Tri-Village wins program's first state title
AKRON, Ohio (WDTN) – Tri-Village softball won the program's first-ever state championship Sunday after defeating Sugarcreek Garaway 6-0 in the final. It was the Patriots' first trip to the state final since 1980.
Emma Greet led the way at the plate for the Patriots, going 2-3 with an RBI base hit.
Elizabeth Poling tossed a dime for Tri-Village, pitching the complete-game shutout with just three hits given up and striking out three.
Tri-Village finished its state championship season with a perfect 30-0 record.

OHSAA official Tim Stried said this was the first time two teams from the Southwest Ohio District met in the Division 1 Softball finals, according to the Lebanon Athletic Department.
