Former IndyCar Star Paul Tracy Shines in Trans Am Series Win
At 56 years old, former IndyCar Series great Paul Tracy has found yet another racing life in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli.
Tracy, who won 31 times in Indy cars in a career that lasted from 1991 to 2011, won his first XGT class race in the Trans Am Series on Sunday at Sebring International Raceway in Florida.
Tracy, driving the No. 10 Race Cars For You Innovation IRC GT, led from start to finish and held off runner-up Kaylee Bryson on a mid-race restart to cement the win.
"Today was great," said Tracy. "Thanks to the guys from IRC for inviting me out here to come test this car for them. We're really just trying to get it up to speed and get used to it and see how it performs at these Trans Am races.
"What a great event Tony Parella has put on. He's built this series up, and you see the amount of cars here and the enthusiasts and the people racing everything from the big TA cars all the way down to the sportsman stuff, and it's just great to see. We're looking forward to Road Atlanta."

In other classes from Sebring, defending season champion and former NASCAR Cup star Paul Menard kicked off the season with the win from the pole in the TA class on Sunday. Menard was aided by a little misfortune suffered by 2023 TA2 series champ Brent Crews, who passed Menard five laps into the race only to fall victim to mechanical issues.
The win was Menard's second consecutive win at Sebring. He won here a year ago on his way to an eventual TA class championship.
"Today was eventful," said Menard. "I had a fast car all weekend. We finally put it all together for qualifying and had the track position to start up front and lead some laps. Brent Crews was just really, really quick, and after five laps, he ran us down.
"We had a little battle and he got by me clean. Then, Adam [Andretti] started running me down. We got that caution and it kind of saved me from him. We had short-run speed; we've got to work on a little long-run speed, but we know what we've got to do. I'm really proud of the guys. We had two cars this weekend and the guys busted their tails all weekend long, bouncing back and forth between Brandon Jones and myself and keeping us running strong. It's so great to be back at Sebring. Hell of a way to start the year."

Pacers add to legendary clutch status with new NBA Playoffs record
The post Pacers add to legendary clutch status with new NBA Playoffs record appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Indiana Pacers trailed the Oklahoma City Thunder by 15 points in the fourth quarter of the opening NBA Finals showdown. So, in other words, they had them right where they wanted them. Tyrese Haliburton, who was fairly quiet from a scoring standpoint, once again swooped in at the eleventh hour and sunk a tremendously clutch basket to propel his team to a stunning 111-110 road victory. Advertisement The Paycom Center turned uncomfortably silent, while the basketball-watching world exploded on social media. Indy committed 19 turnovers but only trailed 12 at halftime, a strong indicator that it would have a chance to steal another W in hostile territory. Sure enough, Rick Carlisle's deep and endlessly resilient squad tightened up, made timely stops and knocked down shots during crunch time. Most of those who witnessed the heart-stopping finish are still trying to gather their bearings. For the Pacers, though, this has become just another day in the franchise's most legendary postseason run ever. Thursday night's Game 1 thriller marked the fifth time that they have overcome a 15-point-plus deficit in the 2025 NBA playoffs, which is the highest total in the play-by-play era (since 1997), per Keerthika Uthayakumar. Indiana is 5-3 when facing such a disadvantage, a mind-boggling stat that perfectly encapsulates a mind-boggling spring. The Eastern Conference champions did not take the lead until the final 0.3 seconds of the game, and yet, they kept their composure. The squad only had six turnovers in the second half, shot a sweltering 46.2 percent from 3-point range (18-of-39) and dominated the rebounding battle, 56-39. Haliburton scored a modest 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting but did grab 10 rebounds. His teammates helped put him in position to sink the game-winner. The Pacers are no one-man show Pascal Siakam totaled a team-high 19 points and also secured 10 rebounds. Aaron Nesmith recorded 12 boards and brought vital energy. Myles Turner was one rebound shy of a double-double and tallied three blocks. Obi Toppin made five 3-pointers off the bench. All of these men will get their due for the part they played in the magnificent comeback. Advertisement But Andrew Nembhard must get his flowers, too. Although the 25-year-old guard shot a meager 36.4 percent from the field, he pushed the pace on offense and put forth a notable defensive effort. Nembhard drained a huge step-back 3-pointer to cut the deficit to three with two minutes remaining and did enough to prevent Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from stretching the lead in the waning seconds. The Pacers put together a complete effort and have snatched home-court advantage, once again. This is the third consecutive series that Indy has won a road Game 1. Neither the Cleveland Cavaliers nor the New York Knicks were able to recover from their upset losses. Will the 68-win Thunder buck the trend? Gilgeous-Alexander is surely reminding everyone in the locker room that they were in the exact same spot in the Western Conference Semifinals, collapsing in the final minute versus the Denver Nuggets. They survived and ascended to another gear the following round. A similar level of tenacity will be required if OKC hopes to redeem itself in the NBA Finals. That is certainly possible, many would even say likely, given this team's balance and defensive intensity. But the Pacers have withstood all counter punches to this point. If they can do it in the Finals, this gripping tale of intestinal fortitude will be immortalized in sports lore. Aston Martin Valkyrie LM Gives Customers Their Own Le Mans Car
Just a week before its return to top-level racing at Le Mans, Aston Martin has revealed another version of its V-12-powered Valkyrie supercar. Called the Valkyrie LM, it's essentially just a customer variant of the Valkyrie that will race at the legendary 24-hour enduro, albeit with fewer regulatory restrictions. Limited to just 10 examples, the Valkyrie LM will share the same chassis and bodywork as the car you'll see zipping around Circuit de la Sarthe on June 14. Underneath the skin, you'll find an identical double-wishbone suspension with pushrod torsion bar springs, alongside adjustable side and central dampers. It'll also have the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated, Cosworth-sourced V-12 engine, paired to the same seven-speed, paddle-shifted sequential transmission. Photo by: Aston Martin Photo by: Aston Martin Photo by: Aston Martin But while the Valkyries destined for the WEC and IMSA championships are restricted by ballasts and FIA-regulated electronics, the LM won't have either. Theoretically, it should be even quicker than the actual race cars, since it'll be lighter. The car will also be easier to run, with specific Pirelli slicks and a recalibration to run on readily available fuel. Aston says it has reworked the cockpit interface for more casual track day use. There's a six-point, FIA-rated harness and a fire suppression system, along with a carbon fiber bucket seat, an integrated driver display, and, of course, shift lights. 'It is important to emphasise that the Valkyrie LM is close to identical to the race car that is currently competing in WEC and IMSA, with only a few minor deviations to ensure it is a non-homologated variant and is accessible for customers to experience and enjoy," says Adam Carter, Aston Martin's head of endurance motorsport. "Valkyrie LM represents the most authentic Hypercar track experience that is now available.' Buyers of the Valkyrie LM will be able to take full possession of their cars, but if you're the type who prefers to arrive and drive, Aston Martin will offer a program where you can do just that, with all the transportation and crew support handled by the brand. The company will even supply driver coaches, classroom sessions, and data analysis as needed. Photo by: Aston Martin Aston Martin predicts first deliveries will start in the second quarter of 2026. At the end of that year, the company will invite all 10 owners to a "special evening" at its headquarters in Gaydon, England, which will include a fancy dinner. There's no price available for the Valkyrie LM, though it's likely to cost a pretty penny, seeing as how the normal Valkyrie is a $3.2-million car.
