LIVERPOOL will make a £40million 'take-it-or-leave it' offer to Crystal Palace for defender Marc Guehi.
And that should have a great chance of landing the centre-half, who turns 25 today and has always held a big interest in going to Anfield.

Guehi was the Eagles' star attraction as the club launched their new kit yesterday, but champions Liverpool want to see him in their famous red.
The FA Cup-winning Crystal Palace skipper is now in the last year of his contract and would take the move despite Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle all being keen.
Guehi, who played 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Millwall yesterday, has never made a fuss over previous bids.
And he will allow the clubs to sort out the fee without agitating.

Insiders say Guehi is one of the most down-to-earth players and football is his priority over finance.
Guehi is still on the five-year deal he signed when joining from Chelsea in 2021, ignoring new contracts and waiting for the right step up, with the Reds a favourite.
Palace are not interested in swaps, despite the Kop's highly-rated Ben Doak, 19, and others being potentially available, as they need the cash to land replacements.
Boss Oliver Glasner wants Palace chiefs to deliver TWO new defenders — and that will be a challenge.

Sporting's Ousmane Diomande, 21, is Glasner's first choice but the Ivory Coast international is also in the same £40m range.
That would mean the second newcomer has to be a loan — with a likely move to land Portugal star Tiago Djalo, 25, from Juventus.
Marc Guehi forced to tell overexcited Crystal Palace team-mate to shut up in hilarious tunnel footage
Palace are reeling from Uefa booting them out of the Europa League into the Conference because John Textor has a stake in both their club and French rivals Lyon.
The demotion will also impact their budget — but the Eagles will appeal.

Former Rangers coach ‘eyes swoop for Ibrox star as two European rivals battle it out for his signature'

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) CLINTON NSIALA is being targeted by two European clubs that play in the same league, it's being claimed. Rangers boss Russell Martin has already made it clear that the defender will leave the Ibrox club this summer - just one year after sealing his move to Scotland. 2 Clinton Nsiala is expected to leave Rangers in the coming weeks Credit: Willie Vass 2 Issame Charai is keen to sign him at his new club Credit: Alamy Nsiala, 21, moved to Glasgow last summer after agreeing a pre-contract switch from Italian giants AC Milan. The French defender made 13 appearances for the Gers first team in all competitions last season and played regularly under interim boss Barry Ferguson. But he has since fallen down the pecking order at Ibrox with manager Martin admitting he's set for the exit door after the friendly against Club Brugge. Martin has already brought two new centre-backs to the club as Emmanuel Fernandez joined in a permanent deal, while Nasser Djiga arrived on loan from Wolves. It leaves Nsiala out-of-favour and the Light Blues gaffer is keen for him to leave on loan for more game time. And now two clubs have reportedly joined the race to sign him for the upcoming season. The Daily Record claim that Zulte Waregem and Westerlo - both of Belgium - are set to battle it out to sign the defender on loan. Zulte are looking to add to their squad ahead of their campaign in the top flight next season after winning the Challenger League last term. Rivals Westerlo finished the season in tenth place last season and narrowly missed out on a Conference League spot for the upcoming campaign. They are now managed by former Rangers assistant manager Issame Charai who only left Ibrox last month. Rangers boss Russell Martin opens up on transfer plans as he delivers updates on Dessers and Igamane He's well aware of Nsiala's qualities and could have the edge in the transfer race given his Ibrox connections. The 21-year-old won't be the only defender to head out of Govan in the coming weeks. John Souttar could also depart as he's a shock target for Turkish side Trabzonspor. Ben Davies remains at the club as well but he's also expected to leave before the season gets underway. Left-back Ridvan Yilmaz could also be on his way out after losing his shirt number to Bournemouth loanee Max Aarons. Newcastle confirm stance on Alexander Isak amid Liverpool interest

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, with a suggested offer of £120 million. Newcastle are insistent that Isak is not for sale, valuing him at approximately £150 million and working to secure him on a new contract. Isak, who has three years remaining on his current deal, has been a pivotal player for Newcastle, contributing to their Champions League qualification and Carabao Cup victory. Liverpool are considering Isak as a potential option to bolster their attacking line-up, amid possible departures of other forwards. Separately, Liverpool have rejected a £59 million bid from Bayern Munich for winger Luis Diaz, maintaining their stance that he is not for sale despite his contract nearing its final two years.
