has always been my favourite.' Arsenal in talks over €80m Benjamin Sesko signing

Arsenal are in negotiations with RB Leipzig over a deal to sign Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko. Mikel Arteta has narrowed his search for a striker down to two options, with Sesko and Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres the two candidates. Arsenal are currently focused on Sesko and discussions are underway with Leipzig over a deal. Advertisement The German side will demand that Sesko's release clause is met, which currently stands in excess of €80m (£67.2m). Sky Germany are reporting that it is unclear whether Arsenal can meet that figure but talks over a transfer and potential payment structure are ongoing. Earlier this week, there was a meeting between Leipzig's Marcel Schäfer and Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta in London. Sesko is a long-standing target for Arsenal, who approached Leipzig over a deal last summer. The 21-year-old turned down a move to the Premier League in favour of signing a new contract, but is now keen to explore his options. Leipzig are expected to sell Sesko and Xavi Simons in the summer window after failing to secure European football. Why Arsenal want to sign Benjamin Sesko Sesko is regarded as one of Europe's best centre-forward prospects and has scored 39 goals in 87 games since joining Leipzig from sister-club Red Bull Salzburg. At international level, he's scored 16 times in 41 caps for Slovenia. Advertisement The 6ft 5in forward would offer Arsenal another aerial presence at set-pieces, with Arteta's side emerging as one of Europe's most prolific teams from set-plays in recent seasons. Arsenal struggled in the absence of a centre-forward over the second half of last season. Kai Havertz, whose season was virtually curtailed in February due to a hamstring injury, was the club's leading league scorer with nine goals. It was the first season 1923/24 that Arsenal failed to have a player reach 10+ league goals in a campaign.
