EASTENDERS is set to reveal a massive surprise in tonight's episode and all the clues are pointing to it being the return of Zoe Slater.
The Sun exclusively revealed how the iconic character is set to make a shock comeback 20 years after actress Michelle Ryan quit the soap.

And with today's episode being held back from an early iPlayer release for new boss Ben Wadey's first episode - here are all the signs that point to Zoe's return.
We know she's coming back
The Sun revealed last month how Michelle Ryan was making a bombshell comeback as her iconic character.
A source said: 'Bosses have repeatedly reached out to Michelle over the years, but the timing has never been quite right.
'People are still talking about her character, so it's a real coup to bring her back.
'She feels like now is the perfect moment — and there was an exciting script on the table.'
But is she back tonight?
It's an anniversary
As we all know EastEnders loves an anniversary.
It's been 20 years since Zoe's exit, and 25 five since the Slaters arrived as a big new family.
With Kat taking over the Queen Vic - it's clear new boss Ben Wadey intends for the Slaters to be at the centre of the show once more.
So what better way to do that than bring back to prodigal daughter?

Teasers
The BBC knows how to give good tease for storylines.
And after a rock few years, it got its mojo back with the flashforward and The Six storyline - but now it needs something new.
Videos posted onto the soap's social media have dropped a few hints that Zoe's return is imminent.
One video features the distinctive sound of a woman's heels clacking through the Square.
Another shows a poster with three letters standing out - Z, O and E.

Ben Wadey, EastEnders Executive Producer said: 'Next week marks the start of something big in Walford that we hope will get everyone talking, and it's only just the beginning.
'We've got twists, shocks, and plenty of drama lined up for a summer you don't want to miss.'
Could it be anything but Zoe at this point?
Spoiler hints

This week we know that Alfie will get a phone call from Stacey and have a 'problem to contend with'.
In tomorrow's episode, Alfie is revealed to be 'elsewhere' as Kat desperately tries to contact him.
By Wednesday, Kat has spoken to Alfie but feels he isn't being completely honest with her.
And Thursday, when it's time for them to make their marriage official, things go from bad to worse as Alfie says he has to fly to Australia to see his brother Spencer as he's not coping.
All this suggests that Alfie will be connected to the big mystery - in one big way.
Alfie's brother Spencer's ex Kelly is Zoe's best pal - and when she left two decades ago, she was likely pregnant with his child - and Spencer had no idea.
The fan theory is that Kelly has now died and Zoe will return with the now grown-up child of Kelly and Spencer - hence Spencer struggling.

Controversial Strictly star forced to slash ticket prices by 50% after show scandal meant tour failed to sell out

Now you can catch the pro's performances at a steal of a price KEEP DANCING Controversial Strictly star forced to slash ticket prices by 50% after show scandal meant tour failed to sell out STRICTLY Come Dancing pros have slashed tickets to one of their upcoming shows after failing to sell out. The performance, scheduled at New Theatre Oxford tomorrow (Tuesday 17th June), will see two faces join forces as part of their joint tour. Advertisement 3 Giovanni and Anton have had to slash their ticket prices in half Credit: Supplied 3 The pair have been performing across the UK over the last weeks Credit: Giovanni Pernice, who famously left Strictly after Amanda Abbington triggered a probe into his backstage behaviour, has teamed up with Anton Du Beke for a tour they've named 'Together Again'. However, tickets have now been slashed to 50% off via the Show Film First in order to fill seats, with £43 tickets now going for £20.91. At their most expensive, tickets were going for £143 each, but now available for just £53. The entire balcony has also been closed off in order to bring ticketholders down to lower (and typically pricier) seats. Advertisement The Together Again tour will continue across the UK through to the end of July. Giovanni and Anton have been longtime collaborators, with their travel show being axed in the wake of the Giovanni scandal, despite earning a Bafta nomination. Giovanni has since been cleared of all but six allegations made against him by former partners, including Abbington. Whilst Giovanni was cleared of being physically abusive to Amanda Abbington, he stressed that it made last year 'a dark year'. Advertisement He said previously: 'I'm not going to lie, there were dark moments in terms of, you know, this is finished, this is the end of my career. "That was one of my down moments. Sorry for my language but 2024 can f**k off," he added. "I've been looking forward to seeing the back of it.' Giovanni Pernice stands by strict methods as he reveals upset at not winning the Glitterball with 'brilliant' Amanda Despite the Sicilian dancer sharing his hopes to rejoin the series, The Sun recently revealed that Simone Arena is set to replace him. The hunky Italian, 33, is the boyfriend of Michelle Tsiakkas, 29, who is also on the show, will join in the Autumn as one of two new pros. The Voice UK fans face major blow after ITV reveals shake-up

Fans of The Voice UK might have a little longer than usual to wait for their next fix of the ITV singing show. The Voice premiered on BBC One in 2012, airing on the channel for five series before ITV acquired the rights in 2017. With Emma Willis serving as host, the 2025 series was due to air this autumn. However, according to reports, the launch date has been pushed back to early 2026. As claimed by insiders to The Sun, the UK edition of the global franchise will air next January as the schedule undergoes a shake-up. Episodes will reportedly air on weekend nights, but it is yet to be confirmed whether it'll be a Saturday or a Sunday slot. The last series of The Voice UK – which aspires to make stars of unsigned musicians – was won by Ava Manning, who was mentored by the show's first-ever coaching duo, McFly's Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher. But it's not just the schedule getting a rejig this time, as the famous faces sitting in those iconic red chairs will also have a fresh addition. US pop star Kelly Rowland has been confirmed as a new coach, replacing Can't Fight the Moonlight hitmaker LeAnn Rimes. LeAnn, 42, left the show to focus more on her US career, having featured on just one series after the axing of Olly Murs and Anne-Marie. She will now appear as a mentor on the American version of The Voice, alongside Sheryl Crow. As for Kelly, she's certainly no stranger to a judging role. The Destiny's Child legend, 44, famously sat beside Gary Barlow, Tulisa, and Louis Walsh on the UK X Factor in 2011, when girl group Little Mix triumphed. She's also coached singing talent on The Voice Australia, replacing Ronan Keating in 2016 and becoming the winning coach for series 7 when two of her contestants made the final. Speaking ahead of making her Voice UK debut, the Bootylicious hitmaker said: 'I am excited to join The Voice UK as a coach and am looking forward to working with the excellent and passionate coaches the show is known for. 'I can't wait to hear all the new talent and to go to battle for my team. Let's go!' Presenter Emma, who has been fronting the programme since series 3, has also expressed her excitement to watch Kelly in action. 'I'm so excited to be back for another series of The Voice UK,' she declared. 'It's one of the most joyful shows to work on – full of passion, talent, and, of course, those unforgettable moments when the chairs turn.' 'With our brilliant coaches returning and the utterly fabulous Kelly Rowland joining the panel, I know this series is going to be something really special,' she teased. Kelly will sit on the panel beside returning duo Danny and Tom, plus Welsh legend Sir Tom Jones, and who have been part of The Voice furniture since the start. Sir Tom's only absence was for series 5, when his axing caused widespread outrage among viewers. At the time, Sir Tom claimed he had no idea he had supposedly been let go from his coaching role, but, much to everyone's delight, he was back the following year. In a press statement ahead of the 2026 series, he said that 'it's always a pleasure to return to The Voice UK as, every year, [he's] reminded of the incredible talent we have in this country.' 'I'm looking forward to sitting alongside once again, having Tom and Danny in their chair for a second series, and of course, I'm excited to welcome Kelly Rowland to the panel,' he said. 'She's an amazing artist with a huge amount of experience to share.' More Trending Plenty of dazzling stars with decades of music experience under their belts have coached on the show in the past, including Jessie J, Kylie Minogue, Ricky Wilson, Boy George, and Rita Ora. As well as a life-changing record deal with Universal Music, The Voice UK awards its winner with £50,000 in cash and a trip to Universal Studios Florida. ITV has been contacted for comment.
