Carla reels in early Coronation Street ITVX release as Lisa storms out
This article contains spoilers for tonight's Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Tensions were running high in the Connor-Swain household today ahead of Craig Tinker's memorial service.
Poor Craig was killed while on duty last month, leaving his friends, colleagues and neighbours completely devastated.
With the memorial just around the corner, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) are undoubtedly feeling the pressure, with both detectives trying their very best to hold it together.
For Lisa, this involves shutting her loved ones out and putting on a brave face – much to girlfriend Carla Connor's (Alison King) frustration.
Lisa's bad mood was contagious it seemed, with Carla taking out her frustrations on the factory staff, until they eventually relented and sent Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) to try and cheer her up.
Carla admitted that she was having difficulty getting Lisa to open up, and Betsy made it clear that this behaviour was typical of Lisa when she was struggling.
However, when Carla asked for her advice, Betsy didn't have anything to offer, leaving Carla to try and work things out alone.
The factory boss eventually settled on cooking a nice meal, which proved to be the wrong choice when Lisa arrived home and claimed not to be hungry.
The pair argued about Lisa's coping mechanisms, with the detective refusing to accept support and storming out, leaving Carla baffled. More Trending
Not wanting the food to go to waste and hoping that Roy Cropper (David Neilson) could shed some light on the issue, she invited him over.
However, he was equally at a loss about what to do, and when Betsy returned home all she had to offer was good luck.

Popular TV star ‘forever grateful' as major series opts to bring her back
Kelly Thiebaud has confirmed she is returning to US soap General Hospital. The star portrayed the role of Britt Westbourne in the show on and off from 2012-2023. The character, however, was killed by a serial killer and died from a poisonous hook, leaving many fans wondering how the star is actually returning. Also at the time of her death, Britt was showing signs of Huntington's disease. It's possible Kelly will be playing a different character, or a classic soap twist will be delivered and Britt will be returning from the dead. In 2022, Kelly picked up a Daytime Emmy for her role as Britt in the show. Taking to Instagram to confirm her return, Kelly revealed that she is thrilled to head back to her old home. 'To get the chance to do it all again, and do it better than before, I will be forever grateful to ABC, Frank Valentini and all of my General Hospital family', she wrote in a Stories post. How to watch Love Island 2025 first episode - start time, channel and lineup
ITV Love Island returns to our screens this week, marking the official start to the summer of love! The time has come - the show of the summer is back. We might claim we're skipping it this year, or insist it's past its prime. But like clockwork, we always find ourselves drawn back into the tears, drama and whirlwind romances that only Love Island can deliver. 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the show and the 12th season. As ever, a stunning group of singletons attempt to find love on the ITV dating show, and we'll all be left hooked on their every word. The series has introduced the UK to many household names - with the likes of Molly-Mae Hague, Scot Laura Anderson, Maura Higgins, Chris Hughes, Tommy Fury and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu just some of the previous islanders who have gone on to find love outside, and inside, the villa, and achieve big things. Love Island is back on our screens tonight (June 9) and like always, we'll be tuning in every evening to watch the drama unfold. Here's everything you need to know about the launch episode. When does Love Island start? This year the season starts later, with previous runs starting a week after the May bank holiday weekend, around June 3 and 4. However this year, ITV opted to have the reality dating show start a week later. The launch episode for season 12 will air tonight (June 9) at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. As always weekdays, as well as Sundays, will host the regular show on ITV2, and Love Island Unseen Bits will be airing in place of it on Saturdays, giving viewers a look at some of the scenes that hadn't been screened previously. Who is entering the villa? The line-up of 12 singletons was released last week, and even that didn't come without the drama. Just days after the line-up was announced, one contestant - Kyle Ashman - departed the villa for 'personal reasons,' despite ITV announcing he will be taking part in the show. An ITV spokesperson said: "For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the 'Love Island' villa as planned." However, it was rumoured that he was taken off the line-up for an alleged machete attack in February of this year. Since returning home, Kyle released a video online explaining the situation, in which he said: "Hello everyone, I'm Kyle. I just came on here to say, I'm sure you've seen the news circulating. I'm innocent, there was no further action. "I'm not a bad guy, honestly, I'm not a bad guy. I'm a normal guy from a normal place. And opportunity arose to find love. I grabbed it with both hands and it's been taken away from me. I've seen all the support pages and, who knows, maybe I'll get a chance to go on Casa Amor or as a bombshell - get back in and show you who I really am, show you that I'm not a bad guy. We'll see." Instead taking his place is 25-year-old pro rugby player Connor Phillips from Limerick, Ireland. He'll be joined by 11 other singles, including a Scots model, a musical theatre actress, a semi-pro footballer and a personal trainer. You can take a look at the full line-up here.
