Model shuts down huge dating misconception
A former professional golfer turned social media personality and model has finally opened up about her love life after being plagued by rumours for years.
Paige Spiranac, 32, who attended San Diego State University before going pro in golf in 2015, was married to Steven Tinoco, an athletic trainer. However, she revealed the pair parted ways in 2022.
Since her divorce, the American model has been the subject of rumours and headlines concerning her dating life — particularly men she has created YouTube content with.
Rumours have swirled about herself and other professional athletes, including NFL star Tom Brady and LIV Golf player Bryson DeChambeau.
However, Spiranac shut down all allegations that she had ever dated someone in the spotlight during her show The SPINvitational, saying it was a 'big misconception'.
The 'original Insta golf girl', who boasts four million followers on Instagram alone, said: 'Never been on a date with anyone famous. I've had pro athletes or famous people slide in my DMs. I've never dated anyone famous.
'It's funny because I'll see all these headlines. There was one where I shot content with Bryson DeChambeau and then the next headline was I was dating Bryson DeChambeau. Tom Brady was one of them, which was so crazy.'
Spiranac added: 'It's like any time I shoot content with a male celebrity, that's the headline or all of the comments, which can be really difficult for my job when I work in a male-dominated industry and I'm just around male golfers, and a lot of male celebrities love professional golf, and people in business.'
She said she would be photographed with people at events, and then the next headline would link the duo together romantically.
'It's really frustrating because I've never dated anyone famous ever, not even close,' she said.
Spiranac, who is known for sharing snaps of her golf outfits to social media, is no stranger to having to shut down rumours about her personal life. She's previously had to torpedo reports that she 'did sexual favours' to get an invitation to the Dubai Ladies Masters.
She said this was because many thought the opportunity was above her level of skill.
Appearing on the Quiet Please! podcast, the former golf pro said it was at the outset of her career and she had just started going viral on social media — something that 'flipped' her life 'upside down'.
'I got this invite to play an LET [Ladies European Tournament]. I had just turned pro, I had never played golf outside the country. And everyone was like, 'It's low key, don't worry about it. No one is going to know if you play well or not',' she said.
'I show up and was doing hours of press, which I wasn't prepared for. I had no training to do this. And I would say there were a couple of girls who were really supportive and who were nice, but the majority, it was brutal. I would go on the range and girls would just scatter. No one wanted to hit next to me.
'There were constant comments like 'I did sexual favours to get this invite,' and I was listening to it — and they would say [it] within earshots of me. It was tough. Not knowing what I was doing, it was my first pro event, it was really difficult. I just wanted to be liked and I played so bad. It was horrendous.'

Justin Bieber posts cryptic message about ‘transactional relationships' after fans begged him to ‘get help'
Justin Bieber penned a cryptic message about friendships in a new rant after fans begged him to 'get help.' 'Tired of transactional relationships,' the Peaches singer wrote via Instagram Sunday. 'If I have to do something to be loved That's not love.' Along with the caption, Bieber attached one blurry selfie and another close-up photo of himself. Several fans rushed to the comments to share their concern for the 31-year-old pop star, with one writing, 'It's obvious dude is crying for help.' 'Are you sleeping okay? Seems like you are posting at all hours of the day. A good rest helps so much!' another chimed in, referring to his daily posts. Others voiced their support for Bieber, with a fan saying, 'You're very loved, we're here.' 'We love you Justin,' another gushed. Bieber's latest post comes after many fans claimed he looked to be 'seriously struggling' in a series of bathroom selfies shared on Instagram Saturday. The snaps showed the Baby singer awkwardly posing and making odd faces in the mirror. 'U could point at my flaws,' he captioned the photo dump. 'Or u could recognize ur own lil b***h.' One of his fans commented that it was 'hard and sad to watch' Bieber's behaviour while those 'around him' were 'not helping him when he's clearly struggling.' 'Babe. Please go get help,' a second added. Bieber first sparked concern earlier this year when he was behaving oddly at his wife Hailey Bieber's Rhode pop-up event in February. At the time, fans speculated the pop icon was consuming drugs, however, his spokesperson denied the 'harmful' rumours. Bieber hasn't shied away from flaunting his marijuana use on social media, and several people close to him have admitted they are worried about his mental wellbeing.

Queen Elizabeth II's first cousin Lady Marina Windsor announces surprise engagement to boyfriend of two years Nico Macauley
Lady Marina Windsor has announced her engagement to her boyfriend of two years, Nico Macauley. The first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, 32, took to Instagram on Sunday to share the happy news through a series of snaps with her now-fiancé. Lady Marina beamed beside Nico, 32, who is the great-grandson of William Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose. She showed off her new silver engagement ring, which features a small, smooth square onyx gemstone at its centre, with detailing on either side. Lady Marina proudly displayed the band in another snap of her at a dimly lit restaurant where she looked elegant in a white dress. The philanthropic executive and her beau celebrated their engagement with a glass of champagne. Lady Marina cut a casual figure in a yellow dress and leaned into her fiancé, who wore a navy jumper, as the pair toasted to their wedding. "Very happy!" the third cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry wrote of becoming the future Mrs Macauley in the caption. While royal family members congratulated the soon-to-be husband and wife, others were taken aback by their seemingly sudden engagement. Lady Marina's younger sister, Lady Amelia Windsor, 29, expressed her joy, writing: "Yippeeee!" Her aunt, Lady Helen Taylor, who is the daughter of Prince Edward and Katharine, Duchess of Kent, said she was the "happiest auntie". "Happiest auntie in the whole world - love u so best best news," she wrote. Lady Marina is seldom seen in public with Nico and was recently spotted at a charity event for Elephant Family, a not-for-profit dedicated to protecting the Asian elephant from extinction, in London without him. The third cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry attended the star-studded charity bash alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Beatrice, actor Ed Westwick and his wife, actress Amy Jackson, as well as Brazilian footballer Ronaldo Nazario and his wife, model Celina Locks. Nevertheless, Nico routinely makes an appearance in loved snaps of the couple on Lady Marina's Instagram. Last week, they were photographed embracing while sitting on a stone wall in Connemara, western Ireland, with two pints beside them. In 2008, Lady Marina was 25th in line to the British throne when she was removed from the line of succession. The news, which made headlines, came after the then 16-year-old was confirmed into the Roman Catholic Church. According to the Act of Settlement 1701, this disqualified her. In 2015, the succession to the Crown Act was changed to allow Catholics to marry into the royal family without losing their place in the line, though Lady Marina's position was not restored.
